"Military hardware." Gelus sneered from his personal quarters as his ship approached the star port in Kuriza City.
"How very quaint." Gelus would not have told his misgivings to his father. The man did not take kindly to insubordination... nor failure. That being the case, he would have to see this mission through to the end, regardless of his own thoughts. It helped that his father promised to end his exile to Earth should he actually succeed in obtaining this shiny government contract. If there was one thing Gelus could do, it was negotiate. Especially among the upper class, who the Arcosian businessman viewed as people worth negotiating with.
"Mr. Gelus, sir. We have landed in Kuriza City. You may disembark at your leisure." An Earthling entered the room, giving this information to his boss with a slight bow. Waving off the ship's captain, Gelus stood from his plush armchair, walking past his liquor bar and silently regarding the half empty bottle of scotch. However, he decided against partaking right now. Meeting with the emperor while reeking of booze likely wouldn't serve his purposes that well.
As he stepped off of the ship, Gelus breathed in the freezing cold air of Arcose. It felt like home. Even in Earth's coldest regions, the chill could not hold a candle to Arcose. Slipping on his golden scouter, Gelus hit a button on the side, causing it to spring to life.
"Call the Regal Citadel." At this voice command, his scouter began to contact the palace.
"Gelus. I'm with Arcose Ice Services. Here to meet with the emperor. Let him know I am on my way... and that i'm very much looking forward to meeting him." Cutting the connection, he began his saunter to the palace itself.
