INITIALIZING.
DIAGNOSTICS CHECK.
FUNCTIONALITY CHECK.
SUB-ROUTINES ACTIVE.
PRIMARY ROUTINES ACTIVE.
ASSESSING CRITICAL SYSTEMS... SYSTEMS FULLY OPERATIONAL.
FULL DIAGNOSTICS COMPLETE.
It was sudden. Knowing nothing, seeing nothing - and now, seeing everything. Hearing everything. Knowing everything. The world appeared in the eyes of Delta Sentinel - a laboratory? No. Imperial Engineering, Division Seventeen. The Android knew this. It knew everything. It knew why it existed - it knew where it existed. It knew how it existed. But, it didn't exist before.
But now wasn't the time for philosophy - Delta Sentinel was active, and took in its first own view of the area. Highly advanced machines ran, purring smoothly as they conducted their work. Arcosians watched over their progress, and aliens of a hundred species moved about, earning their keep and maintaining the machines. One such Arcosian stepped up to the Android, looking them over and jotting notes down on a holographic device.
"Start up procedure seems to have gone as intended." the Arcosian said. "Parameters all in green. Good, good."
It would be several days before Delta would see the outside of this facility; having to undergo stressor trials and combat concepts. But soon, Delta would find itself looking out over the most grand city of all the Empire. Delta was the first of a new line in automated assault and defense units. The Empire was suffering from a lack of strength - their organic military spread too thin. Attacks against colonies, and rebellions, were beginning to tick up.
But Delta Sentinel, and all units that would be build off its superior design, would close the gaps.
