Katsu would give a quick sigh, listening mostly quietly but having to give a release of his emotion when Ward spoke of the unwillingness of Earthlings to believe of things beyond them. He'd turn to look at the pair and continue to listen quietly as they spoke further upon his questions. Ward would speak first, mostly about how he could not speak further for the very reason Katsu had chided him earlier. Fair enough. Then Hops would speak and give some level of workable information, and Katsu would think a moment before responding. ”Sounds almost like the Norse Myth about the Realm of Valhalla. A domain of the Aesir, or the gods, where the honored dead would go to feast and train and fight to their pleasure for eternity. It is supposedly a place of Heroes and Champions of Righteousness.”
”It is unfortunate that even beliefs such as that have already faded from the cultural mindset here on Earth. So many of the people get so wrapped up in the events on the planet they don't want to think of anything beyond it. Some instead have over-inflated egos, and somehow think they are the most important. Only the most intelligent of our species seem willing to look beyond. Ahhhh... it's so troubling...” Katsu would scratch the back of his head lightly as he gave a deep sigh, shoulders sagging for a moment before he righted himself.
The elevator was quite speedy, and the forty floors between destinations had already been accomplished smoothly. The doors would open to reveal a grand restaurant set into the side of the building, literally into the side of it. The entire place was technically outdoors, with a great amount of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants dotted around the walkways, all with the scents of cooking food and the occasional whisper of conversation by some hidden patron of the restaurant. Looking up you could see the open sky between the tree branches, and this high up the smell of the sea overpowered the city scents from below, and combined with all the fresh plants the scent was crisp and clean. It was as if they had stepped into a jungle paradise amongst the cityscape.
Nearby there would be a pretty young waitress wearing a one piece... dress that was designed to look like a bare covering of vines and leaves, and her hair was similarly covered, making her look like some classic depiction of a Dryad. She would smile dazzlingly at the trio before greeting them with a bow that showed off every curve. Katsu would give a small nod in response and say, ”Table for three; and forgo the usual service. My compatriots here don't have that kind of appetite, so we'll just be eating food, if you please dear.” Thus far the pair of Shinjin had shown a distinct aversion to the more base needs of mortals, so Katsu doubted they'd have any interest in the services provided by the staff here. No, they'd just enjoy a very private meal in the middle of a garden, and speak of things beyond the borders of this world.
