Morrigan shifted her gaze to eye up another new challenger. She raised a hand halfway to defend herself, just to stop short as Kyten declared his intent and she realized that she knew this smiling face from the Furnace debacle too. She couldn’t sense this one’s strength either, but had faith enough he would prove his mettle working with herself and Steel. To the latter Morrigan huffed for still missing her name, though she wasn’t very well about to drop everything and clue him in. Not unless Monster suddenly changed his mind about dragging their carcasses through the city.
To that point, Morrigan grunted as she was swept away by the beast’s renewed rush, prying at his arm until she rolled out of the clothesline and tumbled back onto her two feet. For as disruptive as it was, she fortunately escaped without new injury. No, that seemed reserved for Steel, being mercilessly dragged through concrete and metal by their nimbus-riding foe.
The martial artist pounced in pursuit, leaving behind the ever-intensifying clash of titans. Much as a part of her wanted to be there with them, find how they were so strong when they were so ill-composed, her better nature knew to resolve this fight first. She’d have her time. She just had to win.
Leaping up the side of a building that had managed to stay standing yet, Morrigan interlaced her fingers and aimed her palms in Monster’s path. With a push of energy timed to her heartbeat, a shockwave exploded from her and intercepted the pair! It might hurt a touch, but wouldn’t leave lasting damage on either even if they took it. Her true hope was to disrupt the orange cloud that Monster seemed reliant on for flight, to clip his wings and fight on more even terms.
