With how quick-witted Prim was with her advice, you'd almost be inclined to believe that the Kashvar was used to these kinds of breaking and entering gigs. Yes, chances were that traps would be in the interior of the premises. Yakito kept that in mind; once they went past that door after busting it open or unlocking it, whichever came first, the fox would need to stay on high alert for hazardous surprises.
"Uh?" Despite being slow to talk back, Yakito quickly caught the capsule sent his way with his paws becoming a swift blur as the object shifted into its true form midair. With curious eyes, the androgynous fox looked down at what he was hauling before nodding in approval after recognizing the object for what it was. "A generator! Crazy you got that with you. Are you some kind of tech-savvy spy full of gizmos? WAIT! Don't answer that... I feel like whatever my brain is conjuring right now is funnier than the reality."
The fox did as instructed, setting the portable generator on the floor before sliding its cables into the electrical outlet inside the panel. "Fingers crossed!" Sure enough, the massive reinforced sliding doors popped open after Yakito gave them a test by flicking the circuit breaker switch with an "entrance" label right next to it. Provided they had a more powerful generator, they could have killed two birds with one stone by also restarting the lightning within the mysterious fortress, but sadly what Prim provided was more for in-and-out uses.
Before the thing shut down again, Yakito hurried himself inside with the Kashvar probably following close. The interior was dark, outrageously so. It smelled of rotten eggs, sulfur. "Eh, might have good eyes, but pitch blackness is not something I can see through." With a press of a button on the side of his rebreather, Yakito turned on the flashlight function of his ki-reading apparatus. "Let's stay alert! We don't know w-" Yakito's steps didn't echo in the emptiness of the main hall. Instead, a soaked squelch made itself known. His naked feet felt uncomfortably damp. He hesitantly looked down to see what he just blindly stepped into.
A thick, red layer of sludge across the floor - most likely blood mixed with something else. The fact it didn't dry out was quite peculiar. A forced deglutition noise came out from the fox's throat. He had to willingly restrain himself to not just barf out his breakfast. "Ew..." Yakito was just unlucky, for that puddle of semisolid bloodstuff didn't litter the entire hall. This being said, there were a few of them here and there. Just to be sure, the fox confirmed that nothing alive apart from Prim and himself was in the vicinity. "No additional lifeforms detected..." At least this is what the scouter said. "Let's not take things for granted, though; I do not like how fresh these heaps of bloody whatever are."
