Beast in Peace

It had been many months of traveling across her home world for Daika as she searched far and wide for leads on potential trainers, skills, or mythical items of yore. Any hint of Ki that she could snatch onto that seemed remotely powerful was something she went after immediately, bouncing from great warrior's doorstep to another. Many great Saiyans, mostly friends of her parents, turned her away as she continued her seemingly endless march across the planet's surface in hunt for greatness.

This most recent voyage, however, took her somewhere she did not initially ever see herself going towards. Mere leagues from the villages and great cities of the infamous Tuffles, these other humanoids that shared her beloved planet, Daika was nestled into the foliage of an odd tree eating away at the fruit in a deep hunger. She could sense the small, insignificant power levels of the weakling Tuffles far away, their signatures like small candles in a great sea of darkness across this side of the globe... Except, the raging bonfire mere meters away that she had been chasing. Whatever, whoever it was, she had been watching for an hour now. Her vision obscured by the trees but her senses blaring warnings of power. If this being was anything like the others she'd met before, they'd be a challenge if they weren't a friendly face. The young saiyan would finish her fruit, jumping from the tree and make her way through the last of the forest line to look fora visual on her target.

Daika would see the odd being not too far away. This uncomfortable alien looking beast seemed to be... playing? The saiyan propped a crooked smile at the sight. It wasn't like a large monster to be acting like such a child, but as Daika watched with eager anticipation she couldn't help but want to play as well. She hadn't had anyone to play with since she was five years old, the other Saiyan royals and nobility children usually far too afraid to get too close to the abomination that was the super powered freak child.
The saiyaness was cautious as she watched the creature hang upside down, small avians flitting around the beast as it enjoyed the warm sun's beams. She'd crawl over the crest of the hill she was hiding on, slowly making her way down to the great beast, each footfall quiet but not silent. Her tail loose and free, each small wag showing her curiosity as much as her caution.

"Hello?" The little voice would speak at Bane, now only a dozen or so feet away from the being now laying in the grass. Her body posture was that of confidence, chest slightly raised as she anticipated the monster to turn on her. "I saw you playing with those birds. They're pretty animals. We don't have any like them where I'm from." She'd try and make soft conversation, gauging exactly how much this creature was capable of understanding. Was this giant bug-like monster a sentient being or some unfortunate circumstance of wildlife? "My name's Daika. What's yours?" she'd politely ask, her tail wagging behind her exposing her excitement as she struggled to hide it.

Seeing this great being crouch down to be as close to eye level as they could get was intimidating for the young Saiyan, that was for sure. She stepped one foot back to brace herself as she looked up in amazement at this now seemingly sentient entity of such massive proportions. He was nothing like she'd ever seen before, much less spoken to, and his name was very clearly not anything of Saiyan descent. Not that she could ever confuse this hulking mass for a Saiyan! "Bane!" She'd repeat excited as this prospect of encountering someone so grand in strength and size, yet being so nice too. "That's a really cool name!"

When the being asked her why she was here, the question did stump the little Saiyan at first. Daika was here initially to look for adventure, some sort of advance in her training to master her craft... But really, she just wanted some time away from it all. Some time to find her place in the higher echelons of life on her quest to be the strongest Saiyan to ever live.
"Uh... It is pretty far away isn't it" She'd repeat the thought to Bane, scratching her head as she debated as to the best answer to give. "I'm looking for strong people, strong friends. I wanna get cool weapons and fight awesome battles." The child would retort with an explosive level of excitement. Hyping herself at the prospect of potentially becoming a better and better warrior. "I dunno what got me here exactly, but I felt your Ki from a loooooooong way that way and followed it to see who you were." As she would speak, Daika's little hand would reach out and poke Bane's carapace with curiousity, her questions growing as she studied the man. "Speaking of... what are you? I've never seen an animal or person like you here on Plant. Are you an alien or something?"

Daika smiled at the Tuffle as he explained the odd situation. It was definitely a change of pace to hear about an offworlder bothering to visit Plant, though she was sure he had his reasons. She was glad to see a more diverse set of people than your every day saiyan or tuffle bickering about something here or there. Budoshi seemed like a breath of fresh air from what she had been dealing with for the past good while. "It's nice to meet you Budoshi. What kind of martial arts do you practice? Oh! Or are you a specialist trying to work on your own!" She'd get excited thinking of the possibilities.

Hearing Bane speak of his own experiences definitely made Daika excited. The sounds of Oozaru sized Saiba-beasts and saving people from certain doom! She could only aspire to be lucky enough to find herself helping people like that. It was what she always wanted to do, help protect others with her natural strength. Prove to her parents that she can do more than sit in a room and learn about history or foreign languages while being as strong as an adult at a fourth of the age.

"Oh wow! That sounds like it was a lot of fun! If you can get even bigger than an Oozaru you must be wicked strong when you're that tall!" She would say, watching the giant place the fruits before her. She'd smile, bowing thankfully at the gentle Bio-Android as she'd take a bite of one of the many fruits and enjoying the natural sweet flavors. It wasn't a nice steak, but it was a meal with a friend, something she rarely got to enjoy. "That tuffle, was he a machine fully? I've heard from my teacher that sometimes the... eccentric ones tend to replace enough of themselves that they become more machine than person. Like saiyans who become crazy with working out that they become more like animals than people. Scary thought to have that happen just from being excited about your passion." She'd rub the back of her head, remembering her own savage moments when she lost control of her own rage. It was easy for her to accidentally become that very problem she mentioned aloud, much to her own chagrin. "But I don't think he was anything like you Bane. You're super nice. Bad people are bad people no matter what they're made of. Good people are made of good stuff."
