Yogu was in desperate need of a vacation. All this president crap was getting seriously annoying! How long was he going to have the job if he won? Two years? That was going to be hell!

It was time for Yogu to escape responsibility and its consequences for a little while. He bailed on Central City and began his trek north, which was hard to do when you don't have a ride. Now, where exactly was he going to kick back? Somewhere remote. A nice log cabin sat alone in the land of ice for him to chillax in. Too bad he didn't own anything like that.

Instead, the boy camped out on some ice shelf freezing his ass off and questioning what he was even out here doing. That was something that was getting too common. His behavior had been getting more erratic. If this whole excursion wasn't a perfect example of that, then the trying to become a world leader at age twenty thing definitely was. It all started when he first met Lottus a few months back, but why? Did seeing a Super Saiyan just wig him out that bad?

This absolutely riveting line of thought is interrupted by a rumbling deep below him that shakes any possible revelations out of his empty head. The ice below him cracks, and faint light seeps through. "What the- BWAHHHHH!" The entire ice shelf collapses in on itself, revealing to Yogu a great big something that was very bright and sucked in everything around it, including him. He screams the whole way down. Everything goes dark when he falls directly into the vortex's center.

The first thing to come through the portal was a boulder-sized chunk of ice that rocketed its way toward Gandigan. Then, shortly after, someone came out! It wasn't Yogu. It wasn't even human. Glowing red eyes stood high through the smoke cloud caused by the damaged portal-zappers. The body they're attached to comes into view as the thing lumbers forward, the ground shaking with each step. A ten-foot-tall demon stood in the village square, looking quite at home in his new surroundings. "You little bastards... Thought a little song and dance number would take me out for good, did you?! Well, here I am. Same as always. Whoever came up with that cute little plan ought to fess up. That way, I'll make it quick for-" The Monster registers its surroundings finally. This wasn't Konats. He wasn't engaging in the beautiful destruction of those wimpy space elves! Something was very wrong. Had their spells actually worked? He didn't recognize any of these creatures. Did those little bastards send him off to some distant world? Rather than fight him like warriors?

His eyes scan the square, giving the ogres the stink eye. He could smell the bureaucracy coming off them. Finally, he points a long black-nailed finger at Gandigan, "You. Explain, fancy pants. What the hell is going on?"

Monster sneers and bares his teeth at the denizens he can spot while Gandigan speaks. So he was in Hell, huh? To say the demon was disappointed would undersell it. His beady red eyes train back on the Namek, raising an eyebrow when fancy pants begins to grow in size and swiftly surpass him in strength. He chuckles staring up at his interrogator, "Overcompensation much?" Monster was getting a kick out of all of this, but something was still definitely wrong. It should be easy for him to overpower this giant, but it wouldn't even be a close fight. Something was restricting his power. Now was not the time for fists, but to use his mouth for something other than talking crap.

"Big man, I'd love ta give you all the answers to life's questions- But I don't have a clue what you're going on about. I'm a solo act, and my job's to send people here, not wind up in this shithole myself. No offense." He stomps closer, looking up at Gandigan, "Normally, I'd take credit for everything you're accusing me of. But you got the wrong demon this time, pal. The last thing I remember is smashing Konats to bits. Now I'm here." The thing says with a shrug. There was no question in his mind; he was no dead man. There was no hope of taking him out permanently for those losers. "Hey, maybe there's no one behind those void thingies, and we're just witnessing the start of the entropic death rattle of the universe. Huh?" He liked his theory. The Monster's head snaps to an Ogre that stands there frozen in fear watching him. A low growl rumbles out of the spooky guy, and he looks back up at the inquisitive Namekian. "So're you the king of this dump or what? Tell those things to quit eyeballing me before I squash 'em."

The beast stifles a laugh. Gandigan reminded Monster of the wizards on Konats, and boy, was it fun to push their buttons. Before their imminent destruction, of course. The prospect of being stuck down here wasn't nearly as fun, though. Still, the Monster couldn't help its nature, "Oh, I can sense the difference between us, believe me. Respect just isn't in my vocabulary. This is me on my best behavior! Scout's honor! Heh heh..."

Those tense few moments right before things got violent always gave him butterflies in his tummy. The beast smiles right before Gandigan calls out to his Ogre militia, having gone through this routine countless times, "Ah, so you're no King, eh? They just enjoy taking orders like peasant rabble. Pathetic, frankly." He does a quick three-sixty, and sure enough, combatants surround the creature on all sides. This didn't phase it, "I guess I was wrong. Even rabble carry swords and spells! BWAHAHAHA!" They were almost cute.

He fights every instinct not to tear into the Ogres like a rabid dog. That just wouldn't do anything for him. His hands tighten into knuckles while he stands there, still looking up at the big deceased Daimyō, "You've been to Konats or something? I feel like I'd remember your freaky face... Awh, you know. Konats is same old, same old. Kashvar want their planet, Konatsians winge and whine and go on about their Kings. I level their cities. Heh. Don't know this Lottus gu-" Monster flinches in surprise at himself, "Hang on, you know what... That name does have a familiar ring to it." The creature's brain starts catching up to the present, it was a veritable onslaught of information. He suddenly drops, sitting down criss-crossed, humming a tune to himself, "Gimme a second here."

Flashes of images crossed his mind. Generations of lives he watched trapped in the subconscious of some lame space elves, passing on to the next like a hereditary disease. Finally, he was sat in some overly hormonal earthling, and that boy had some damage. Cracks that allowed him to seep out from the subconscious again for the first time in centuries. That's when he saw it, the Super Saiyan. Lottus. The beast wasn't the mother of all monsters anymore. And that pissed him off, baaad.

Monster's eyes shoot open, glowing like embers. "So, you know that shitheel?" He stands again, "Sorry to continue to disappoint, but nothing is happening on Konats. Nothing that I'm involved with, at least. Yet. I haven't been there in over a century! You know how it is. Sometimes your brain gets a little scrambled after falling through random portals." He knocks on his skull, and it clangs like sheet metal. "So, seeing as I haven't done anything wrong here- other than innocently dropping into a rip in reality- you wanna call off the troops? Or are we doin' this?" After being asleep in some dinky mortal's body for so long, he was itching for a fight. Even if it was one he couldn't win. His grander plans needed more time, however. And kicking the bucket and winding up here because he pissed off some dead oversized bug- Was it a bug?

"Hey, what the hell are you anyway? Never seen someone that can grow like that." Sure, Monster had been watching Yogu's entire life, but that didn't mean he was good at paying attention. The kid's mind hadn't come with a notepad.

Monster watches the hell-things go back to their machines. He hadn't a clue what they were doing. Still, a winning smile mechanically stretched across his face, watching them toil away uselessly. The creature had to take its wins where it could. At the very least, to suppress the urge to attack everything it sees. The Monster hated itself for calling it a victory, but what else could he call it? Cowardice? He might as well die then. No, this new age would require a new perspective. The scope was so much larger than a backwater desert planet now. There were whole galaxies to make quake in fear at his name. So, any moment that passed where a larger fish didn't swallow him up had to be a victory. It gave him the chance to devour them.

Monster was giddy now, following Gandigan away from the reality tear. He was free from that kid, and the present was ceaselessly fascinating and new compared to his past. Namekian. That's what he was. "No, I'm afraid I haven't. No offense intended, mister hell-king. Just haven't been... Here." Of course came the question of what this horned thing standing there was. He always enjoyed that question. A big grin spread across his face, "Hmm... Yes, I see no reason not to tell you. You are stuck down here, after all."

He paces silently, milking the moment, "Here's the long answer: ...I am nameless, I've decided. Thing, they called me. My masters. For a brief history lesson, there were these folk on Konats called the Kashvar— no clue if they're still around— but those old mages are my parents, if you want to call it that. Birthed from black magicks and the like, you know, I'm sure." His smile shifted. It was for show at first, but now his mind was elsewhere, and it was genuine. "They gave me one purpose. Killing anything that isn't them. Boy, did I love it. I did good. The Konatsians called me Monster for that." Monster's smile twists into an enraged grimace, "Then the little bastards put me to sleep with their song! On those stupid. little. flutes! And I slept long... Until I woke up in the body of some moron from Earth who, frankly, is easy to manipulate. Now this." He gestures around at everything, then himself. "Freedom, I suppose."

His eyes land back on Gandigan, "The short answer: Not a clue. If you have a suggestion for a name, I'd love to hear it."

In all his grandiose overacting, he'd forgotten how bad his life story made him look. There was also a key detail he omitted. He didn't feel whole. A rather large part of himself was missing. It could be his lack of complete control over his boyish vessel on Earth, but somehow, it felt like more than that. Where was Yogu, anyhow? Was he trapped in Monster's subconscious? Ripped apart by the spatial anomaly, leaving only the center of this spiritual matryoshka doll? Who knows!

Ooh, this was a fun little twist. The Namek knew the Kashvar well. Monster snickers, "Well, isn't that a fun little coincidence." Now, even Monster felt a little tense. That urge to slug Gandigan in the face was stronger than ever, and still, he held back. He was almost startled by himself. These years trapped had mellowed him out. "A damn shame that. If only you got your revenge before you kicked the bucket, heh heh..." Monster hadn't considered his creators in some time. Did he care for them? It did not take long to come up with a decisive no. Perhaps Yogu was rubbing off on the creature and started its rebellious teen phase. Or had it been the other way around? He couldn't remember.

Monster listens to Gandigan dream about his allies slaying the Kashvar with a raised eyebrow. Was this an attempt to get a rise out of him? The beast shrugs, "Believe me, I'd thank your pals too, bud. My creators get no love from me. I'm tired of playin' lapdog to those freaky little goblins. When I get out of here, I'm gonna go get some revenge on those bastards! Hell, I'll even tell 'em you said hi 'fore I do it. Heh. Hell." Speaking of, he was starting to like this place. It was quaint. The day when his world-terrorizing ends won't be so awful. It seemed easy enough to conquer if not for the guy beside him.

Daydreams of being Hell-king were interrupted by questions about Yogu. Things got muddied there. He'd been with the boy since the day he was born, making it difficult to determine what was the human and what was it sometimes. Though some things were most definitely Yogu, "Well, I don't think he knows about me. At least he pretends not to. If he did, he probably wouldn't be a fan of me if that's what you're getting at. Then again, the only reason he's still alive after all the fights he's picked is because of the strength that I give him." Monster sighs, "His mind is very... Childish. The guy's twenty and still refers to people as good guys and bad guys, talks about 'protecting the earth', if that gives you any idea."

Freeing himself from the boy? "Believe me, I would love to not be stuck in some hormonal cretin who'd rather go dumpster diving than get a job. If I were to try to separate myself now... We'd likely both die in the process. No, I need more power." His fists tighten and shake, "So I make him fight, slowly building my strength. And the barrier has been weakening, judging by what's happening here... Even then, the Konatsian sealing magic is strong. Without me, he might die- Half a soul to make room for being a good little vessel and all that." He relaxes, "So. You mentioned Lottus. Tell me what you know about him. He's on my shit list."

Monster laughs at the offer of the help of Warlocks. It hadn't put together entirely that Gandigan had magical ability until now. "Not too far off from the Kashvar yourself, in truth..." He mutters before raising his voice again, "You are correct, warlock. I need no help. Spells matter little when you are being gored by a monster's horn, heheh..." The conversation moved to Lottus, and the Namek was surprised at the lack of information on Monster's side, "The boy fought him once or twice, and was batted around like a fly. I don't like what that says about my chances..." He snarls, thinking about how easily his vessel was reduced to a bloody pulp by this... Super Saiyan. A monkey can change its hair color, and that's all it takes to surpass the strength of a Kashvar Monster?!

Gandigan's words didn't make it any easier to deal with for the creature. This Namek warrior had died by the man's very hands! As he destroyed an entire planet! Monster throws his hands up in the air and starts pacing, "Oh, COME ON! He's surpassed my every accomplishment! In just a few years! It's not FAIR!" The beast stomps the ground, and it quakes. "Stinking mortals! I nap for a couple hundred years, and suddenly, you're all planet destroyers! 'Most powerful in the universe!' Tch, it's ridiculous! Bastards need to be humbled..." Now he was being told this Lottus guy had his eye on Konats. Was his coveted spotlight about to get stolen? His home planet wiped out before he had the honor of doing it himself? Something had to be done!

He needed to... He needed to hit something! "YOU!" He screams, pointing a long black-taloned finger at the Namekian, "We are going to fight! A lot! Nothing personal! Can't help myself!" The beast jolts forward with surprising speed for his size, his fists going for ki-powered rib shots against the bigger ghostly foe before him. This was not a fight he could win, and it was one he had just about nearly avoided entirely. But, he couldn't help acting as his vessel would. Picking fights you can't win is a great way to regain that lost strength, after all.

It brought him great joy to see his claws cut through the visage of a mortal who dared to be more powerful than he. Still, it was just an illusion. The monster stands there, huffing and puffing with his shoulder hunched. Quite some anger was drawn out from that comment on the boy rubbing off on him. That and the comment of being asleep for too long. So long... No! The only thing in his heart was rage! As the Kashvar built him.

"Preposterous! Disgusting! I would sooner die than go the way of that wretch! He's a child that plays at being some fantastical hero. I've seen and slain plenty of those. And I will again..." He turns around, his outline becoming vague and shadowy, melding with the landscape and dissipating away. The creature was losing itself, quite literally. Its eyes still burned with an intensity, centuries of built-up rage visible. His energy wavers, something else reaching through momentarily to try to wrest control from Monster.

With Gandigan's words, the beast stands up straight, and his form becomes solid again. A grin on his face, proud of himself for pulling back from losing it entirely. Or had it been Yogu that stopped him? The thought suddenly crossed his mind, and it gave Monster the willies. He had too much going on right now up in the brain and down in the soul to be fighting Gandigan, "You're right, of course. I forget myself. Those with common enemies shouldn't fight." His smile widens evermore unnaturally, "We're allies, in a way. Aren't we? Perhaps a... Friendly brawl, as the boy calls it, wouldn't hurt? Who cares about the wormhole between life and death!" He had just decided he wasn't in the right mind for this! Oh, he just couldn't help himself. Monster had justified it in his mind enough to keep his assault going under the guise of it being friendly. He'd like to see the dead one try to hurt him anyhow! Another wave of decidedly less dangerous blows comes at Gandigan in an attempt at keeping up this facade of a spar. He needed to see just what these mortals were capable of nowadays!
