The heavy heat of Konats' midday bathed the planet's surface in its burning blaze with a merciless abandon. With the very air rippling from its force as many people rushed themselves to the safety of their homes. What was once a normal day immediately turned to one of Konats' worst heatwaves in decades.
For Jinichi, however, it was Thursday.
Feeling the sun's gaze hot upon his back, the young man welcomed it with an odd joyfulness upon his masked face. A great sense of familiarity came from its warmth, and considering the circumstances of his origin and birth, it wasn't particularly very surprising.
His mother passed on much more than just his Konatsian blood within his veins- with the monstrous sickness that had once laid inside of her now taking silent refuge within the young man now as well. While the shinobi himself was unaware of the lingering flame that laid inside of him, said flame at least enabled him to have a heightened tolerance for higher end temperature. That, coupled with his Konatsian heritage, encouraged Jinichi to find solace within the sultriness, rather than shy away from it like so many others happened to do.
Which was why, on a day like this, Jinichi was out and about while most people were cowering within the comfort of the indoors. The outdoors was calling to him, and, unlike people, its unpredictability was a welcomed side effect. He rarely ever got the chance to enjoy some downtime by himself considering the social requirements of his somewhat aimless journey, so he was quite determined to take advantage of the day.
Donning his usual black combat uniform, the young man set out into the wilds of the S'tarche Coast. Holding in both hands his trusty notebook and a small, brown picnic basket respectively as he blitzed his way across the countryside. Nothing but a shadowy blur to the untrained eye. He was looking for a very particular spot, something that had a nice overlook of the ocean proper, but also had a nice bit of sand to play around with whenever he got a little bored. Yes, Jinichi, a man in his twenties, did still enjoy a sandcastle or two. Though there was much more that he was planning on doing before the day was out. A bit of light reading here, some light refreshment there, and maybe even a bit of swimming thrown into the mix.
But, in order to do all of these things, a proper spot was needed, and that was why Jinichi eventually chose to set up shop directly by the ocean itself- finding a nice piece of sandy coast with calm enough waves to set the scene as he slowly began to breathe it all in. Beaming, the swordsman set down a towel and immediately started to get everything all set up.
Rummaging through his basket, Jinichi took mental note of everything he laid his hands on to make sure everything on his mental list was accounted for. Sunscreen, glasses, suntan lotion, etcetera- everything that one would need for a nice time at the beach was all here.
And so, to start the day's activities off, Jinichi decided to get a bit of time under the sun in before anything else. Casting a careful gaze into the jungle area that was about twenty or so yards away from his little piece of paradise, Jinichi ensured that no one else was around before beginning to strip down most of his clothes. Leaving nothing on but some spandex swimming trunks as he laid down onto his blanket, a satisfied sigh leaving his lips.
Closing his eyes, Jinichi allowed his body to fully soak in the sun's rays, an absentminded smile forming onto his normally more anxious features. Truly, nothing could ruin such a perfect day.
It could only get better from here, right?
