Gandigan's newfound alliance with the Ogres of Hell was a strained one. When he had first come to Hell he had done his fair share of getting on their nerves, which included excursions to places he wasn't supposed to be. However after his realization that he needed to remain in Hell, Gandigan came to decision that he needed to get on their good side, and since then had been helping them try and track down the various rifts that had been opening up around Hell.
Of course tracking them alone wasn't going to solve anything, but it did push them one step closer to finding the source of all this chaos. The Ogres had devised a system which had become fairly accurate in predicting where the next rift would open, and today it happened to land on Limbo Town.
So Gandigan and the lot made their way over to Limbo, clearing out a large section and blocking it off from civilians. Once they felt as though they had things under control they would circle around the spot they predicted the rift would spawn where they would have several machines set up and ready to go. Today they'd be testing out new equipment which they hoped might seal off the portal, though Gandigan had his doubts. Ogre engineering had thus far failed to impress him.
"Alright.... alright.... readings are high... we're getting a massive energy spike here... rift should be... open!" A bright flash of light cut through the center of a small town square, which was quickly met by fire from all sides. The Ogre's machines zapped the portal with bolts of lightning, but the energy was quickly reversed and sent backwards, causing the machines to explode. Gandigan ignored the chaos and walked forward, attempting to look within.
"Looks like this one is connected to Earth!"
