Soundtrack

The moment Maxsuz had gotten out of the way of Yakito's blitzing offense, the Earthling crashed against the tile floor with great violence. His elbow and knee sunk deep into the patting below the stage, and sunk the tiles around him with his momentum. The former fox took the couple of seconds Maxsuz was stuck flabbergasted to get his body out of the ground. After a few cracks of his neck, the Armored Squadron hero was ready to resume his attack.

This time, the Argin raised his guard and prepared for the rampage about to come his way. Yakito soon closed the gap between them with a fast sprint, and launched a high speed flurry of strikes at the disguised alkaguírio. This time, Maxsuz had to make quite the effort to contend with such ferocity. HE grabbed a hold of his sheathed alkálipe once more assumed a very defensive posture. He was forced to use both the black scabbard and the dákron arms to help him block the dozens of fists coming his way.

The sheer pace of that exchange sent shockwaves across the arena. The two fighters zoomed across each corner at blinding speeds, almost impossible to keep up with by normal spectators. The white swordsman eventually had enough of being pressure, and summoned an after image of himself, while he leapt over the human.

After some spinning in the air, the Argin would land on the other side of the arena and turn around to face Yakito once more. His expression was that of someone perplexed, yet tired. His heavy breath could not be hidden any longer. The disguised alkaguírio washed the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand, and rested his left hand on the grip of his sheathed Túlibre. There was nothing to be said at that moment, he just kept on staring at his opponent with a serious and exhausted visage.

The simple fact that Hollowl had to use each and every single tool at his disposal to weather the absolute storm that his assault was meant that Yakito was on the right track to finally land a blow on that bastard. "RAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" Letting all of his pent-up aggression loose in the sublimity of this raw exchange of blows, the squadmate's began to punch harder, faster. So much so, in fact, that the arena found itself a theater for translucent shockwaves buffeting the crowd and rapidly-shifting silhouettes that only keen fighters were capable of tracking.

A fist boring through the intangible gut of a fading afterimage was the last move wrapping up this ferocious waltz. Once more, the alkaguírio eluded harm. Yakito's gaze followed the opponent shrouded in a spectral drake who leapt overhead, landing a few paces away with the wear of exhaustion shimmering across his skin. The earthling, too, found himself with plenty of pearlescent beads wreathing his figure. They evaporated into an ephemeral mist thanks to the heat constantly radiated by his bloody aura.

In this moment of recovery and intense expressions traded between two stalwart warriors, Yakito couldn't help but laugh. He placed his hands over his hips, then regarded his esteemed adversary with a wink. "Amongst all my opponents, you gotta be THE ONE who proved the hardest to pin down, Hollowl. The only one who comes close to you in terms of defense amongst the many martial artists whomst I've faced during my living is Jackie, the Guardian of Earth. You, good sir, are slippery like an eel — it's an oily fish, just in case you're not familiar with this term." This was the kind of courtesy that Yakito would have never granted to a detestable being like Maxsuz, but he still had no clues about the subterfuge despite the few hints thrown his way. Indeed, the evidence was tenuous AT BEST. In his mind, all that Yakito had before him was what the Renegade could have potentially become if he had chosen a humbler path in life.

Both warriors had finally reached their first breaking point. Thankfully to the shapeshifted himônus, Yakito had also become exhausted due to their last exchange. The 2 fighters were staring at each other from each side of the area, catching their breath, dripping sweat.

The former fox was the first one to speak, praising the Argin once more for his peerless agility and speed. The human claimed the only warrior even remotely close to Hollowl in his movements was the Guardian of Earth, Jackie. The Maestro found that observation funny, given his recent spar with the redhead in preparation for the tournament.

"He he, I witnessed that speed of hers myself in a training session, a couple of days ago." - Yakito likened his "slippery" maneuvers as that of an eel and, even though the swordsman knew what they were, he chose to faint ignorance. - "Oh, an oily fish? Ha ha, I suppose I can spot the connection."

Even if he laughed a little to his opponents, internally, Maxsuz had grown tired of that fight already. He never could have expected the little fox he brutalized back in the Crystal Casino to have grown so much in such a short period of time, to the point he could minimally rival his level. It infuriated the alkaguírio to no end to think whatever bio-engineering Yakito had submitted himself to had gotten him this far. It felt like cheating to the disguised himônus, and it only increased his disgust towards the Earthling before him.

"Very well, Mr. Yakito. Your skill in combat has forced my hand. Now, I shall bestow upon you the swift sting of my blade." - he slowly unsheathed Túlibre from the scabbard and held it low by his left leg. - "You would do best to surrender now, before things get... Ugly. I'm already aware Earthlings cannot regenerate like an alkaguírio. A wound from my alkálipe could last a very long time, if not be permanent."

The disguised Maxsuz chuckled, then spun his okatana around him in a display of dexterity. After a couple of seconds, he pointed the blade to the Armored Squadron member.

"But I imagine just warning you of the issuing danger will not be enough to quell your 'human spirit'."

What a happy coincidence! The Argin, too, had recently sparred with Jackie. Yakito did not comment on that, but he still thought that it made sense given the Kami’s proclivity to teach those who meant-well. Hollowl’s impeccable behavior put him within that realm of potentials partners, or so Yakito erroneously thought.

The alkaguírio drawing out the Túlibre okatana came with a mutually-understood concept that the fight could result in grievous injuries from now on; Hollowl's words all but confirmed it. Despite the gravity behind this statement, Yakito did not seem to be deterred with how his eyes were still sparking with tangible eagerness. The squadmate's answer wasn't given right away, but he didn't seem to have the complexion of someone grappling with a conundrum either.

No, the correct decision was clear-cut to the earthling: This fight was one he'd continue until exhaustion or anything similar made him unable to provide a substantial challenge. "No, I cannot regenerate. When I registered for this competition, though, I knew that the use of weapons was allowed. Non-fighters kill each other with punches during disagreements by accident, Hollowl; the probability for injury or worse is something I account for and accept. Now, will you show me what a knight of Seratus can do with his fangs fully bared?"

Yakito stomped on the edge of a tile, the fulcrum formed by his bare sole launching the alabaster material in the air. With a swift chop, he cut it in two isometric pieces that he swiftly grabbed with each hand. He twirled in place, fingers digging into the concrete while stockpiling rotational momentum that he utilized for an impromptu throw of these improvised projectiles at his opponent. The attack was meant not as an actual threat to Hollowl but rather as an example supporting the squadmate’s following statement. "At our level, our hands and feet also become swords. Our whole body are tools capable of sundering worlds; that weapon you’re holding is merely an extension of it."

Yakito's aura began to swell once more; a sustained gust of displaced air swept the arena as his eyes became pools of baleful red light.

The blonde Armored Squadron hero wasn't intimidated by Hollowl's black okatana, much like he expected. After all, a warrior of that level surely would have battled against many armed individuals before, not to mention the absolute brutality that Maxsuz had unleashed upon him in their first encounter. Indeed, just a sword would never be enough to intimidate Yakito out of a fight like that.

The Argin felt a mixture of irritation and amusement about it. While on one hand, it meant he could torture the Earthling a little longer. In fact, Yakito invited him to show him all the might of an alkaguírio knight with his alkálipe. Yakito then threw a loose alabaster tile in the air, cut in multiple pieces with his bare hand, and launched the separated shards at the disguised himônus like projectiles.

Maxsuz made little effort to swing his blade in exact movements to deflect all those flying stones away from him. However, that was not the point of that interaction. The human wanted to drive home the fact their entire bodies were lethal weapons, not just the sword or the ray gun each wielded.

It was then that his aura began to densify once more, and Yakito's eyes shifted to bright red. He was preparing for his next offensive. The Argin could not help but laugh. Pretending to be someone else, he could more easily admit he was having some fun, even while facing that pathetic excuse of a warrior.

"Very well, Mr. Yakito. It is time for our act 2. Prepare yourself!"

The white alkaguírio assumed a more aggressive stance with his alkálipe and stared down the blonde Earthling. In what felt like an instant, the himônus would disappear from view, only to reform behind the Armored Squadron member. In a single diagonal upwards swing, the Maestro would attempt to slice his opponent in half.

Yakito broke a sweat. His body began to tremble. Was it fear gripping his whole body at the sight of his opponent vanishing out of thin air after announcing the second chapter of their clash? No. The tremors shaking Yakito's being to its very core were signs of his excitement. Never in his life did he have the privilege of facing such a fearsome being like Hollowl, so the prospect of him finally taking this fight seriously...

It was pure, unadulterated bliss.

The Argin imposter's blade found purchase in Yakito's skin. Yet, there was something strange; the earthling had made no discernible efforts to dodge him. Instead, he just allowed the weapon's edge to bite into the fabric of his unitard before constricting his muscles with an arduous flex, effectively turning what should have been a death sentence into a meager paper cut that barely went past his epidermis. In fact, Yakito's flesh snapped taunt around the encroaching metal, trapping it into an unexpected vice.

"My turn!" Provided that the alkaguírio struggled to pull out his blade, he would have felt all of that force working against him coming undone as the squadmate allowed his body to grow lax. Whether or not the Argin fell for this trick and found his footing compromised, a blitzing fast roundhouse kick followed by a two-handed upward smash utilizing the momentum of this wide sweeping arc would have been thrown at his face.

Subsiding —or fading away in the case of his eyes— signs of his enhanced state indicated that Yakito was learning how to quickly flicker in and out from this technique. A greater opponent urged him to display more inventiveness, lest he'd end up sliced like a fox salami!

Unlike what Hollowl had imagined, his okatana actually found its target and hit Yakito on his back. However, even more shocking, the blade actually got stuck in between the human's toned muscles, instead of cutting right through his body. The Maestro could not help himself, but let his emotions out a that ludicrous display of bodily mastery.

"WHAT?"

Before the disguised himônus could set his sword free, the Earthling shouted his intention to attack next. Suddenly, the muscle grip on Yakito's grip was released, though it did not get Maxsuz to lose his balance like expected. Still, a powerful roundhouse kick came his way at an almost blinding speed, which only allowed the Argin to block with Túlibre in a diagonal angle. The idea was for Yakito's leg to be cut clean off with his momentum or at least redirect it upwards while leaving a massive gash on its way.

Then, came a two-handed upwards smash, but Maxsuz was faster in his reaction this time. He would step on the human's clenched fists and use their own momentum to launch him into the air. Then, without shouting the name of the technique again, the light alkaguírio would come back down with his alkálipe aiming towards his opponent's skull. Regardless of if it landed or not, Túlibre would released another luminous quânion to blast what remained of Yakito away.

In hindsight, Yakito got carried away with his exuberance when he announced his attack with a shout. What could have potentially been some blows striking true was telegraphed further to an opponent with lightning-quick reflexes. Unsurprisingly, Hollowl deftly negated the roundhouse kick with a block from his alkálipe. The blade was presented against the flesh of his leg, aiming to bisect it by turning its momentum against it. Normally, it would have worked, but Yakito was beyond human... he was a superhuman! Indeed, the fibrous muscles of his limbs became sturdy like katchin when springing into action, turning lethal cleaves into pinprick cuts. Only a few drops of Yakito's blood graced Túlibre's onyx surface.

Taking a page from the squadmate's blow, Maxsuz utilized the incoming wrecking ball formed by Yakito's fists to launch himself in the air. The upward motion was turned into a trampoline, a place from where the Argin rebounded to prepare his next attack. The earthling stared up at the looming shadow originating from his opponent's silhouette, realizing what was about to transpire if he didn't dodge that deadly strike aimed at his cranium.

In the nick of time, Yakito rolled away, eluding death yet again. This wasn't enough, though, for Túlibre edge sank below the arena's surface, its partially-embedded shape serving as a catalyst from which energy spread out like a wildfire. The quânion moved too fast for Yakito to possibly react given he was still in the midst of dodging, so he was sent barrelling across the alabaster tiles with his body stopping by a hair from the arena's edge.

He had almost been knocked out of bounds.

With a retch, he spat out some blood. For a moment, Yakito caught a glimpse of his own reflection in the small puddle; he was battered and slightly bloodied, which was unacceptable given his opponent's pristine condition.

His fists balled up in anger.

Yakito's aura undulated like the waves of a tsunami, starting out small before widening. His eyes narrowed in focus, their surface now becoming beacons of red malice. He charged back into the fray with an explosion of shrapnels, his body becoming a threatening blur. With a fist reeled back, he closed the gap between him and his opponent in a second. A mock punch aimed at Hollowl's gut ensued, an astute feint abruptly aborted with a blink. Yakito reappeared behind the alkaguírio with a leg held up high, bringing it down against his shoulder with an absolutely vicious ax kick. "ONE!!!!" Another supernaturally fast movement that appeared as outright teleportation to those who witnessed it; he showed up before his opponent to drive a palm in his solar plexus to create a repelling sonic boom. "TWOOOOOOOOO!"

Soundtrack

Yakito's muscles felt more like solid metal than actual living tissue, as his leg clashed against Túlibre's edge at full force, yet barely any blood was spilled. The light alkaguírio was once again shocked at that astounding display of durability and control of the body. Still, his strategy remained the same, as he used the upwards two-handed strike coming his way to propel him upwards, only to come back down with vigor.

The blonde Armored Squadron hero dodge out of the way at the last possible second and avoided being impaled on the head, but the resulting quânion caught him by surprise. The former fox was bashed by the luminous wave of árula yet again. This time, the kinetic energy was enough to almost knock him out of the stage entirely, winning Maxsuz the match right there. Though, he managed to prevent himself from falling off at the final opportunity.

The damage was starting to add up for the Earthling. Blood was spat and painted the alabaster tiles of their battlefield significantly in red for the first time. His body showed signs of battering and bruises all over, and his árula reading wavered. Despite his predicament, Yakito manifested anger and motivation, instead of any preoccupation with his well-being.

The human warrior's red aura became wilder by the second, his eyes locked-in on the disguised Maxsuz once more. The Maestro barely had time to raise his guard again, and the Earthling had already closed the gap between them in a light speed sprint. A powerful punch was aimed at his chest, which the himônus fully intended on countering with his alkálipe. However, at the last instant, Yakito vanished from sight at such as velocity even the swordsman had trouble keeping up with it.

Before he could even react, Hollowl felt a sharp pain on his left shoulder, bones shattering, which dropped him to one knee. Then, on the following moment, the blonde human reappeared before the light alkaguírio and drove his palm into his solar plexus. Maxsuz felt all the air escape his lungs, as well as some punctured internal organs. He spat some blood himself, his body being rocketed towards the outer barrier of the protection dome.

One of the Maestro's eyes was even closed as he barreled towards the blue barrier, from the amount of pain he was feeling. Yet, the utter outrage for having being hit and even damaged by that disgusting and worthless Earthling was even greater than his suffering. The Argin stopped his trajectory with a thunderous kiai shout of wrath and, without a second thought, zipped back to Yakito tried to slash one of his arms clean off with a ryuko laced cut.

Their bout turned into quite the bloody affair with gore being shed and bones broken, or at least that last part was true on Maxsuz's end given how Yakito felt a shoulder blade crumble like cookies under his kick-delivering leg. The palm thrust, too, found its mark; it was likely that it had caused some internal damage to the alkaguírio.

Blood was spat on his face, but the Squadmate did not blink; his razor-sharp focus made him ready to provide first aid or press the attack depending on what the aftermath of the situation called for. His opponent dealt with the damage quite spectacularly and was still very much willing to fight; his kiai of rage halting him in his flying trajectory made that much obvious and undeniable. Then, Maxsuz blitzed Yakito down with his sword wreathed in deadly ki.

The squadmate's heartbeat accelerated and the entirety of his senses became amplified to the point where the perceived world around him was slowed down to a dreadful crawl. The crowd was frozen in place and drops of sweat slowly flew around him as he steadied himself to block by crossing his arms together. Thin slits for pupils widened, reflecting the incoming blade that still came for his skin at a problematic speed despite the sensorial advantage Yakito benefited from.

When reality was kickstarted back to its ordinary pace, it was too late for the squadmate to harden his muscular tissues; the blade sank into both arms, its course only halted by the presence of sturdy bones that still fractured under the pressure. With wobbly legs, Yakito stumbled backward, the ryuko-enhanced sword slipping out from the nasty gash with a soaked squelch that announced a true shower of crimson ichor.

"FRRRRRIIIIIIIAAAAAAAACK!" The earthling flailed around, holding his arms against his stomach in an attempt to deal with the searing pain that rocked his androgynous body. Yakito shot Hollowl a disdainful leer, then looked down at his mutilated arms with a scoff. "That?" The crimson of his aura was sucked back into his body, mending his wounds with a cauterizing sizzle that made him bite onto the lower plump of his lip to the point where bloody droplets were drawn. "THAT WAS FUUUUUH N-NOTHING!" The way he thrashed indicated that this was just a tough boy facade. Slowly, he unfurled his arms that were now blemished with horrible scar tissue.

"I am outmatched..." He humbly admitted, giving his opponent the courtesy of a simple nod. "...but surrendering is for cowards." The earthling fighter adopted a textbook high guard boxing stance. "The final chapter to our waltz commences."

Yakito proceeded by unsheathing his blaster to shot his himônus rival that was probably as tired as him with a shower of crimson spheres taking the form of a swirling stream.

Soundtrack

Maxsuz placed a significant amount of his full power behind that upwards slash from his alkálipe. His intention was to utterly maim his adversary by cutting one his limbs off. However, the blonde human hardened his body and crossed his arms, creating enough resistance to stop the onyx blade at his now broke bones. The Argin was in complete disbelief at what he was seeing. The sheer level of durability the former fox possessed was enough to put his own to shame, not counting his intense regeneration factor, let alone any other fighter in the Universe.

Exploiting the Maestro's shock, the Earthling stumbled backwards and out of the grasp of Túlibre, his blood splattering all around them like 2 crimson fountains coming out of his forearms. The crowd gasped collectively at the extent of the damage, some of the spectators began calling for the match to end prematurely to prevent further wounds.

Hollowl was breathing heavily after that exchange. He was sure that attack of his would have secured him victory immediately, yet his opponent still stood tall, defiant. Even though the human screeched in pain, as his blooded painted the arena red. Despite that, Yakito shouted to the heavens that was nothing.

From what looked like his own aura, the Earthling stitched up and cauterized the gaping wounds on his arms, leaving out scar tissue in their place. He admitted to be outmatched, but even still would not surrender. That was for cowards, so he said, and their final act would commence next. Meanwhile the Argin pressed his okatana against the ground like a crutch, and remained silent, staring his enemy down with vitriol now apparent on his eyes. How dared that worthless being hurt him, then refuse to lay down and die? It was a personal affront to his superiority, one Yakito expressed himself was true, even if he didn't know Maxsuz' true identity.

"Yes, let us finish this..."

Even if he wanted to just put that androgynous freak down for good now, he had spent too much árula in their previous exchange for him to land a decisive hit. He needed to pace himself for a while, until enough of his power had returned to blast that mockery of life into Oblivion. The Maestro just had to make sure it looked like an accident, and not an accidental kill. His rage was starting to take a toll on his sanity, as that was ultimately very risky for his disguise.

Soundtrack

As Hollowl was lost in thought, the former fox quick drew his blaster again and fired a barrage of red pellets at him. The white alkaguírio was too exhausted to evade them this time. The energy projectiles hit him all over his body, burning his clothing and the skin below, before the regeneration brought those damaged regions back to normal. Regardless, the stopping power was enough to bring the Argin down to one knee again, trying to endure the pain and wrath building up to unbearable levels.

Once that red salvo was over, Maxsuz remained still for a couple of seconds, his head hanging forward, as if he had been knocked out in that position. Soon enough, the entire arena chamber began to tremble, and an aura of sweat and steam formed around the alkaguírio. The himônus suddenly punched the alabaster tiles below him with so much force the entire stage cracked, and then stood back up.

His pupils had narrowed down to their minimal width, as only the human was still visible in his field of view. The irises in his eyes flashed light and dark red, he grit his teeth against each other with almost enough strength to break them.

"YAKITOOOOOOO!!!" - the kiai that came out of him was so powerful it destabilized the protection dome itself for a moment.

A dense white aura around the swordsman exploded forth, and at the very next second, he was already before the blonde Earthling. The two would begin a full power and speed exchange of blows, fists vs blade, teleporting from each edge of the arena to the others, and even using the blue energy dome as walls to fight in.

The hate exuded by the Argin's stare was tangible. If Yakito had known this himonûs better, he would have probably thought that this swordsman had a personal vendetta against him with how he leered daggers straight through his soul. The polite, considerate persona that the squadmate knew his opponent for was starting to waver. Was it just the alkaguírio's hubris manifesting itself after being damaged for the first time or was there more to this rage than what Hollowl let on?

It was almost surreal to see all that wrathful spite manifesting itself from the Argin after his clothes and skin were subjugated to the bite of Yakito's ray gun that he quickly stashed to safety with a flourish. "What a fucking nutjob..." He silently thought, staring in disbelief as his rival sank deeper and deeper into his angry emotions that seemingly took control of his body. Yes, Maxsuz found the strength in him despite his winded state to litter the whole stage with fissures after a single punch aimed at it. His aura, too, was a foreboding sign; a menacing mist conjured by his hate that hung around him like a dreadful cloak.

Yakito returned his foe's countenance, allowing the vestigial zoan genes to take over. He growled like a beast, fingers curling toward his opponent with onyx-painted nails at the ready, poised to shred through the enemy's dark complexion until it became nothing more than unrecognizable, bloodied ribbons.

Unlike the alkaguírio who rang the proverbial gong to the last round of their match with a quake-inducing shout that spread around the arena like a wildfire, Yakito remained silent. Yet, he charged with aggression mirroring his foe's detestation, ramming into him like a missile. The impact was such that both fighters were repelled from each other with a shockwave.

This explosion of force was but the first of many; both foes fought like feral beasts, trading blows and skipping around at the speed of sound with shrill zapping noises. The likes of katchin-reinforced knuckles met with the finest metal that Seratus had to offer. Soon, Yakito's fists became crimson with a constellation of hairline cuts decorating their surface. In an attempt to get an advantage over Maxsuz while they were both sprinting upside down on the energetic dome's ceiling, the fox tightened his fist in a one-inch punch sending splatters of blood toward the Argin's hateful eyes. Quickly, the androgynous blondie grabbed onto the other contestant's collar, using it as a anchor point from which he hurled the opponent toward the shattered rubbles that used to be the arena's floor.

He followed in the Argin's potential fall, bare soles pointing downward like a misericorde dagger with the objective of pulverizing his opponent's spine by embedding both heels where the lumbar vertebrae were connected.

Soundtrack

Just as Maxsuz remembered from their first battle, Yakito became more feral, animalistic, unhinged, and met his offense in the middle of the arena with a thunderous clash. After bouncing back from each other, the warriors met each other on the battlefield with violence and brutality. They moved through all corners of the stage, all angles of the energy protection dome. Every one of their strikes had the intention to maim, or even kill their opponent, yet were met with equally ferocious defenses and counter measures.

That was until, in an ingenious technique, the human sprayed the blood from his own bruised and cut hand at the himônus frenzied eyes. Though it did not cause any damage to him, it annoyed the light alkaguírio for him to lose focus on the battle, just enough for Yakito to grab a hold of his collar. Hollowl was hurled towards the ground like a meteor, while the Earthling followed his pathway to smash him against the ground on collision.

However, at the last possible moment before hitting the ruined alabaster stage, the Argin shouted, and his entire body along with the alkálipe dissipated into bright dust before the Armored Squadron hero's eyes. The androgynous human would most likely sink his legs into the ground, while the Maestro's self reformed a few meters to the side, already in a sprinting motion.

Maxsuz would dash into a flying kick aimed directly at the former fox's temple. Not done with that, he would grappled Yakito's neck while still passing by him, and pivot into a chokehold from behind. Considering the size difference, if the Earthling wasn't already out of the ground, he would be hoisted into the air be left hanging from his neck.

"Give it up. You cannot defeat me!"

Even if the himônus' regenerating prowess were out of this world, having his vertebrae dislocated would probably spell certain doom given the timeframe of absolute pummeling it would create for Yakito to capitalize on. Instead of this, the earthling found himself knees-deep beneath the arena's floor thanks to some kind of teleportation technique employed by the alkaguírio. Yakito's might had effectively been used against him, for he was now entombed in a pit that forced him to use sluggish wriggling movements to escape.

The time lost was crucial; this was a game where every single inch won by one of the parties amounted to a catastrophic amount of damage taken by the loser. Yakito tasted his comeuppance in the form of a vicious dropkick that struck him straight on the temple. Maybe the thick musculature of his neck is what prevented him from being beheaded, but even a musclebound supersoldier had parts of his body he simply couldn't train: Like the brain, for example. Yakito's cerebrum was jostled against the walls of his craniums.

Suddenly, he began to see stars and feel the warmth of his blood pouring out from his nose; before he had the time to collapse from the brain injury-induced stumbling, he was hoisted off the floor. His windpipe grew tight, and his chest even tighter.

Hollowl was in the process of choking him.

His vision was blurry and his tongue was hanging limply from his mouth.

If he didn't do something about it soon, he'd lose the fight or even worse...

The question was: Which failure would hurt the alkaguírio's pride the most? Failing to kill his opponent or losing to him. After all, if the chokehold didn't work he could always try again a few seconds later...

What a conundrum! The fox did what he does best: Outfoxing like the sly little bastard he was. On top of his ring out tactic, he pulled out his ray gun in the midst of flying to charge a massive crimson sphere crackling with sparks pointed right at the alkaguírio's face.

Yes, any means to divide the foe's attention were justifiable at this point.

Soundtrack

Maxsuz' tactics worked to a T, as the trapped human was easy pickings for his bone cracking strike to the head. Once the disguised himônus hoisted his adversary off the ground to choke him out, it seemed to most spectators that the battle was over. Even Yakito's tongue was hanging from his mouth as struggle to breath in any air.

In a desperate maneuver, the androgynous warrior arched his body forward and activated a gravitation disc on his back. The device rocketed on the direction of Hollowl, causing him to lose balance. He tried to dig his feet on the ground and slow both them down, but it was to no used. He knew that if nothing was done immediately, he would be thrown off the stage and eliminated. However, he also had to contend with the blonde Earthling pulling out his ray gun yet again and aiming at his face.

The light alkaguírio quickly pulled himself to the ground, along with Yakito, then curled and placed both his boots on his opponent's back. With a full power push, he would hurl the human fighter into the air , trying to make him bounce off the energy dome. Immediately rolling back up with his momentum, the Argin unsheathed his okatana once again and launched it spinning like a giant throwing knife at Yakito. His target was the Earthling's shoulder, pinning him down against the energy dome, as if it was a painting on the wall.

"Stop resisting, or you will end up dead!"

Still motivated by his rage, the disguised himônus would begin punching the air with so much force compressed gas bullets were fired at Yakito's thorax and abdomen in a relentless barrage.
