Onwards to Helion (Maxsuz/Inv)

Outside of her bursts of power, Jackie's drive and knowledge in fighting were what kept her with a sharp edge against threats to her home. She wore that sense of pride on her sleeve, smiling as she ripped a stream of fire towards the equally nimble partner in Hollowl. Her eyes would follow where his afterimage would disconnect with his energy, her arms pulling back from that gout of flame. Back into fists she held up at a ready medium-high while watching. His comments, if they were actually fighting a typical spar, would be a nice send off to a great show of skill between the two. Something just felt off when he asked such a bold question like that.

A supposed opponent during the tournament, wanting to know her close to the chest moves? Any of her tricks and game changers? Outside her shown competence, it came across as trying to gain some upper hand on her later on. The kami shook her head, a fist undoing itself to wag a finger up at her off-world guest.

"Now, Mister Hollowl. I'm hopin' you don't take me as naïve. Sparring here out of respect for both our Arts is one thing, but I'm not so overzealous as to give away all my favorite hints and tricks! I doubt you'd open up in the same way even if I did, and that'd just put me at the disadvantage during our fight!"
She didn't have any supernatural sense to sus out his true motives, or who he really was, but she was coincidently dancing around showing off too much for a stranger. Given the time to stand and talk, she anticipated he wasn't done with their little spar just yet. She pulled that wagging finger back into its fist and tightens it, flaring that orange aura again. This time her already bulked up muscles tensing while her radiant, violent ki got set aflame again.

She was close to the chest with revealing her hand, yet the Argin persisted in that pursuit to see her more powerful moves. To finish off their spar with a 'bang', words she'd probably use herself in a more casual setting. The kami chuckles to herself as she keeps her ground, sliding a foot back into the ground to keep surefooted while her energy burned around her. If he wanted a bit of a show and taste of what she can actually throw down with, maybe it was alright to show just the one technique. It's not like she hadn't been seen with it before.

"Is that a promise then? I'll show ya in that case, just don't go cheapening out when it comes to showing your own, got it?"
She playfully approached this, lighting both of her hands on fire as a sudden surge in power flows from her. The burning ki surrounding her throws winds around this dry empty fiel as the pressure she let off was admirable for a human, if a bit tame still by galactic standards. Open palms, that fire slide over her hands and starts to form balls of light and flame. Growing as she bent at the knees to ready herself. Putting the hands together wrist to wrist with the balls of energy converging, a sweeping few streaks of plasm start to expand and flow out of their contact. Like tiny sun in the palm of her hands, she kept her open clawed hands pointed at her disguised sparring partner.

"We were taught to emulate the stars in more ways than one. This? This is a Flare! Ya ready!?"
As that power grew to a climax, the light her hands produced started whiting out the background that stood between them. It wasn't the technique that took the longest setup, but it was an equivalent beam attack that contemporaries would be used to. Him being ready or not, Jackie was going to give him a solid showing. A sudden eruption of light and fire bounces from her palms, arcing like its namesake as pure ki energy, twisted by fiery compassion and Jackie's own drive. It was perhaps quicker than the man was anticipating, leaving behind a bit of scorched earth on its way towards him as he was preparing his own technique.

"Show me what ya got!"

Jackie was not expecting him to just take it, full force. At her strength it would leave him gravely wounded, if not outright burnt to a crisp! Her momentary worry doesn't hold on for too long, as the smoke hiding the impact zone didn't take away from the energy she still felt surging within. The appearance of a man's face melted and slowly reassembling itself was disturbing more than impressive. An alien feat where she had to remember who this stranger was for a moment.

"What."
She spoke softly to herself, the lingering fire around her hands disappearing as she spent her energy laying into him with that one blast. A hefty breathing and weary arms are what left her in this momentary fatigue, the very life energy she used for that attack needing time to recover. All the while the disguised light-sided alien showed Jackie his own trump card. Unlike the vacuum slicing air cuts he did before, this tornado of cutting energy was far too massive to bat away with grit or her own blast, if she had one. The only thing she could do is grit her teeth hard and pull her arms up in front of her face to protect it.

Like a million little cuts and lashes, the tornado would blow over the kami and start ripping into her. Cuts appear at an alarming rate, tearing straight into flesh and leaving in its wake possibly hundreds of small cuts across her arms, torso, back, legs. Some locks of orange hair come off in chunks, giving her a couple scissor-like chops as a new haircut. It didn't mess with her overall look, but she was out of this bad as she just had to wait out the worst of this swarm. When it died down and passed her, that's when the weight of her body really felt significant.

Jackie crumples, downed to a knee as her arms lower in a mess of cuts that. A very human reaction to being put into a blender as she winces and groans at the pain more than actual damage this caused. Not to be downplayed, after all, but this was like so many really bad papercuts.

"No kidding! Ahhh... You got me!"
She admits, putting a hand on her own bleeding arm and soon covering it with a warm, orange glow. Unlike the violent energy she was putting off earlier, Jackie here was putting instead something more medicinal to the soul onto her body. Some of those cuts would stop bleeding, slow their bleeding, and small ones even begin closing up as she took to stand again. "I believe that's a win for you. What a technique!"
Her other hand outstretched towards him. The disguised knight would feel that same warmth start washing over his body just like hers, should he stand still and accept it.

"Just something to ease our wounds after battle. I'm not just a fighter after all."

"Huh! Two peas in a pod, as they say."
Jackie was a lot of things, hopefully a lot of good things she's been honing for the sake of her friends and family. The show of healing and tending sparring wounds was returned in kind with a sort of similar light-based ki. Perhaps more holistically bright and literal than her blend of fire and light as you would have it in the stars, it still felt better around her body. Refortifying that strength she had lost, if marginally. The fighting style was pretty similar to the ronin of Earth, they way Max described his techniques.

"It helps, the stars are both destruction and creation after all."
She'd made comment on her ability to heal, only further amplified by the teachings of Kamis before her and what she could remember of that. When offered, she'd return the firm shake while gathering herself, that tired smirk not fading even as she would have to replace her clothes later. A bit of magic would do that trick, too. "I think you'll find a lot of our practitioners enjoy that mark of skill, even if they don't hold the same candle I do to match that strength. Still, it's a tradition we hold dear. Usually hold tournament every few years to celebrate but the recent attacks have been putting all of that on hold."
The kami eventually took to sitting on burnt ground underneath her, a tired sigh escaping her lips while she pulled her legs into a crossed meditative stance.

"What am I gonna do? Well, with that result, it just means I've got some work ahead of me. If I'm gonna even stand a chance with the largest at that Tournament. Imagine if you came all this way out there's probably some other faces I recognize there from around the worlds. Despite our... current Laws making that hard, they still find time to fly out and participate. And you?"
As she gathered her breath, she stared up at the disguised alien, curious where he went off when he wasn't instigating spars.

"Hmm."
She listened to his word and consideration with about as much interest as she could while resting off a nasty wound like this. Something that'd make her sore for maybe a couple of days, if she managed to use her techniques on these cuts. it was nice to know at least one culture respect the human's grit and skill as a whole, despite what they might lack in that strength. Played straight, this would have been a good bit of insight for her to hear. It did give her some hope that her efforts weren't for nothing, that humans weren't behind for a lack of trying.

"Of course, Hollowl. Enjoy your stay on Earth. I'll be seeing ya when that time comes. I'm just gonna be here for a moment, doing much the same really."
She offered a deep nod in place of bowing properly while on the ground just as the alien left her. She was in no serious threat of really bleeding out here, but she'd probably have to take it easy when she got back to the tribe. If she planned to stay any period past a good lunch. If anything, she had to go hard training her spirit more than her technique. Judging by the effort it took out of Jackie to just deal with one fellow warrior, she needed to compensate harder.

Jackie was a bit stubborn though. Headstrong where she needed to be, she'd be alright. Picking herself up after a few minutes of rest she'd zoom on back to the Karinga. She didn't really suspect a thing here. The Kami was much more used to the obvious threats.
