Your wound threshold is increased by +1 This extra wound is treated the same as your second for its timers. In addition, should you join a death-enabled AT with 0 wounds and die, you may instead opt to live and take 3 wounds at once. Doing this results in a Penalty timer of 6 months.

Sparking Techniques created using Light Techniques can be used an additional time. You must use the same Sparking Technique used the first time, and it costs an additional 1 MP on its second use.
SELF-SACRIFICE
You may activate any one of your Standard Techniques using your life force. This will render it free of cost, but will instantly knock you out, or wound you in Action Threads. Can not be used on the same turn you would normally be knocked out from damage. The technique may be boosted as per normal boosting rules.

BACKGROUND: Explain your character's history, and what made them the person they are today.
Life is a symphony. A melody of sounds and sensations that interweave with one another, whether that be of the gentle orchestra of a forest breeze with a babbling brook trickling by, or the electric drone and beats of machines and "civilisation". Or at least that's how Scales perceives it, since that was what Awoke her from her life as a Critter into a Fauxbian. Something had pricked her ears one day, and she took a curious look at a camping ground. Humanoid figures were all sitting around a fire, or dancing around as a series of sounds came out from a tiny box... Then -that- chord came through, and whatever it was reverberated throughout her body.
That first week of Awakening had been her most curious and anxious. The people, these campers who were here on Fauxterra something called Summer Vacation, couldn't tell her who had made that sound or even why it had triggered her Awakening. But they helped out in other ways, by explaining what music was, and they even had some instruments with them! She spent that week discovering which strings made which sounds, how gentle or how rough to thrash a drum to make the right noises, and what combination of keys could produce a melody. At the same time Scales got her name, partially for her adeptness with the arpeggios, but also because she was a Pangolin and covered in scales.
The second week she discovered she had a knack for manipulating something called "ki" through music. And so she spent time wandering Fauxterra practicing and honing her skills. She even went so far as to craft her own personal bass guitar to further practice with.
But no matter how much she practiced, no matter how much she tried, Scales could never quite figure out what chord it was that had Awakened her. Nor even why it had in the first place... All she knew was that the sound had come from beyond Fauxterra, somewhere out there in the distant stars.... And so she took a ship off-world on a quest to discover the source of that chord, to discover who or what had made it... And maybe they could help her figure out what she was supposed to do...

Description: Used mainly to store and summon her instruments in the various pendants or other items on her person, Scales can conjure up objects or structures. Larger or more complicated things will take more energy and focus to create. This technique is passive and does not require KP.
