Lottus rolls his eyes with exasperation.

"Just shut up and FIRE IT!!" the Saiyan snarls. "Stop stroking your ego already!!"

And at last, Maxsuz's attack reaches the apex of its charge. And it was about damn time!! As Maxsuz's mouth opens, Lottus grins.

"FINALLY!!" he shouts - and the world flashes bright all around him. But the Saiyan thrusts his hand forth, catching the part of the wall of dark energy threatening to envelop him! While the rest of the area burned under the blast, Lottus was thrown to the ground, slamming his feet down as he still held against the attack!!

But he was not invincible - the blast eventually presses past his hands, across his arms, and swallowing him in its power. The battle jacket Lottus had been wearing is seared away, along with patches of his body glove pants. Lottus disappears in the flash...

The world around them steamed and crackled with burned foliage and melted stone, and Lottus, it seemed, was nowhere. After a moment, though, an arm bursts through a wall of melted and re-hardened rock, and Lottus steps back into view. Severe burns and lacerations cover his already considerably scarred body, and the Saiyan coughs twice before looking back at Maxsuz.

"...Not bad... but definitely not... the most painful I've dealt with." and indeed, he'd gone through far more significant injuries. If anything, this felt about the same as when he decided to take Gira's attack at her full power - the damage to his body seemed to be about the same. It hurt like a BASTARD - but he'd been in worse shape many times; lending to his high tolerance for pain. Lottus wipes blood from his brow and left eye, and leers up at Maxsuz. "What a dumb attack. Powerful, definitely - but you're wide open the entire time. You're lucky to be facing only me - or that charge up time would get you killed."

Lottus starts walking towards the zombified dragon. He winces, and looks down at his arm - most of the skin had been blackened and burned away, exposing the muscle beneath.

"Hnnnngh... Annoying... I'd hoped to keep that Death energy..." he mutters to himself. At it was, his body was damaged to the point that fighting would be very difficult. He sighs, and smirks up at Maxsuz. "I was hoping to keep this secret - a surprise for the Earthlings the next time I decided to pay that planet a visit. But, I suppose I'll need to do this now."

Lottus straightens his posture, arms spanning wide. Lottus' eyes snap wide, and the whites of his eyes turn black, his veins popping up against his skin like a million tiny pulsing rivers. The lacerations weeping blood, the third and second degree burns, the bruising, all of it - vanishes. Lottus pats his chest, his eyes returning to normal, and he grins at Maxsuz.

"Regeneration is a cute trick," Lottus sneers. "You do it, Gandigan did it, that bloke who spoiled my fun on Namek does it - and now I can do it. My conditions for accomplishing it are a bit... different, but here we are."

Lottus floats up into the air, settling into a combat stance. His regeneration ability was still imperfect - he could still feel some residual damage to his body; perhaps a cracked rib hadn't fully healed.

"Let's keep playing!" Lottus cackles, and rockets towards Maxsuz, attempting to grab the dragon by the neck and slam them both into and across several mountain tops!

Lottus' Sustained Defense clashes against Maxsuz's Irradiar!!

Soundtrack

There was little that resembled the original Saffron Plains once the dust and rubble began to settle. In its place laid a burnt and scorched wasteland of molten rock and ashes falling from the sky that stretched for kilometers in every direction. The super saiyajin was nowhere in sight and, for a moment, the zombie dákron truly believed he had been vaporized by the blast. It did not take long for Lottus' incredible árula to make itself felt, though, somewhere beneath the earth. The fiend used his enhanced vision to spot the world destroyer buried by dirt and rock, but still alive.

If the giant skeleton could physically do so, he would have a wide grin plastered on his face at that time. He slowly walked towards the energy signature, each of his steps making the burning ground beneath tremble with his weight. Soon enough, a hand emerged from the molten rock, and the golden warrior raised from his grave. His head was bleeding, his right skin in most areas had been scorched beyond recovery, his clothes turned to shreds. Despite the extents of the damage on his body, the monkey still had the gall to diminish the amount of pain he was feeling to the transformed himônus, as well as call his attack "stupid".

"I charged it to this extent on purpose to make a point. I can fire it immediately if I feel like it. You should know by now I'm no fool."

The saiyajin approached the Maestro, then finally realized the amount of damage he had received was far greater than he had initially thought. That forced him to reveal something quite special, which he called Death Energy. Indeed, the Argin used the frequency of death from árula as it was, but to think a non-himônus could access the same kind of power... He needed to see that in action. Lottus opened his arms wide, the escleras on his eyes turned black, and all veins on his body popped and pulsated with and ominous árula.

Soundtrack

In only a couple of seconds, most of the damage he had received from the Irradiar had been reduced to nothing, and he soon returned to his normal self, smiling at the dákron. He explained that now even he had access to some level of regeneration, if under different circumstances. Though, he probably expected Maxsuz to recoil in fear of worry upon witnessing it, on the contrary, he could not be more excited.

"Simply fascinating! You, Lottus, truly are worthy of my time and attention. I had felt something else manifesting itself upon my attack, but this exceeded even my wildest expectations. So someone taught you a few tricks about the arulal frequency of death while you were in Hell, huh? I can summon that kind of power from my own dark soul, yet you channeled it from the death of other beings instead. Quite ingenious. I should look into that application of my abilities in the future too." - the winged giant laughed out loud for a moment. - "Very well, you got me. Now I'm on the backfoot of this exchange. Will you be able to finish the job or will I bring you back down to the same sorry state you were a couple of seconds ago? Let's find out!"

The super saiyajin soon dashed towards the Maestro aiming for his neck. However, the fiend ducked the tackle attempt and tried to slam him on the other side with his tail. No matter the result, the colossus would spin around and breath black fire at the world destroyer, followed by a barrage of claw strikes to keep him busy.

As Lottus shot past Maxsuz, the Saiyan rotates in the air, bringing his arms up defensively as the tail lashes against him. The blow sends Lottus to the ground, but he lands on his feet, cracking the ground underneath at the impact!

The dragon went on the offensive, turning its great head and gaping its maw wide to unleash a stream of dark flames at the Super Saiyan. Rather than avoid it, Lottus grins and allows himself to be swallowed into the flames - but as the flames end and Maxsuz flies towards Lottus with claws at the ready, Lottus would be revealed to have been unharmed by the dark blaze somehow!!

When Max's claws come down, Lottus sneers and raises his hands - the first swipe slams down, cracking the ground under Lottus' feet even more; the second swipe take's Lottus off his feet - but the Saiyan cackles, seemingly unharmed by the blows!

He allows himself to be flung at a nearby mountainside, cratering the rock face and sending a plume of dust and debris into the air.

"Hnnnn keheheheh! I'm starting to hit my stride." Lottus remarks, shrugging stones and dirt off his body. "I think I can afford to make a few mistakes on purpose at this point. I have a handle on the strongest your attack can get - and I'm willing to bet that your attack then was your current apex."

The golden aura bursts to life around the Super Saiyan, and his malicious cerulean eyes gaze over the decaying dragon contemplatively. A wide grin spreads across his face.

"You always ask so many damned questions? That supposed to throw your enemies off or something? Feh!" Lottus reaches up to his neck, tilting his head and causing it to audibly pop several times. "That sorry state I was in is normal for me; as it SHOULD be in a proper battle. But people like you and those Namekians suck all the fun out of a good fight by regenerating every bit of damage to your flesh. You should learn to savor that pain instead, keheheh! Though, it was interesting to see what it was like, feeling my flesh regrow like that, HA!!"

Lottus half turns, and raises his right hand. His fingers splay wide, and his palm begins to flash.

"Maybe I don't feel like finishing the job yet - I want to enjoy myself." he declares. "What fun is there in finishing off an opponent quickly? I want to see how well I can push my enemies - I want them to pull out everything they have!!"

Without further warning, a massive beam of crimson and black energy erupts from Lottus' outstretched palm, and races towards Maxsuz!!

Soundtrack

Maxsuz' tail swing struck through against the super saiyajin, but it felt more like he had allowed himself to get hit. The world destroyer crashed against the ground, but appeared unharmed by either impact. Then came the dark flames from the dákron, which consumed Lottus' body entirely for several seconds. Still, when the fire dissipated, the golden warrior remained standing unfazed.

Not letting up his offense, the zombie fiend attacked with claw strikes. The first one was blocked, sinking the monkey deeper in the earth, but the second lunged him into a mountainside. Yet, he persisted unharmed even then, cackling back at the transformed Argin. Before the dust settled, he had already stood back up and shrugged off the debris from his tattered armor.

The super saiyajin claimed he could allow himself to make some mistakes now that he was fully aware of his opponent's capabilities. Because he already knew the strongest an attack from the Maestro could get, he could fight more careless. He wondered if Maxsuz' constant talking was an attempt at distracting his enemies, to which the dákron replied promptly.

"You could say that. But, perhaps, I also enjoy hearing the sound of my own voice, he he he"

Both the warriors seemed to be having a blast with that battle. The longer the fighting was going, the more casual their bickering was becoming, as if the two were reaching of an understanding of each other.

"Indeed, regeneration can be pretty fun. It means I can fight with all my might and brutality, without the fear of ending up wounded or incapacitated. Soon you'll learn to appreciate it as well."

Before more could be said, the golden saiyajin stretched his palm out and charged an attack at the Argin. Lottus had no intention of ending their battle just yet, but the transformed himônus laughed at that notion in response.

"Well then, try me!"

Soundtrack

The next moment, a torrent of black and red árula flew violently towards Maxsuz. He had no intention to get hit by it this time. The dákron suddenly jumped so fast, an after image was left in his place. The colossus then spread his wings and levitated dozens of meters into the sky. The Argin cackled in the air, much like his adversary was doing earlier, and slowly descended back to his original position, as the flash of the dark beam exploding in the distance obfuscated the saiyajin's vision.

In what felt like a picosecond, the dákron had already closed the distance between the two warriors, his great claws covered by a sharp layer of black árula, which make them look like swords made from the Void. In a single motion, the fiend swiped upwards with all its talons, aiming for Lottus' torso.

Regardless of the result of his offense, the winged giant would dash backwards just as quickly as he approached the world destroyer, dragging his paws against the charred earth to slow down his momentum.

"In time, you will realize that I am the one in control here. I was only hit by your Obliteration Cannon, because it was my whim to survive it and show off my power to you. No matter how strong and mighty you think you are, I'll say this bluntly: you CANNOT hit me. You're simply not fast enough to do so... And I'm a very big target, as you can see, so there is little excuse." - he chuckled with malice and arrogance at his own mockery.

At Maxsuz's taunting, Lottus throws his head back in a cackle, even as the dragon came rushing at the Saiyan with claws extended and ready! Lottus throws his hands up, catching two of the talons and preventing them from splitting his abdomen and chest. The sheer force of it still launches Lottus, with him falling back down and being smashed into the ground, cratering it around him! It winded Lottus for a moment, and blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. Lottus licks the blood back into his mouth, and grins up at Maxsuz - he had spared himself from being impaled, but the blow had still been heavy.

"Ohhhh, don't be like that. Avoiding my attacks now? But I thought your regeneration was SO good, right?" Lottus' cerulean eyes glint with amusement and malice. "Or... ohhhh I see... there's a limit, isn't there? Keheheheh!! Yes, your regeneration is limited! Just like those Namekians!!"

Lottus suddenly vanishes from under Maxsuz's claws, reappearing in the air some ten yards away from the Dragon's face.

"It eats up your energy reserves to keep doing it, doesn't it? Small wounds, only a bit - but that other amount of regeneration? No, that comes with a nice little energy tax..." Lottus guesses at. "Yeah... You think I'm the type to swing for the fences to prove that I can hit you. Use my strongest attacks, so you can just rinse and repeat the same tactic of dodge and retaliate."

Lottus again cackles loudly, slapping his hand against his chest with mirth.

"You're making the same mistakes that Gandigan made with me. The same mistakes Yangcong made with me. I'm a warrior, the longer we fight, the faster I learn." Lottus' aura begins to burn around him. "You're hoping for a nice little game of cat and mouse, but I've never been one to play along to someone else's tune. I know your strategy; I've seen it before. And now you've got a new problem. If you start charging that blast, I can hit you again, and this time, it just might be enough to take you down, so you'd have to over rely on your regeneration, or you'd have to fire your attack early. And now I know that you're trying to bait me into using stronger attacks, so you can rely on dodging and clawing your way to an eventual victory. GAHAHAHAHAAAA!!"

Lottus throws his head back, his mane of wild golden hair shaking with each guffaw.

"It's not that I can't hit you - you can't afford for me to hit you. Your regeneration is too demanding on your energy; you'll falter quickly if you allow yourself to be damaged and heal again so many times. I can't see any damage on you - but now I know it's still there." Lottus says venomously. "So let's be MEN. Drop the dragon form, and I'll drop the Super Saiyan form. I hold the advantage in this fight no matter how you look at it, and you know it too. So, let's fight as warriors instead of monsters, and reserve our energy in case the Nova's do decide to stick their noses in our business."

Lottus grins.

"Or, we can keep up the visual hilarity of a gigantic rotting dragon fleeing from every attack I make. I'm fine with that scenario too - it's hilarious! HA!!" Lottus again cackles, his interest in the fight changing from immediate kill-mode, to visible enjoyment. Lottus' expression changes suddenly to one of deadly seriousness. "But if you ever admit to regeneration being the only reason to not FEAR injury or incapacitation again, I'll vaporize you the first chance I get. If you're a warrior, then those prospects should ALREADY be something you don't fear. No Warrior fears injury or death - that is as much a part of a Warrior as is inflicting death and victory. Cower away from pain and injury, and you'll always live in fear."

Soundtrack

Maxsuz' claw strike was met by the super saiyajin's guard, as he grabbed a hold of 2 of the great talons before they tore him apart. However, the force of the blow itself was enough to violently slam the world destroyer's back into the ground, his body forming a new crater on the charred earth. Air escaped from his lungs, blood dripped from the corner of his mouth, yet Lottus continued to smile defiantly at the dákron pinning him down.

Despite the seemingly precarious position he found himself in, the golden warrior replied the previous taunt with one his own, calling the Argin out on the limits of his regeneration. In a blitz, the saiyajin vanished from view, letting Maxsuz' claws sink into the stone, and reappeared floating a couple of meters away.

Soundtrack

Not done yet, Lottus continued to reason how the Maestro's abilities worked, in an blatant attempt to mock him. He claimed to have figured out his opponent strategy of counter-attacking, the supposed same mistake that Maxsuz' former master, Gandigan, as well as Yangcong, had made before him. A game of cat and mouse, so he said. The longer the fight lasted, the quicker her would learn the Argin's secrets.

The Argin just stayed silent and allowed the super saiyajin to continue his tirade uninterrupted. He was convinced Maxsuz' strategy was to charge another Irradiar blast to finish him off, but that he would never allow that to happen again. To him, it was not a case of not being to hit the alkaguírio, but simply that the dákron could not allow himself to be hit any longer. All that dramatic speech with pauses for maniacal laughter in between. At last, it was time for the Maestro to retort.

Soundtrack

"Aw, would you look at that? The little monkey does have minimal reasoning skill, after all." - he chuckled. - "Indeed, much like the namekuseijins, my regeneration is entirely reliant on my energy reserves. That is just an obvious assessment. I never claimed to be immortal, and for you to think that is any kind of big revelation on your end is just embarrassing. I also know that your own regeneration was a one time deal. There is no more things to be killed, no more death árula to be absorbed. Next time I wound you, it will stay there."

The giant fiend spread his wings wide and ascended slowly to meet Lottus in the air.

Soundtrack

"What I said was no vain taunt. It was a statement of fact. You may be slightly stronger than myself when it comes to pure energy output, but I'm still faster, smarter, more precise in my movements. I've also seen enough of your abilities to know as a certainty you simply cannot defeat me. Even if you think you know which strategy I'm going for, the facts of the situation do not change.

There is no mistake being made, no overconfidence. You should have come to realize already I mean serious business here. Regardless of if you think I'm trying to bait you or not, what you choose to do from here is irrelevant for the ultimate outcome of this battle. Sure, I cannot afford to get hit by you ad infinitum, but that matters little when I can just not get hit by you ever again."

Lottus had made Maxsuz a proposal, of sorts. The both of them could drop out of their ultimate forms and finish their fight in base so they could preserve their energy in case any of the Novas showed up. He shrugged it off, though, with little to no interest in the prospect.

"You talk of fighting like 'men', yet you're scared of a little Nova interfering? You know, you have to try being more subtle about your fears in the future. It makes you look so fragile." - Lottus' threat regarding being afraid of death and pain only make the Argin cackle himself. - "My existence is suffering, you mumbling imbecil. You think piercing my heart and transforming into this doesn't hurt? You think being vaporized to the bones didn't? I know pain and death better than anyone. Every time I turn into and back from this form, I die again. There is no fear, no hesitation, only self-preservation. Something you understand little of.

However, since you wish to fight me in my himônus form so much, I can work something out for you..."

The dark fiend suddenly ripped the red gem on his chest and, in a scream of pain, exploded into a colossal sphere of onyx flames. Soon the fire was absorbed into the Argin, having returned to his regular state. Though, his power had not diminished whatsoever. Instead, the flames formed a sort of ghastly avatar of his dákron form around him.

"There we go. Now we can 'fight like men', without making this bout less interesting. I intend to battle until you break, Lottus..." - a wide grin of pure malice appeared on his visage, as he scratched his chin. - "And I know just the way to do it. Tell me, monkey. Tell me: does the name Jagaimo mean anything to you?"

Maxsuz' glared at the super saiyajin with so much sadism it was almost palpable. Any crack, no matter how minimal and miniscule, would be perceived immediately by the alkaguírio, who had decades of experience as a bounty hunter.

Lottus had been largely amused by Maxsuz's attempts at cracking his pride - but verbal jousting was never going to be enough to deal that kind of blow to Lottus. There were a number of fun things he could say in response to the jeering, but that final comment completely changed the game.

In an instant, the very INSTANT Maxzus spoke Jagaimo's name, the wicked grin on Lottus' face evaporated. He straightens his posture, and the golden flames of his aura flicker. He had started to enjoy the fight up until now; but that utterance immediately brought back a violent surge of hate and fury blazing back to life in his chest. But on the surface, Lottus' expression was... oddly contemplative.

Did Maxsuz know Jagaimo was with him on Konats? Did he know about her pregnancy? Did he have his foul Mazoku or whatever they were called, closing in on her? The very idea of it makes Lottus' hands clench into tighter fists, and he tucks his chin down, keeping his cerulean eyes locked on his foe.

"...That was a mistake." Lottus says in a low, venomous tone. "Now, I know for a certainty, that you MUST die."

The veins in Lottus' torso, neck, and arms begin to pop up, and the Saiyan spreads his feet apart, crouching as his power seemingly begins to skyrocket again! The ground under his feet cracks like a spider's web, and stones begin to pull themselves free of the ground, levitating nearby the Saiyan. The golden aura changes, overtaken by a crimson and black miasma that swirls like a vortex around the Saiyan.

Lottus emits an animalistic snarl, and lunges towards Maxsuz, attempting to clothesline Maxsuz!!

Description: When Lottus utilizes his Wrathful State, other Transformation, or technique utilizing the word Wrath/Wrathful in the name is active, Lottus' terrifying aura gives the impression of almost twice the power he truly possesses, making him appear far more dangerous and intimidating to behold.

Note: Lottus' PL does NOT actually change - it tricks Ki Sensing users into feeling vastly more power than is actually there. Scouter users are unaffected, as this ability is a sensation, not a true power boost. Additionally, skillful, or much more powerful enemies cannot be tricked by this ability.

Utility Technique || Wrathful Aura
Description: When Wrathful State (transformation), Transformation, or technique utilizing the word Wrath/Wrathful in the name is active, Lottus focuses the corrupting power onto his foe, trying to frenzy them with the same bloodlust that he experiences trying to control or make them go berserk with rage.

Requirements: First and foremost, this ability affects other players' characters negatively - therefore, in order for them to be afflicted with Berserk the player being affected must give express permission that their character can be affected. Secondly, Lottus can only use Wrathful Aura when using a transformation that includes Wrathful in the name. And thirdly, the ONLY way Wrathful Aura can affect a target is through physical contact. Melee attacks made by Lottus, and against Lottus only. Ki Blast techniques (that do not involve physically touching Lottus) are not subject to the Wrathful Aura's effect.

Enemy characters cannot be afflicted with Berserk more that two times per thread. Players determine for themselves how long the effects of Berserk apply to their character(s).

Soundtrack

The mention of Jagaimo's name immediately shifted the super saiyajin's tone to something darker, an almost tangible feeling that permeated the air. His grin vanished, and its place, a grim expression of contemplation. Maxsuz could sense the pure vitriol building up within the world destroyer on his skin. His árula itself was changing into something evil.

"Ha ha ha, did I touch the open wound? Unintentionally, you gave me all the information I needed from just your body language. I have faced that monkey in the past, and I can smell her scent all over you. You were with her just now, weren't you? That's why you're here. You're hiding and protecting your beloved. Now why is that, if she is also a warrior?"

His malignant grin only transmitted dark intentions, as if he was delighting himself on the prospect of torturing Lottus' heart. The golden warrior had no interest in playing around anymore, though. He locked is eyes with the Argin's, and spoke bluntly "that was a mistake". There were no more games to be had, only killing intent.

Suddenly, Lottus' aura flared with crimson and black flames mixing with golden sparks. It felt to the himônus as if the saiyajin's power had doubled, perhaps tripled in an instant. His own visage shifted from a wicked grin to a shocked stare.

"What? Is this... Real?"

Maxsuz assumed a defensive stance with both his sword and the dákron avatar surrounding him. Something was off about all of that. Was Lottus holding back that much, or had the mention of Jagaimo awakened something primal within him.

Soundtrack

Soon, the possessed world destroyer rocketed towards the swordsman with his arm stretched to the side. It was an attempt to decapitate him in a single strike. However, Maxsuz noticed the super saiyajin's had barely increased at all, he could still keep up with his opponent's move. Was the power he was feeling just a bluff, or had the golden warrior, in his rage, sacrificed mobility for more power?

The Maestro had no intention of getting hit by that clothesline to find out. He quickly formed a ghastly clone of himself right in front of him, while his real self leaped high into the sky by boosting his momentum with the dákron avatar's wings and paws. Lottus passed right through the ghost left behind, dissipating it, while the alkaguírio remained intact high in the sky.

"Too slow!" - he mockingly shouted at the berserk saiyajin. - "Sacrificing speed for power, or whatever you did, was your greatest mistake."

Lottus' arm found only empty space, and he hurtles past where Maxsuz had been standing only a moment ago. He'd acted too soon - the power he'd tapped into was burning out as fast as it had come to him, but it wasn't quite gone yet. Lottus kicks off the ground into a front flip, twisting his body around and slamming his feet against the ground, cracking it like baked clay, his cerulean eyes searching for Maxsuz.

The instant his eyes found the alien, Lottus crouches low energy bubbling up from his right shoulder and snaking down his arm to envelope his forearm and fist. Maxsuz's taunting about Jagaimo only adds further fuel to the inferno.

"ORRAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!!" Lottus bellows animalistically, throwing his head back in a primal fury. The Saiyan warrior erupts from the ground, hurtling towards Maxsuz once again with reckless abandon. Rather than attempt another clothesline, Lottus engages with a furious flurry of melee strikes - an attempt to brutalize the alien.

As he does, something... seems to try to manifest. For a brief moment, the crimson and black aura seemed to almost solidify over Lottus, and a shadowy monstrosity had gazed at Maxsuz. A jagged mouth like a jack-o-lantern cracked across the thing's face almost ear to ear, and pitless yellow glowing slits stared from where the eyes should be - Lottus' Wrathful Phantom had attempted to force its way out, but was just as quickly drawn back into Lottus, and the Saiyan thrusts his Ki infused fist at Maxsuz's sternum!

"YOU WILL DIE, EVEN IF I HAVE TO DESTROY THIS PLANET!!" Lottus bellows!

Wrathful Might has no MP to draw on, and forcefully deactivates! This places Lottus in the Winded status for this turn! Unable to gain MP for this turn and next turn! Utilities that activated during Wrathful Aura's use are now also forcefully deactivated!

Soundtrack

The raging super saiyajin passed through the ghastly after image with all his might, finding nothing, but empty air. He was not about to let that stop him, though. With a frontal flip, the world destroyer shifted his momentum and jumped towards the floating Maxsuz with his arm shrouded by dense árula. Lottus let out a primal roar as he approached the Argin high up at maximum speed.

No longer afraid of what he could do, the Maestro grinned with excitement and evil, raising both his and the dákron avatar's guard. Lottus fired a flurry of strikes at full power from all directions at the alkaguírio. At almost the same time, a seemingly demonic figure appears behind the super saiyajin, but was quickly snuffed out. Was that his wrath made physically manifest, or was there something that laid within the world destroyer that was trying to get out? Perhaps that was the way he managed to receive a second chance in life: absorbing an oni and controlling them.

However, Maxsuz would not let his guard down again, not even for a moment. No matter what that "thing" he saw was, the fact of the matter was that Lottus had not gotten significantly more dangerous. He would use both his alkálipe sword and the paws of the dark avatar in conjunction to deflect and parry every single one of the opponent's strikes.

The super saiyajin screamed from the top of his lungs he would kill the Maestro, even if Konats was destroyed in the process, wildly swing at him in the process. Maxsuz was in complete control of the situation now. The rage he had caused his adversary would only work to his benefit in the close future, in multiple ways.

"Ah, so the mask finally slips entirely. In the end, you just accepted your nature as a savage beast, monkey. Unhinged, primal, chaotic. Yet, even with all of your wrath embodied, you're STILL not good enough to beat me, ha ha ha ha ha!"

Maxsuz would dash downwards, inviting Lottus to follow him in his rage. If he did so, both the fighters would continue their clash of sword, limbs and ki through the entire battlefield, flashing in and out of sight with such thunderous impacts, they sent sonic booms through the region. That is until, Maxsuz grabs a hold of one of Lottus' arms with his dákron avatar, while launching the other gigantic fist straight towards his face.

"Are you even trying to hit me? Try harder!"

Lottus' wild swings were met and countered, fueling his rage ever further, carrying their conflict across the region at speeds so great that the two could scarcely have been followed with the naked eye. Each collision of flesh and steel a thunderclap, every concussive wave created by those blows shaking the very air and cracking stone and mountain side.

Maxsuz suddenly catches Lottus' arm, and delivers a hard blow in turn! It rocks Lottus back, but he was not at all deterred. Lottus' rage was an inferno in his chest - but it was a blaze blacked with fear for Jagaimo, and that fear was turned into hate - hate, that in turn also further fueled his rage in an unending cycle of self feeding and vile power. Lottus grits his teeth so hard it felt as though they might crack, and as his heart hammers in his chest, making his veins visible from the pressure, his bloodshot eyes maintain a crazed look in them.

His control was wavering.

Lottus snarls at Maxsuz - the Phantom again flickering across his body with a primal roar not unlike the great bellow of an Oozaru. Vale's warning was starting to show its ugly truth, but the only thoughts rolling through Lottus' mind were to destroy. Lottus attempts to grab hold of the hand holding onto his own arm, and attempts to pull Maxsuz into a vicious headbutt to the face!!

Much like what Maxsuz had expected from the enraged monkey, a punch from his dákron avatar barely put a dent on his resolve. Lottus seemed to be in an almost unconscious state of anger, where he could not be reasoned with or restrained until he let it all out. The feelings the world destroyer had towards Jagaimo were much stronger than the Argin could have even imagined. Even a savage brute like him could love and care for someone.

Once more, that ghastly aberration appeared behind the wrathful saiyajin, as he attempted to grapple the ghastly fist which had just struck him. His furious roar was just like that of an oozaru, the beast trying to get out, despite Lottus being on the superior golden form. Maxsuz was quick to react, dematerializing the arulal limb before the world destroyer could grasp it. His own frustration at that hissy fit had grown to the point of erupting, and it was time to truly strike back at raging saiyajin.

The Maestro back dashed slightly, while bring Fenrhus to his side. The blade channeled the dark energy from the dákron avatar and was imbued with dense onyx flames. In a fraction of a fraction of a second, Maxsuz closed the gap between the fighters again, his flaming sword now high up. His expression was of rage and bloodlust.

"CALM THE HELL DOWN!"

Soundtrack

In a downwards strike, the dark alkaguírio would bring his blade down, aiming for a superficial cut on Lottus' face that would slash clean through one of his eyes, while the fire seared the wound simultaneously. The Argin would fly around the world destroyer's body, stopping 2 meters behind him, and wait to see if, with such a serious injury, he would finally stop his rampage for a moment.

"I'm not here to hurt Jagaimo." - he spun around with a dead serious visage, sheathing Fenrhus. - "She has nothing to do with any or this, nor is her in any danger, from me or from the Mazoku clan. I came here for you, Lottus, and you only. I'm done playing with your heart. I want to discuss business. Me and you don't need to be enemies any longer."

As Lottus' second empowered punch wiffed past Maxsuz, Lottus' vision was starting to blacken. His rage had continued to mount, as if it were an endless well filling faster than he could climb out of; drowning in it. As he turns towards Maxsuz, his mouth opens wide, and energy collects from the very air itself, forming a crimson ball between his teeth, intensifying and crackling with destructive power.

Maxsuz's blade comes down, and vertically slashes across his brow, eye, and cheek! Lottus' natural reaction to the explosion of pain in his eye was to shake his head - in doing so, he unleashed the crimson ball of deadly energy, and it rockets towards a mountain! The instant it struck, the explosion blew away the clouds in an incredibly concussion detonation akin to a volcanic eruption, the clap of sound so loud that those without proper defenses would have their ear drums explode! Half of the mountain vanished in the flash of crimson light, looking as though some gigantic creature had taken a bite out of the mountainside!

Lottus howls, clapping his hands to his injured eye for a moment, and then turning his hateful gaze back on Maxsuz. When the Himmonus spoke, Lottus' lips curl, bearing his teeth as if they were fangs.

"LIAR!!" Lottus snarls. His body was shaking, positively quaking with the desire to kill, to destroy, like an addiction unsatisfied. But he doesn't charge - he had spent his strength, and it would take time to recover it. "You dealmakers lie - you ALWAYS LIE!!!"

Soundtrack

Before the himônus slashed through the enraged super saiyajin's face, his wrath had consumed him to the point he was about to fire a planet ending blast from his mouth. Thankfully, the sword strike and the immense pain distracted him enough to fire the chaotic attack randomly into a distant mountainside. Yet another crimson flash consumed that entire region of the planet in its light, and once it vanished, the impacted rock formation no longer existed.

The hate filled saiyajin turned back to face Maxsuz with his only functioning eye, while holding the wounded side of his face. The vitriol embodied his entire being made itself manifest on Lottus' word spoken: liar. His accusation clearly came from a place of suffering and possibly heartbreak. Too many people had backstabbed him before for him to believe the claims of anyone else.

However, the Argin's resolve didn't waver in the slightest. He moved closer to the enraged warrior, picked up his sheathed sword and threw it towards Lottus for him to grab it. Even with the colossal weight the alkálipe would exert on the world destroyer, giving he wasn't his owner, the Argin expected he would at least have the strength to hold it.

Soundtrack

"We can continue to fight here until we kill each other, if you so desire, but would that bring your beloved any good? Like I already told you repeatedly, you cannot defeat me, at least not without meeting your end too. We are far too close in might." - he smirked. - "But we're also alike in a many other ways, Lottus: we have a desire to fight the strongest warriors in the Universe; we love the rush of battle, pushing ourselves to our limits and beyond; we revel in chaos and mayhem, and will not allow ourselves to be controlled by any authority.

With all that said, I think I've already conquered your respect as a warrior, as I claimed I would. Now I want your partnership. For far too long have we been restrained and limited by the bindings of those who claim themselves as heroes, emperors, kings. This has to end, and it will, thanks to my new organization. There is no hierarchy, no chain of command. Each of our members does whatever they want, so long as it is not against the faction or its other partners.

I want you, Lottus, the World Destroyer, to be a part of this. I want you to join the Orchestra as one of our instruments. All that is asked is that you come to our aid when we move in to destroy or conquer a planet. You'll be sure to face the strongest warriors in the Universe in doing so, and participate in the spreading of chaos.

In exchange, me and the other instruments can guarantee Jagaimo's safety and discretion, if that is your wish."

Lottus grits his teeth, leering at Maxsuz. The idea of continuing the fight was certainly appealing - but despite having a clear ability to deal with Maxsuz' stronger attacks, the battle had taken something of a toll. The loss of his vision in one eye would not pose a problem for long, a rest in the healing chambers would fix that well enough. Killing some things in a hunt would give him enough of the Death energy to fix it himself. The loss would be temporary, and the pain, throbbing in his head, was still somehow less painful than the migraines he used to suffer every day when he had been infected with Destron.

When Maxsuz tosses the sword, Lottus catches it in one hand - and is immediately dragged down several feet through the air. Ah - right, it was one of those magic-infused blades that resisted being used by anyone that wasn't its intended wielder. Most likely, this weapon would crush weaker beings. That he could hold it - albeit in both hands - was either a comment about Maxsuz's intentions, or a mark of how powerful the Super Saiyan form really is. It was enough of a distraction that Lottus begrudgingly listens, eyeing Maxsuz.

After Max finishes, Lottus spits at the ground, getting some dirt out of his mouth.

"Instruments. How did you put it - You are just a means to an end, another tool for my machinations - you think me stupid, clearly." Lottus retorts. "You say this, and then that you wish me a partner? Forgive my monkey skepticism."

He tilts his chin down, gazing maliciously at Maxsuz.

"There are too many of you that believe me an unthinking beast, so I will lay down this warning. Don't think for a moment that I am ignorant to plots against me; nor am I blind in my rage." Lottus says, daring to hold out Maxsuz's sword in one hand, palm up, his arm shaking from the weight. "This is your first, and only warning - the Saiyan Prophesy regarding the Super Saiyan, is that of a cataclysm - The World Devourer. But this Devourer requires only one trigger..."

Lottus grips the sheath hard.

"Should any harm come to Jagaimo; that will mean the end. Not just for you, your organization - not just the planet where she would fall - I mean the end." he says venomously. "I will fulfill that stupid prophesy - I will snuff out EVERY SINGLE living thing in the Universe. I will crack the core of EVERY planet; I will darken EVERY star, until there is NOTHING and no one left in existence. It wont matter if I am killed - I will keep coming back until my work is done - and then I will find a way to erase Otherworld. This is not arrogance, ego, or foolishness speaking; this is fact. I will obliterate the Universe. And I imagine the end of the Universe puts something of a damper on your goals."

With a great effort, Lottus tosses the sword back to Maxsuz.

"Planet Plant is mine. It doesn't matter what government sits nice and tidy there - the planet belongs to me. No other planet matters, so if you want a hand in destroying them... then fine. Call on my power - but expect it to be for annihilation." he continues. "And if helping you allows me to slay the Gods, then all the better for me. I am no tool, no instrument, and beholden to no one's will but mine. Not Kings, not Gods, no one. You too may surpass my power, for a time; but I have no limits - my power will grow forever, until my soul too fades."
