No matter what Derry said to Kon, she wasn't backing down on her little lies. He finds this little act quite admirable as she's sticking to her guns so closely, but it was starting to get on his nerves. Had she been lying this entire time to one of the other snakes, he might've let this go, but doing so in front of Derry's face was another matter. "I know you lie, Kon," Derry states, "You've been lying for most of the time that I've been here. You've picked a poor hill to die on, so how about you admit the truth. This majin isn't your sparring partner, and you didn't come here with the sole reason of a training regime."
It was at that point that he thought he heard someone mutter the words 'Dirty Snakes.' Derry remembers that they weren't the only ones here as blueberry was sticking around. Damnit, now Kon just went about blurting out the Dirty Snakes name in front of some random civilian and she's aware of both of their identities. He could probably talk his way out of this, but it's going to have to take quite a bit of convincing in order to do so. "It's a little club we're a part of," Derry lies as he waves his hand at the blue majin, "no need to get worked up about it, Blueberry."
As Derry was attempting to smoke his cigarette, Kon walks up to him and slaps it out of his hand. He's a bit disappointed with how Kon's behaving, but isn't too bothered by what she did. He points his finger at the cigarette and shoots a thin stream of pink flames, disintegrating it instantly. He stares back into Kon and stands completely still, unwilling to budge even when the blueberry comes over to try and break up the two. "It's alright, Blueberry," Derry mutters now that the three of them were so close to each other, "she's just havin' a bit of a hissy fit. If it really means the world to you kid, then by all means enjoy it. Letting me of all people sour your little experience is just petty. Come on, relax a bit, hang out with good ol' Blueberry, eh?"
