SNAP!!
A large, purplish pink berry breaks off from its branch, rolling around in a large palm. Lottus looks at the thing for a moment, and tosses it into his mouth. As he chews, Lottus reaches up and takes several hand fulls of berries, tossing them into a cylinder as he goes. It wasn't as good as hunting, really, but it passed the time. Out here, the forest teemed with life other than Saiba Beasts and roving Saibamen gangs. It was peaceful, which made it utterly boring to Lottus. But still, he had developed a taste for other foods after he'd eaten enough of the food at the Brawl Hole. Saiba meat was good, but too one type for his growing appetite.
This deep into the forest, he was far and away from any Tuffle villages, and WELL away from Hatchi City. He had come here for two reasons - first was to try new foods, yes, and the second was to follow through with his training with Vale. A place filled with life, was also filled with death. And living things that died exerted an energy that mortals could not feel - except for Lottus. Lottus moves away from the trees, feeling tiny sensations of death energy all around him, near and distant. Animals hunting animals, insects ambushing and eating other insects and arthropods - this vibrant, living forest was rife with death energy, even if only in brief, tiny little bursts.
Lottus plops down near a pond, the location not too distant from where he'd first met Nasu and that strange witch that vanished without a trace. He raises his hand, focusing on the feeling of death around him, shaking the cylinder with his other hand to jar a berry into his mouth. He latches onto the sensations of death... and begins tugging at it, pulling at the energies that oppose life until a marble sized ball forms over Lottus' upturned palm. It was, for lack of a better description, like a black hole. Too black to be natural, and it seemed to warp the air near it, even light itself seemed to have the color sapped away, giving the air around the ball a muted greyish brown color of the surroundings when Lottus raises it to eye level and looks past the ball to a distant tree.
It was nothing major, but it was a start. Pulling on death energies was a simple task in Hell, naturally, but it was much more difficult here in the living realm,,,
