Vegeta was full of surprises, not all of them unpleasant. Advances in gastronomy had made foodcubes into a tasty survival treat, and there was growing discontentment against the war effort. A wealth of movies and comics had been made, K4 devoured them with the processing power left by his pursuit of the lost Strongbones as well as his schemes. That is to say that his hobbies were consumed by piecemal, panel by panel or a scene at a time. He liked analysing their meaning, how they shaped and were shaped by the zeitgeist. Violent as ever, popular saiyan culture wound up lagging behind popular saiyan opinion by just a couple of weeks. He expected the upcoming Pirate Queen issue to analogize the armistice and the uneasy peace that came from it, doubtlessly controversy would arise, and the boards he ghosted would... do as they usually did.
Taking a blessed minute to watch a holofilm film, No Knutts, the cyborg was taken aback not by the hyperviolence of the first scene but by the energy signature that flashed in his screen. The suddenness scared him, but no more than the realization that little baby Ise was on Vegeta. Why? How? Was Hibernal here too? He had justified his absence, arranged for it to be filled by a small army of robo-appliances he had constructed himself. Maybe his employer had come on vacation, choosing the ruined side over the collapsing side as the tuffles did not offer the same thrill and danger as the saiyans. Young Ise, strong Ise, should be kept away from thrill and danger. As should all kids in his opinion.
Joylessly and quicklike K4 shut off the holoprojector and capsuled it, blasting off to find the child. He planned on bringing her back to Hibernal, or Arcose, before someone thought themselves strong enough to take on a blind girl and win. The cyborg himself had been assaulted multiple times already! He won over every time, but could he be so certain about Ise? She was not a war machine, just reckless.
