Somethin’ wicked’s rolled into Tarbel Town. It'd been whispered enough that word had started to reach all the way back to the capital, murmurings said in establishments such as The Brawl Hole during a late night. The Saiyans who live here are laxer folk than them in the big city, but tough nonetheless, which makes this problem enough that somethin’ needs to be done about it! And Vicori Papramelosum intended to be the one who gets to the bottom of it!
“You’re a weird kid. But sure,” An older Saiyan—but still in that long stretch between his prime and geriatrics—said to her from over his fence. He had the sort of tired eyes and plenty enough scars that evoked the work of a soldier. Vicori still smiled back agreeably because, yes, the gangly half-Saiyan was sorta weird. She didn’t presently have the care to hide as much either, her tail swaying gently behind her. The town was, frankly, much nicer than the Radditsu district which was filled with a lot more people with much shorter tempers. “Been calling it the Saibatooth Tiger, wretched thing’s been chewing about damn everything.”
“Tiger…?” The young woman asked with a raised brow, striped tail swishing until it curled halfway around her hip. The Saiyan pinched the air between his fingers with a gesture as if he was trying to pull the words out of his head for a moment.
“Like a… big ugly feline. Point being it’s a pain in the butt nobody’s got the time to deal with. You wanna take a crack at it, go right ahead,” He assured her, clearly not very invested in what the Heryan decided to do with herself while she was in town.
“Shoot, mister, I’ll do better than that! Little rascal’s gonna be history, you bet money on that!” Vicori was quick to promise, punctuating herself with a hearty laugh. He didn’t laugh back. Turning tail the opposite way, she left to start her investigation, only just beginning to consider how she was going to catch the saibabeast. The sun had started to set, casting gloom enough over the town that its residents took to turning in for the evening and the monster ought to feel safe enough to start roaming about. Catching a glimpse of the thing was supposedly a chore in itself, and though Vicori was a large cut above most of the saiba family that grew from the region’s arid dirt, she wondered if the thing wouldn’t just scamper off at the sight of her. If only she had someone to help her corner the beast…
