While Dion wasn't necessarily a fighter with a flair for the dramatic, when the opportunity presented itself, who didn't enjoy themselves a good ol' fashioned sparring session?
Initially, when confronted with the concept of potentially facing off with Kronos one on one, the brotherly bartender wasn't particularly ecstatic. The last time he had seen the young man in any form of combat was back when he was saving his skin from the likes of the evil scientist known as Yangcong, and although the power and potential he displayed was greater than that of most, the sheer stress of the circumstances the two narrowly escaped was enough to worry the older warrior to his near breaking point. He didn't want to force the fledgling fighter into battle sooner than what he was prepared for.
But, seeing as it's already been a couple weeks since the incident being spoken of, Dion thought it finally time to get it all out of Kronos' system. Ever since he first met him, the youthful fighter's near fanatical fervency toward becoming as strong as possible was a drive that he both admired and appeared wary of. It was a flame that required tempering, and if no one else was meant to do it, who would but he?
So, after some short (and practically unneeded) convincing, Dion and Kronos were set to finally have their fated little clash in the midst of the calm of the Maima Fields. While there were probably better places to have such a potentially destructive sparring session, it was the only place that was close enough to the house in the case of someone actually getting severely injured. Even if Dion didn't expect Kronos to be capable of that level of violence, there was no point in tempting fate- after all, it was the fights that you least expected resistance on that could give you a whole world of trouble.
Wearing his Sunday sparring best, that being his brand-new black overcoat in tandem with his dress vest sitting just underneath, Dion started going through his pre-fight routine whilst waiting for his plus one's arrival. Taking the time to stretch himself out a bit as he ran a hand through his spiky black hair.
It had been a while since he had fought anyone in a carefully controlled environment. The last time likely being his barroom brawl with Jagaimo however many years that was ago. A sort of sad fact all things considered, seeing as he was basically put through the blender of battle for the rest of his time up until now- but at the very least Dion could say he finally found himself a little piece of peace to have to himself.
For the time being, at least. No one really could predict the next time a planet ending threat would waltz itself across the cosmos, and that was partially why Dion was ready to give what Kronos had likely been waiting for. Time waited for no men, and if he didn't do all he could to get Kronos ready for the battles that laid ahead for the both of them, what kind of unofficial older brother would he be?
Speaking of which, as soon as Dion would begin to pick up on the aforementioned fighter's energy approaching his immediate location, the older brother figure would quickly straighten himself to proper position. Crossing his arms and staring at the incoming combatant with an expectant expression on his face.
"You certainly kept me waiting," Dion said, a coy grin growing onto his boyish features. "You ready to get this thing going? I know you of all people have been waiting for it."
