“Gambling seems rather boring, just money being shuffled around between people” Ise said with a shrug never quite understanding the point of it “Plus from what I understand much of the games involved would require far more fine detail grasping than I can accomplish at the moment. Cards with pictures, spinny tables with numbers, not exactly my forte” Ise shrugged again, not particularly bothered that her lack of vision would hold her back from such activities.

“Also if it was done right, producing a few top fighters would be beneficial for the overall, at least military wise if not species wise. If less emphasis was put on their use in the field they could aid in improving the overall power quality of the rest of the fighters. PLUS you never said tho give you the advantages a protracted war could have on just the whole” Ise said with a grin, she also did feel that at least to a degree her reasoning DID hold true on a wider basis, though it certainly was more likely to have limited overall benefits.

Kayfor’s next question was… confusing. He wanted her to provide a reason for someone to destroy Arcose with the press of a button. “Uhhhm…” Ise paused for a few moments to think it over “are they ON Arcose?” That was a pretty important factor, it would theoretically be far harder to achieve if this situation was guaranteed to result in the person also being blown up.

Kayfor had, inadvertently, done exactly the opposite of what he had been aiming for. If he had intended on steering Ise away from the concept of gambling he had instead managed with his clarification on the gains from gambling managed to actually intrigue the young Saiyan. She had based off of what she knew assumed it to be all about the money but now Kayfor was claiming there was more to it, knowing and controlling the processes of the game.

Ise had a very simple response to Kayfor’s ‘Don't you feel that much smarter’ a rather more childish response than she would usually give, she stuck her tongue out at him. She DID supposed the back and forth created some rather interesting thoughts on everything.

He then went on to clarify her question and what he gave did little to make Ise’s need to determine an answer any easier, she had effectively no information “Well I would want to know because it would be a bit harder to convince someone to blow up a planet that they are on.” Ise said before going back into thought humming to herself as she worked through a few ideas on how to accomplish it.

“Assuming I can’t just out speed them and physically force him to press the button I could try to first make them believe we are somewhere other than Arcose, then threaten him into doing it. Its a rather direct approach but it could work assuming they are aware that I CAN bring them harm which should not be particularly difficult to prove” Ise said with a shrug, she had a feeling though that Kayfor would change things up in some manner to negate the ‘easy way’.

Ise nodded along with what Kayfor said, it made sense after all, her Father did not generally destroy planets as far as she knew, they conquered them, took control so that they could expand the power of Arcose and theoretically sell the world off to someone else. Blowing up a planet just sort of seemed wasteful.

She frowned however as Kayfor clarified things further, the theoretical planet exploder was not someone she could overpower to force to do so, and by that logic likely could not be coerced with threats of violence either which vastly limited her options on those fronts. Perhaps she COULD still try that angle but she had to assume Kayfor would deny it.

“Well I mean I dont want to die, especially not to destroy Arcose. That would sorta be a waste?” Ise said with a frown “I don't really see any reason why I would want to blow up the planet if it also means I die” There were exceptionally few things Ise could think of that could even vaguely tempt her to do something like that, maybe a few scenarios where she could survive, Arcose was nice and all but not exactly necessary.

“Why would I even need that?” Ise asked wondering if Kayfor even had a reason or if it was just a ‘just because’ sort of thing.

“I GUESS I can understand the need to be more willing to open my mind to other ideas but I still do not see much point in a hypothetical that more or less can’t happen at all” Ise said with a long sigh as she took in her viewpoint of Kayfor working on the visor, it was quite fascinating even if she was missing much of the more fine work involved, he seemed now to be closing the device back up again which had Ise hopeful that it was also in working order.

Ise frowned once more not quite actually frustrated but more out of a need to think harder on the subject she was already not entirely fond of, how exactly WOULD she get someone she could not force to do something so extreme. He also now wanted her to pretend that HE was the person she needed to convince. If only she knew a bit more about Kayfor that particular addition to the mix might have been quite useful.

Theoretically she knew a bit about him, he had a family that he missed and a brother that she was fairly certain based off of him having said that he HAD a brother, was dead. Ise debated for a few moments on how good of an idea using THAT would be. She was not overly fond of the idea of using it against Kayfor, he was friendly and helpful to her after all. But he also HAD specifically made himself her ‘target’ maybe he WANTED her to use what little she knew of him?

“Arcose isn't really my home.. but maybe, I could claim that Arcose intends on destroying Plant, specifically starting with your Tribe? That the only way it could be stopped would be with the complete destruction of Arcose” Ise could not QUITE set herself to the task of phrasing it as if she WOULD do such a thing and so maintained a ‘would THIS work’ style of response.

It was surprising to have Kayfor praise her for attempting to use his family as leverage in their little thought experiment though it paired with what could certainly be interpreted as an admission that the tribe might already be dead. ‘Gone’ was a rather vague term though so perhaps they had simply relocated away from Plant? That implied they had a bit more sense than the general Saiyan population so Ise had hope that was the case. She also found it rather amusing that Kayfor appeared to have no care for the potential threat to Plant and even considered it a potential BENEFIT to the world.

Something Ise was not entirely sure he was wrong about either “I guess that actually makes a sort of sense, do you think a threat like that, something to the entire planet could alter the way the two sides act toward one another? Would they be able to work together or just still end up sniping at each other while another force just wipes them out?” Ise was rather curious what Kayfor had to think about that, he likely had a far better grasp on at the very least the Saiyan end of things, far better than SHE did at least.

While she posed her own question Ise returned to thought on how to handle the curveballs that Kayfor had thrown at her about the original problem, threats to his family were now off the board and without knowing Kayfor better threats to friends was effectively impossible as she had to assume that just saying ‘they will kill your friends’ in a vague manner would likely lead to ‘what friends’ or perhaps a claim of having none to kill.

Then however Ise was given inspiration from Kayfor’s admission of his main motivators, she had no real idea what she could use to scare Kayfor into doing the deed nor had anything to guilt him on. But Obligation she could work with.

“What if I told you my Father has ordered the destruction of Arcose?” Kayfor worked for her Father, presumably an order from him fit within the ‘obligation’ criteria though that was likely quite dependent on the exacts of whatever contract Kayfor had with him, by what she knew however it seemed like it COULD work.

Ise was… not ENTIRELY surprised by what Kayfor had to say on the likelihood of Saiyan / Tuffle cooperation, though it was probably just as likely that nobody REALLY had any idea what the two sides would do when faced with such a scenario, sure it was easy to assume that bitter enemies would never align but with both in danger of losing everything perhaps they might site aside their issues if only for a short time.

Though Kayfor’s beliefs on the nature of the war’s persistence did lend some potential to the concept that ANY cooperation between the two sides was perhaps impossible, it also seemed that Kayfor had a rather negative view of killing which was…

Ise was unsure what to think on that to be honest. She had not yet killed anyone herself, it was not something her Father had required and not something her fights had made necessary either, she was often more than strong enough to win without the need to kill and those she fought were also often useful to her Father in life.

But she knew her Father DID kill and that it was not particularly uncommon in their conquests, Kayfor certainly deemed it a negative in many ways but Ise could not quite comprehend WHY, it seemed like it made sense if the person you were fighting was trying to kill YOU.

Though in a way it imposed a greater challenge to NOT kill, especially at her level of power. Perhaps she would heed Kayfor’s sort-of warnings for now and continue to avoid it if possible.

She chose to remain quiet though, she had nothing particularly witty to say in response to what felt like genuinely emotional words from Kayfor and it was perhaps better to just make it clear she was really internalizing what he was saying by remaining silent.

To her surprise he followed it up with confirmation that her angle on the question that had lead to all of this was actually valid, that an order from her Father WOULD work for what he wanted from this she wondered if she really HAD outwitted him or if there was some secret intent behind all of this that she had not yet puzzled out. She DID repeat alongside Kayfor though made a show by rolling her eyes as she did so.

“Thank you Kayfor, I’m so glad you popped up. My Father is probably quite worried and I’m not exactly used to being so distinctly separated from him” Ise said feeling a bit embarrassed as she admitted as much but feeling Kayfor had more than earned an understanding of how grateful she was.
