Delia's PL: 20,000 Active Transformations: N/A | Items: Battle Armor It was another pretty quiet day in the village that Delia found herself resting in at the moment. While it was certainly quiet by no means, it was definitely far less noisy than the capital of the Saiyan's portion of the planet. The sun was nearing the horizon, many of the Saiyans and whoever else were packing up and getting ready to turn in for the night. Though the faux idol would soon follow suit and do the exact same, Delia decided it best to take a quick stroll around the village before doing that.
Things may have been relatively quiet right now, but sooner or later the Tuffles were bound to strike- right? And the last thing she had wanted was to end up waking up in the middle of the night and get told the small village was being attacked.
A light tune was hummed as she walked along a path, the young woman soon finding herself on the outskirts of Tarbel village. Her eyes remained peeled, her ears as open as ever- and of course, her Ki sensing abilities were being fully employed, as well. Nothing was going to get past her- even the smallest insect. She still had an hour or so before it was time to turn in, so Delia was going to keep up her patrolling until then.
"Things seem pretty calm today.." Delia thinks aloud, her eyes trailing up to the sky for the time being. "And hopefully it stays that way- at least until I leave."
Thread PL: 5,000 | Items: ScouterAfter flying around for an hour or so, Froma decided to touch down on a nearby village to rest and maybe get some of her questions answered. According to what little notes Freige had available, the location Froma was flying down towards was called Tarbel Village, a far more peaceful land in comparison to the capital as most of its inhabitants didn't nearly feel the same drive for combat as the ones in Sadala. Hopefully the locals here will be more willing to speak than the ones in Sadala. All they're looking for are fights to pick, and while Froma would normally oblige, she was on a mission and couldn't wast time sparring with the locals.
Froma touches the ground in the outskirts of the village and presses a single button on her scouter to check out the locals. Their power levels were quite impressive for being civilians, but there was one in particular that stood out to her: A power level of twenty thousand was close by. She turns her attention toward the individual, and from what she can tell, it was a saiyan woman, dressed up in green body armor and notably tailless. It was quite interesting seeing someone of much higher power around this village, but then again, the saiyans are currently engaged in war, so perhaps some powerful guards would be stationed here. Froma approaches the saiyan and presses a button on her scouter to record the following conversation.
"Hello there, saiyan," Froma greets, "Captain Froma of the OMG over on Planet Arcose. I was checking the area to see if I could get some information on the Saiyan-Tuffle War here. I would ask the ones over in the capital, but they're a bit stubborn about giving out any information in the slightest."
A light yawn left the young woman as she continued to wander around the outskirts of the village, trying to ensure she'd be able to rest peacefully for the night. She was getting ready to call it quits and head home at this point- but that was going to be put on hold, as an unfamiliar power was detected. Delia quickly turned towards the direction of the stranger as they approached, squinting at them in silence for a solid minute or so- even after they finished speaking, the young woman examining the stranger carefully for a few moments.
"I can't say I've ever seen anyone like you before- though, if you're from Arcose that'd explain it. I'unno who'd willfully go to that freezing planet." Delia rose a brow, finally speaking after some time had passed. "But- ah, you wanna know about the war, huh?" Delia brought a hand up to rub her chin some, thinking for a few moments after she spoke. "I guess I wouldn't mind telling you some stuff- but why would somebody from Arcose wanna learn about that? It's not like it's super interesting or anything like that.." The young woman clears her throat some. "Maybe you don't actually care-"
"Maybe you're a spy, hired by the Tuffles!" Her right foot slid forward after that. "You might've been able to fool some of the other Saiyans- but I'm smart enough to see through your façade! Surrender now, and maybe you'll get let off with a lighter punishment!"
The woman appeared to be quite tired from what Froma could tell. Perhaps it was nearing the end of her shift? Regardless, as the captain continued to approach the saiyan, the woman notes that she doesn't recognize Froma but guesses that being from Arcose makes sense while also noting its cold environment. "It is a rather cold planet, but you get used to it when you've lived there for years. It's actually my first time here on... Vegeta, was it? I know the other locals call it Plant, and most of your people call it Vegeta, but regardless, it's certainly unique compared to what we have on Arcose."
Once Froma asked about the ongoing war between the saiyans and the tuffles, the woman questions why the captain would be interested in such information. Froma opens up her mouth to further explain, but the woman then begins to accuse her of working for the tuffles and orders her to surrender. Is this really how saiyans normally act? Without moving an inch, Froma responds, "Like I already said, I'm a captain of the OMG, the Omega Military Group. Director Freige sent me here to learn about the current conflict and report it back for his archives. I have yet to meet a single tuffle on this planet." If this saiyan wasn't going to believe Froma's words, then she's in quite a bit of trouble. Her power level is significantly higher than the captain's, and then there's still the matter that they can turn into giant apes or channel their inner beast, or whatever Freige mentioned about them. She'll need to think of potential outs if things get ugly.
Delia had no real intention to ever visit a planet that was, from what she knew at least, freezing regardless of what time of the year it was on. Sure, it may have been warmer in some months than others, but would that even change anything? Even if she probably could handle it well enough, the young woman would be just fine if she never visited. "Cold.. blegh. I'd probably turn into a popsicle the moment I stepped off the ship.." She groans a little bit, before nodding a little bit. "Yeah. Vegeta- that's what the Saiyan part of the planet is called. Though, I've bumped into people who refer to it as Plant, as well. Guess it's just easier- at least until the Tuffles are kicked out." Nod.
Had Delia been jumping to conclusions with the accusation she had delivered? Probably. "Fine, fine." Delia said, relaxing just a little bit. "I don't even really care that much. As long as you don't do anything to mess with my sleep, like.. attack in the middle of the night, then you can do whatever." The young woman folds her arms over her chest, a light hum leaving her for a moment. Had she thought Froma was still potentially a spy? Maybe, but for now they were safe from getting punted. The young woman clears her throat a little bit, head tilting to the side. "Well! I guess I can try to help you out with learning about that stuff, but! We can do it while we walk. I'm just about done patrolling and stuff."
A slight wave of her hand was done, Delia proceeding to start walking along the outskirts of the village again after gesturing Froma to follow. "Is there anything you wanna know specifically?"
The saiyan woman comments on the fact that she would likely turn into a popsicle the moment she steps foot onto Arcose, and Froma couldn't help but make a comparison. "When I came here, it felt like I was being bombarded by the heat of the Broiling Moon again. I suppose I have that place to thank for adjusting me to such a different environment." The woman confirms that many call the planet Vegeta, but some also call it Plant and that it would be at least a bit easier to just refer to the planet as Plant for now. "Ah, I see," Froma comments as she looks around the mostly desolate area around her. It must be pretty boring patrolling this area considering all of the empty land with an occasional rock every now and then.
At the very least, the woman let her guard down around Froma so long as she doesn't disturb her sleep or attack the village, to which Froma would wave both of her hands in front of her. "Oh of course not. I'm just here to gather information, nothing more, nothing less." Thankfully, the woman seems willing to cooperate and talk to Froma about what she knows. The saiyan asks if there was anything specific going on, to which Froma mentions, "Yeah, I suppose I'll start with the big question. I've noticed that there haven't really been that many massive engagements between the two sides during my time here. Is something going on?"
"The Broiling Moon?" Delia raises a brow after Froma had said something about that. "What the heck is that?- Well.. judging from the name I can guess that it's a hot moon or something, but- where the heck is that? I've never heard of it or anything." Learning about the rest of the planets and other bodies that housed life out there was important- after all, if she didn't know about them, how was she going to get her name spread around!? Her arms were brought up, hands folding behind her head as she continued to observe the area surrounding the town.
"Right, right- if you're just here to gather info, then there's nothing to worry about." Delia stated, nodding her head a little bit. The question that was posed prompted a light hum from the young woman for a moment or two. "Yeah- something's going on. The Saiyans are working to take over the planet and kick the Tuffles out. Well.. I'unno if they're actually trying to kick them out. Just trying to take over the planet." A slight shrug follows. "This has been going on for a pretty long time, by this point.. though, things have definitely slowed down recently." Her brow raised again, eyes shifting from the outskirts of the village to the foreigner. "You came here without even knowing something as basic as that? Guess not many Saiyans or Tuffles would wanna go to Arcose though, so.. not too surprising!"
Froma supposes that the saiyan wouldn't really know that much about the broiling moon in the first place given its nature, though she does guess that it's incredibly hot judging from the name alone. "Well, it's certainly true that the moon has an incredibly high temperature, but it's more than just that. The moon actually used to be cold just like everything else on Arcose, but that's changed since a horde of corporations began settling on the surface. They really tore things up over there, and now the moon is basically melting from the inside. The more you know, huh?"
The saiyan woman then continues and talks about the general conflict between the saiyans and tuffles and how the saiyans are looking to take over the planet. She does add that kicking the tuffles out isn't necessarrily their primary goal, but rather just domination of the planet. The saiyan also states that things have been slowing down for quite some time now, which made the captain ponder for a moment. If the saiyans were really seeking to take over the entire planet and the tuffles of all people were the only ones in their way, then why was it taking so long for them to take them down? "From what I understand, saiyan biology has some major advantages over that of tuffle biology. I would expect the saiyans to wipe the floor, though that is clearly not the case. What exactly is it that the tuffles themselves have that the saiyans don't that allow them to basically enter a stalemate for the time being?" Was it truly the tuffle technology that was holding the saiyans back? She knew they were supposed to be smart, but if she could get her hands on some tuffle technology to present to Freige once she returns...
"Even the moons are cold over there? Yeesh.." Delia frowns a bit, feeling quite bad for those that lived over there. "Though- if it's 'cause of people moving there that changed the whole place, I guess nobody can be blamed except the people that moved there. That situation kinda reminds me of what happened here. I mean- I wasn't really around for the beginning of the Saiyans invading and trying to start trouble, but I heard Plant used to look way different than it does now. Would've loved to see how it used to look.." A hand came up, the young woman rubbing the back of her head a little. "Ah well! That's not possible, so it doesn't matter much."
Her eyes continued to shift around, even if things did seem to be relatively calm. The woman had come in contact with a few people who couldn't have their Ki sensed, so it was important to do more than just feel for incoming powers! "Well.. right now nothing's happening 'cause the leaders on both sides are dead." She says, nodding slightly after. "The Tuffles aren't really too strong, so.. if there's something that's keeping them alive instead of getting swatted into space, I'd guess it'd be the fact that they're a lot smarter than most of the Saiyans. They created that stupid gas stuff that wiped out a whole bunch of Saiyans super quickly. Though- I don't think they really use it anymore.." Her voice trailed off at the end there. "Even so! I still think some of the Saiyans are a little scared of the possibility that the Tuffles could use it again and wipe out everyone, so they're careful-ish. I'd recommend asking a Tuffle about that, though."
The saiyan woman compares the situation over on the Broiling Moon to that of what's been happening here on Plant, what with the war ravaging the landscape and whatnot. Now that she was pointing it out, Froma took a quick look around the nearby landscape, noting that it seems mostly desolate at this point. The planet certainly must've looked a lot better before the war, but why would the saiyans want the planet now in its current condition? Is it really because they have nowhere else to go? "Unfortunately. There might be a photo or two at least of what Plant used to look like back in the archives on Arcose. I suppose if we are still making comparisons, Director Freige is seeking to improve the current conditions on Arcose, plus I'm even friends with an arcosian who had recently decided to live in the wilderness."
According to the saiyan, the leaders of both warring factions are currently dead, which was rather big news for Froma. With both sides without leaders, no wonder the war had slowed down to a near halt. "Well, I suppose that explains the slow pace currently." As the saiyan continues on about the fact that the tuffles are still around likely due to their intelligence, there was one thing she said that stood out to Froma: The tuffles developed some sort of deadly gas. She claims the tuffles stopped using it, but the saiyans are still hesitant to press the attack since they might still have it. Perhaps if she could get a sample from a tuffle scientist and give it to Director Freige, he could probably find some use for it. "Well, that was the plan originally," Froma states, "I was going to check out what the tuffles had to say at some point."
"Oh yeah! I never thought about pictures and stuff.." Delia says, a hand moved up to rub that back of her head. Though, she doubted any of the Saiyans had access to pictures like that. From what she could tell at least, nobody actually cared that much- Delia just found herself liking random things like that. "Improving the conditions on Arcose? You mean, like.. fixing the temperature and stuff? 'Cause if they can make it warmer, then maybe I'll end up actually visiting at some point." She nods slightly. "Until then though, I'm definitely not going there anytime soon!" Very sad indeed.
"But- yeah! I think some of the Saiyans are kinda wary about attacking- or at least, I would be. You could even go to the place where all that stuff happened, if you really want. It's kinda creepy though so.. I definitely wouldn't go alone, unless you're not scared of spooky stuff, I guess!" Delia grins a little bit, walking in circles a little bit. "I'm sure if you asked one of the Saiyans that actually cared more about that stuff you'd probably learn more, but that's all I've got, really. But I've seen the Tuffles do some pretty neat things with technology- without it though, I don't think anyone would have much trouble dealing with them at all. Heck, even Earth people could probably mop the floor with them!"
A few blinks are done, the circling coming to a halt- for now, at least. "Y'know.. I've kinda been wondering a little." Delia rose a brow, attention landing on the red-skinned alien not long after. "Are you actually from Arcose? I mean- like.. originally? I've heard Arcosians look like giant lizards- and you definitely don't look like one of those."
The saiyan makes a comment regarding what Froma said in regards to 'fixing up Arcose,' making a little jab at the fact that it's cold. She states that she might even come over and visit if they fix the temperature, to which Froma immediately responds, "Yeah, I wouldn't exactly get your hopes up. The arcosians really like the cold over in the capital, and I don't expect them to change that anytime soon. You get used to it after a while, but when I first went over there, I thought I would just turn into an ice cube the moment I was exposed to the air. Anyway, what I meant when was improving the quality of life on Arcose, such as improving infrastructure, providing wild sanctuaries, and raising people out of poverty. You know, just making Arcose better overall."
Unfortunately for Froma, it appears as if the woman wasn't too knowledgeable on the specifics of the war herself, but at least she is able to point the captain in the right direction. Perhaps if Froma kept digging around in the capital she would find someone more willing to talk to, but then again, the spot that the woman mentioned did catch her eye. She doubts many would be living in such an area, but surely they would be knowledgeable on the matter considering how close they live by the frontlines. "Perhaps I should be asking them. It would be nice to get to know information from not only royalty, but also civilians, guards, you know? Get a mix of views on the matter. I am rather curious as to what the tuffles have to say, however."
The saiyan then asks a question that Froma admirably wasn't prepared to answer right away, that being whether or not she originally came from Arcose. With a small sigh, Froma responds, "I've lived there for a long part of my life, but no, I wasn't from Arcose originally. I originally came from Planet Brench, hence me being a Brenchian. I suppose we never were really clever with our names. I moved at a rather young age and spent the rest of my childhood there. It wasn't.. entirely pleasant," she comments as she rubs the scar on her lips, "but I eventually ended up as captain of the OMG, so I suppose it turned out fine in the end."
A finger snap is done, alongside a huff from the young woman as she was told to not get her hopes up. "Darn- guess I wont be performing there anytime soon, then. Oh well! Maybe I can get a super warm jacket and try my luck at some point, at least." Delia nods her head a little bit. She hadn't even performed anywhere yet, so she shouldn't really have been as picky as she really was. Hopefully that'd change soon, though. "Oooh, that's what you meant.. that makes more sense. Dunno why I thought people would try to change the whole temperature of a planet.." Her voice died out there for a moment, before springing back up. "Still! That's kinda cool, I guess. Hopefully when I do visit I'll get a chance to see the place after it's improved."
"Asking others about information like that wouldn't hurt." Delia nods her head a little bit. "If you're gonna ask the Tuffles- just make sure you don't get too close to any of them! Don't wanna end up beating you to a pulp if you end up being swayed to their side or anything like that." Would she do such a thing? Probably- though, she probably wouldn't mess anyone up too bad unless they just seemed like an all around terrible person. Froma didn't seem that bad, thankfully.
Though Delia had managed to gather that Froma hadn't actually been from Arcose originally by what they said prior, they did clear some things up which was nice. "Planet Brench, huh? Think this is my first time meeting somebody from there. What's it like there? Is it nicer than Arcose, at least?" Delia inquired with a raised brow. It was to find more potential places to put on shows and the like, surely. ".. and yeah! I guess growing up in a pretty harsh place like Arcose would help make somebody tougher in the end. I guess that's why there's a bunch of tough Saiyans."
Froma was rather confused at the fact that the saiyan might've planned on performing over on Acose, but what exactly did she mean by that? "Perform?" Froma asks out of sheer curiosity, "What do you even do for a performance? I would think that most of the saiyans here would have their minds on the war going on." At the very least, the woman is still thinking about taking a look at Arcose, albeit once Director Freige is done improving the quality of life over there. "I assure you that Director Freige will not rest until Arcose is at its absolute best, no matter the cost. He does get his fair share of political opponents every now and then, but that's a job that I'm taking care of myself so that Freige doesn't have to worry about it."
The saiyan warns Froma to not get too close with the tuffles or else she might beat the captain up. Judging from the tone, it might've been a mere jest, but she can't be too careless with such words being spoken. "Well like I said earlier," Froma repeats, "I'm merely here to see what's going on. I have no intentions on dedicating myself to either side in this war. The prosperity of Arcose matters more than Plant, if I'm going to be completely honest. Dragging Freige into the affairs of one side or the other on a completely different planet would not be in his best interests."
As expected, the stranger asks if Planet Brench was any nicer than Arcose, and Froma lets out a quite little giggle before replying, "Oh, far better in terms of its environment. Hey, perhaps you could perform there at some point. My people are probably a bit more... receptive in comparison to Arcose's people, not to brag." The saiyan also comments on how growing up on Arcose would make someone quite strong similar to the saiyans themselves, and all Froma had in response was a simple nod. The planet wasn't exactly pleasant, but she realizes she wouldn't be nearly as powerful as she currently is had it not been for her time there, so in a weird way, Froma is rather thankful.
A question that she should've been expecting popped up, the young woman taking a few moments to think on a good enough answer. Had she actually had some other talent aside from fighting, such a question would be rather easy to answer- but she had yet to actually do any sort of performance, truth be told. A few potential locations had been visited to so far, but no place was willing to host the young woman. Truly, it was pretty tragic. "Well- y'know.. typical idol stuff. Dance, sing, uh.. tricks. Stuff like that!" Delia nods her head a few times. Did she actually know how to sing or dance? Probably not. "Ahh- but still! Once I do feel brave enough to take a trip to Arcose, maybe I'll do a little thing there. You can come watch, if you're around when I show up there!"
Even if Froma insisted that they weren't going to end up getting involved in the war much, Delia was still a little bit suspicious. Though, she wasn't aware of any outside people jumping into the help the Tuffles, so her suspicions were probably unwarranted. "Right, right. I'll take your word for it. You seem like an okay-ish person anyway, so guess there's not much of a reason to doubt you!" The young woman nods some more, grinning as per usual. It was kinda creepy how much she did that, really. "Oh, and if you have any other questions- feel free to ask. I can probably answer, like.. one more."
Though she hadn't really known much about Arcose or Brench, if what she had heard from Froma thus far was correct, Brench was definitely the much safer bet to perform on. "Yeah! I'll probably end up visiting Brench someday as well! Probably once I get more famous and stuff. Until then, though.. I've got a few places in mind to perform at first. Like- here!" She just had to actually convince somebody to give her a shot, of course. "Oh- I know! Will you put in a good word for me when I'm ready to go there?" Delia asked, leaning in a little bit- probably too close, actually. "I could even give you some merchandise to help build the hype!"
