It was surprising, Lottus affirms mentally, how little of the Vegeta Region he had actually bothered to explore. But here, well... Tarbel Village held very, very bad memories for him. In fact, he hadn't been to Tarbel Village in...
"Sixteen years..." Lottus mutters to himself. He wondered... was it still standing? The very idea of looking for his childhood home makes Lottus' skin crawl. But he had identified a weakness in himself, and he could not tolerate that problem. The village lacked the hustle and bustle of Sadala, even the Radditsu District was more bustling.
No doubt, if things had gone differently... Lottus raps is fist across his brow as he walks, as if warning off his own depression from rearing its ugly head. As he walks, Saiyans turn to look at him curiously, though the shock on those wearing scouters was evident. He never made any effort to hide his power away, but it was just as likely they simply knew who he was. Notoriety could be just as asinine as fame, after all. Lottus rounds a corner, and finds that familiar road.
A dusty dirt road leading towards a modest property. Lottus walks along the path, his bootsteps kicking up dust and small stones. There is grass here, but it is brown and dull, more like grass if it was growing sickly. At the end of the road...
"Still standing, then..." Lottus mutters, his coal black eyes falling on a home carved from a massive boulder. There didn't seem to be any activity, and he couldn't see any signs of lights being on inside -- though he was a good hundred or so feet away. Every step towards the home made Lottus' chest chill and constrict. But before he knew it, he stood before the wooden door to the home.
Lottus' eyes fall to the latch of the door - it was open, though only slightly. He couldn't hear any voices though. Had it stood abandoned this entire time? Lips curling in a snarl, Lottus pushes the door open. A cloud of dust billows as the door swings open. His eyes are drawn to the floor, where a wide patch of brown stains the wood. Lottus' brow furrows, and he enters the home. The stain was faint, but a bigger stain was present in the kitchen as he enters.
The bodies of his father and mother had been collected, but the home itself was left alone, never claimed by another family. Lottus gazes at the floor of the kitchen, his expression cold. This stain was the blood of his father. Lottus had caused this when he'd gotten ahold of a butcher knife as his father had chased after him. The bastard had killed his mother, and paid the price within minutes of doing so. This home held screams that echoed only in Lottus' own mind now.
Lottus had become what everyone in the galaxy calls him. Right here. Bastard. Dog. Beast. Monster.
Lottus blinks, and turns away from the stains, walking through the rest of the building and out through the back door into a wide yard. It was overgrown now, but it didn't change much otherwise.
