“Space.
The final frontie…”
The holoviewer faded to black instantly at the push of a button on the remote the young woman held in her hand and Jagaimo groaned from the huge reclining sofa that filled part of the cinema room of the luxury starship she somehow found herself in possession of. She’d looked to upgrade from her pod and had been meaning to move up in the world for a while now but when she’d entered the yards a number of things had caught her completely by surprise. Firstly they knew who she was and she was immediately directed to a small hovercraft that was normally reserved for nobility and emissaries when they came looking for a new craft to zip through the stars with. Jagaimo wasn’t about to argue with them and accepted the seat quite happily considering it was becoming increasingly more tiring day by day just walking around the district as she was now. Whatever the child inside her was doing it was drawing on a hell of a lot of her strength to do it.
Secondly the vendor of the yard met her at the part of the lot she’d never made it to in all her years of coming here. Everything had always been so astronomically expensive that she’d just never bothered looking. And the Vendor, a Saiyan with one leg, a bald head and a laugh that boomed from his gut at the slightest thing that he found amusing, was someone she’d never expected to see. He was decked out in some strange fashions including a massive golden chain and weird sparkly stones in his teeth. There didn’t seem to be any combat purpose to the adornment but maybe they helped strengthen his bite? She didn’t really have time to ask before she was bombarded with a torrent of information regarding the different vessels available to her…the man seemed to have a tendency to laugh loudly and flash a smile at the end of every sentence.
Thirdly her line of credit seemed to be far more massive than she’d ever thought possible. Apparently there had been several trade investments of precious stones almost a year ago now from another Saiyan, an older woman with a lopsided smile, which coupled with increases in stability had resulted in some tidy interest and profits on numerous trade runs. Jag was staring at an absolute fortune when she took a moment to check her finances herself. What this meant was that, never mind one vessel, Jagaimo could have literally brought her own convoy of ships. It left her speechless for several minutes as the small cart weaved slowly through the shipyards while the vendor waffled on about the merits of various vessels and his long list of esteemed clients.
It had taken over 4 hours for her to finally make a decision.
And now here she was in her very own luxury star yacht, equipped with better facilities than she had at home and a bedroom bigger than her entire living space back in the District. Even her apartment in the Palace wasn’t as plush as the vessel she had picked out. The thing practically flew itself as well…she hadn’t been to the bridge in days, waddling around the ship between rooms and pretty much only moving when she needed to. It was very easy to see why the wealthy became so lazy. It wouldn’t do in future and she was already considering plans to have half the ship gutted and installed with some of the Tuffle gravity tech to help with training on longer trips, a vast improvement over the empty matted space that was currently adjacent to the hold that was used for training by the previous owner…but for now she was content to relax and allow herself to indulge in ice cream whenever she felt like it…which she did right now.
Rolling off the giant sofa the young mother-to-be rubbed her back and stretched a little and shook her head when she caught sight of herself in her reflection on the polished surfaces. She was as big as a house and no amount of loose fitting clothing could hide the fact she was far less muscular than she had ever been and that she was also heavily pregnant. She smiled and was still surprised to see herself smiling back on the shiny surface rather than the complete stranger she felt like some days.
Her bare feet moved quietly through the corridors of highly finished metals, patterns swirling along panels in the walls, the lights dimming and brightening as she passed by towards the kitchen area. She’d guessed the previous owner had used servants as there were a number of smaller cabins aft of the vessel and a whole bunch of doorways that could keep traffic away from the main corridors if need be, but she’s scoffed at the idea of anyone working for her or serving her when she was quite capable of walking under her own power.
That being said she reached out slowly with her senses, the first time for a few days now seeking out the passenger she knew was there somewhere…his power was impossible to miss and to her expanded senses he shone through the entire vessel when she looked for him this way.
Jagaimo let a small smile play across her lips and walked slowly to where she felt his presence, masking herself completely as she moved, dampening her Ki to nothing and deadening the sound she made as she moved…
