Erebos fell into his bed, sighing contentedly. What a nice place this was! This Saiyagirl, whatever that meant, was a gracious host. Hotel suites catered to each persons needs, and free food daily! Talk about luxury!
Though, as he inspected his lodgings, he realized that he himself was not much a fan of mystery movies, so the myriad posters on the wall made little sense. And the free food was from a fast food restaurant, left in a bag near the fridge and littered with grease stains. To top it all off, his key didn’t work, and he had to phase through the door to get into his room. A curious conundrum.
Someone fiddled with the door, and it was then that Erebos understood. This wasn’t his room at all! Standing up quickly, he dusted himself off and presented a very formal looking stance, but quickly looked behind him in panic. The Oni-shaped indent in the bedding would surely give away his leisurely thievery!
Thinking on his feet, he snapped his fingers, summoning a grotesque shadowy beast in the center of the room. It had twenty-six eyes, four arms, and a drooling maw littered with teeth. With a nod of satisfaction, Erebos sunk into the floor just as the door opened, and heard a terrified scream soon after.
It wasn’t like the guy was gonna die! The shadow beast would rough him up for like, twelve seconds before dispelling itself. What was life without a little spice now and again?
Walking the halls of the tower, Erebos suddenly remembered his very important date. He was supposed to meet his voidling friend for training! They’d set it up for before the first match, but Erebos was such a busy guy (sleeping) that he missed the first round entirely!
Regardless, there was still time to make up for the wasted effort. Entering one of the myriad training rooms on the floor he happened to be on, he sent out a mental projection of the exact path Ftagn would need to take to get here, with an attached smiling cartoon face of Erebos playfully pointing toward the training room. He wasn’t sure the little Voidling had a mind in the traditional sense, but surely he would be able to link up with something resembling consciousness and show it where to go.
Erebos himself waited in the room, trading his usual black armor for a casual powder-blue gi. Its sleeves and pants were a dull gray, and the sigil of the martial arts school emblazoned on its chest was an amorphous, shifting blob of black shadow. It decided on the shape of the symbol 闇.
He sat in a meditative stance above a large floor mat, floating silently as he awaited Ftagn.
