Lost Monument (Open)

The kami was a hawk. In this state, exhausting as it was, she went about righting more spur-of-the-moment wrongs in the world. Criminals were one thing, but to go out of her way to provide the farmers of the Eastern pastures a more bountiful harvest well past the summer with her own sunlit powers? That was something unexpected. Quick. And she did all of this thankless, moving across the landscape and dropping the enhanced rays of light on the farmlands with no one wiser. The few rural folks who watched her interment stopping and ritualizing would only see her as a speck so far up. The few times this raised concern among the law, she was far gone. And nothing dangerous came of her intervening.

Then came her old friends in the Korin Forest. Tribes much like her own still live within and take care of what is left of this sacred ground and what lay deeper within. The Lookout would be her next real goal. What aid she could offer the tribes, they would receive. Most recognized her in this form. It was a grounding second for her, being treated as a goddess before anything as her radiance asked more from the spiritually inclined. Jackie would not deny them their inclination to refer to her as such now, not while she offered extra rooms and new hunting gear. All are made with the solidified flame of the Sun Monk.

In the middle of producing these objects, her senses kicked in. Something nearby was going down, something wrong. Before she went to investigate, the sound of conventional arms up in the air sent her gaze to the tree line.

"Excuse me."
The moment Sen threatened the tribe he was around, that large presence would be on his ass like fly to shit. It was sudden, and to most, this interaction would have been no different from the many criminals she stopped who were mundane in power. A quick knockout and be done with it, no need to deal with the ugly mouth most of them had on them. But this one? Not only was he comparatively strong, but she could recognize him. Jackie lept right in front of the undisguised Tuffle and stared him down.

"Give me a reason why I shouldn't knock your lights out for threatening these good people."
Jackie's voice booms as she squints at Sen with those blazing eyes. Since the last time he had seen her, the wounds and blood covering her body had faded. Cleaned over the course of what seemed like a day or so. Even the clothing was repaired in pristine fashion like she didn't almost get mauled the last time by a saiyan.

With the villagers seemingly unharmed at this point and most recognizing Jackie beneath all the fire and literal hotheadedness, dispersing was hardly what they wanted to do. Many would stay and watch the kami stare down this smaller man. Proving smart enough to actively defuse the situation he found himself in, Jackie lets out a fist-clenching sigh. Those arms raise to tuck into a cross under her chest as the glare remains.

"Well, ya have my attention. Watch yourself next time, I don't take kindly to threats against good people to gather my audience. That ends in one of two ways for you. Consider yourself lucky I was clairvoyant here."
She warned, measured against the cool Sen seemed to try laying out to keep the situation friendly. To say she had a hair-trigger pull on any nonsense she deemed 'bad' for the health of others was an understatement. Those who resigned to watching the pair rather than continue on their business were no further bothered by Jackie in their spectating. She did not mind them snooping on her 'work' as it was.

As Sen explained himself, she remained quiet. The crackle of her flaming head and warmth of her radiating form accentuated her unusual silence. She was a raving barbarian in action, but she seemed calm and collected for the moment. It was almost as if she didn't sense the need to unleash her fury on anyone here now. And seeing as he was straight up apologizing for his meddling anyways, there was little need for continued aggression. Her arms tense as she cocks her head to the side. Looking to the forests and skies near the top of that canopy.

"He managed to live another day utilizing some dark duplicate. But I had him laid out. The message should be gotten across. It is sometimes the most you can do."
She scrunched her nose as the mention of Lottus and kept her gaze pointed away as sh tried thinking on this. "That begs the question. What the hell were YOU there for? I only vaguely remember your presence before you were knocked out. Turned around to see the other Saiyan had been crippled and killed by her supposed partner. Part of me is wondering if things would have gone smoother if you weren't there."
There was some weight in her booming voice. Even speaking conversationally it carried that presence to fill the air around her. And it was being used to insinuate that perhaps she didn't appreciate some of the actions taken there.

How long has it been since she's last shown her face to anyone, really?

She had lost track of time, bouncing from camp to camp that Jackie had set up, slinking behind the trees or beyond the horizon, always staying out of the view of anybody else, still hiding, awaiting for the appropriate time to make her eventual return. Sure, the defenders of Namek were still likely on that other planet, and everybody has done nothing but shown her kindness on her return trip to Earth, but still, she needed to be careful... at least, that's what she keeps telling herself, what she's said inside of her mind for oh so long. This was all about self preservation, and there was nothing else to think of. It was all for her safety, for if she were to perish in the end, who would ever carry out her ultimate plan? Her plan to... To...

It was useless, she couldn't keep all of those thoughts out of her mind. Being faced with such kindness and generosity despite what she's done, despite what she's planned to do, and it's all started to mess with her head. She just isn't used to feeling this way, and the majin didn't know how to deal with it. Every time she tried to approach someone like... like Jackie, she slinks back behind the brush, hiding away, like the coward she was, afraid of any true backlash which could result in her demise, despite how crazy that sounds in one part of her mind. Her paranoia only grew as time went on, her desire to see and interact overtaking her desire to stay safe and hidden away, and eventually, it was enough to make her come out of hiding.

As she has fully rested up at another one of Jackie's campsites, she couldn't help but feel a sudden surge in power close by where she was. She's felt quite a few of these surges already, but not one that felt so intensely familiar. Moire recognizes that aura from anywhere, and knows that it belongs to none other than Jackie, the one who cemented this internal conflict. After putting everything back together, the majin blasts off from her spot, heading straight towards the nearby tribal grounds. She had been here once before with Jackie, upon their very first encounter, but what was it that was making her power spark? It was a mystery she was far too curious to ignore.

The sight was... Interesting, to say the absolute least. The majin's eyes had spotted what appears to be several terrified villagers, all outside of their tents staring at a rather tense encounter going on. Of course, her gaze soon darts to the origins of this fear, being two individuals. The first appeared to be a red-haired man, and just from what Moire could sense right off the bat, she could tell that the two of them were about equal in strength. She had never met this stranger, but the other was someone she was far more familiar with. It was Jackie, though clearly from the shouting, the flames bellowing out from her body, and a power emanating from her body so intense it was giving Moire a migraine, the majin knew that she had come to stop this stranger... At least, that's what she thinks.

As she tries to float down, however, she hesitates in the air. It was Jackie down there, and she knew in her mind that she wouldn't do anything to her, but that power she felt... That overwhelming force... She hadn't encountered anyone with that kind of power since Namek, a thought that invites terrible memories of what had transpired, memories of almost facing the afterlife. Moire had frozen in place for a few brief seconds, her hand quaking a bit before she finally clenches her fist, sighing, and floating down slowly. If there's any sign of trouble, she can always just flee, just like how she has been for so long now... Right... "Jackie?" She speaks up as she floats down, "What... What is all of this?"

And that was the linchpin, really. There was more politicking going on that Jackie already involved herself in between the Saiyan King and Earth itself. This opened up a whole can of worms that ever trying to explain with a clear consciousness would prove impossible. For now, the tuffle would just get a head shake.

"I've come to some terms with the Saiyan King in order to maintain peace between the planets. I can offer refuge to the disaffected and victims of ongoing conflict, but I cannot actively conspire behind his back. You ask the face of Earth if she has a solution to your problem when I have no intentions of dragging Earth into this. Even just offering a strong soldier like you personal training puts into question my words. Not to mention we've had our hands tied dealing with rogue elements like the Majin Megis, like the Saiyan before, like that pirate Fukushu, for some time now!"
She wanted to make herself very clear, unfolding her arms and clenching her fists as the gaze of the angered spirit turned back to Moire. Her presence was tepid and anxious like she wasn't sure what to make of Jackie right now. Some would fear the wrath of the Earthling, but nobody present needs to worry about that. After rolling her neck and giving her a faithful nod, she'd unclench those fists.

"Right. Good Friends. Am I alright? I'm far better than alright. Sore, maybe! But I've never felt more alive. If only my people could see how I wield their rage now. Hah...!"

Moire didn't really know what to make of the whole situation from what she's hearing from both sides. The majin wasn't even close to being familiar with whatever politics concerned the people of Plant, though she does remember learning that the Saiyans came to the planet sometime while she slumbered. Even still, they were politics that had no concern with her, as she had nothing to do with it, nor did she have any intention on getting involved herself. She originally wrote the place off for her grand plan due to the ongoing war over there, and now that she was trying to keep to herself and stay hidden, it would be the last place she would be interested in going.

Even still, the conversation had enraptured both the stranger and Jackie, the two bickering with each other, harsh words and stinging quotes exchanged as Jackie attempts to maintain some form of neutrality while the stranger was angered about her relations to the king of the Saiyans. It was all quite a bit to try and wrap her head around, though her gaze does snap over to Jackie as she responds to Moire's original inquiry as to her current condition. She claims to feel better than ever, being able to wield her rage so effectively, but there in lies a bit of the issue: Her rage. "Rage... What has happened to you, Jackie? And... I don't believe your fury is, well... Necessary."

Her gaze snaps back over towards the stranger, as he barks over at Moire, accusing her of being a friend of the saiyan king, sparing this man named Lottus, someone she herself wasn't even familiar with either. "What? I'm staying out of this whole ordeal. I don't know about this saiyan king or this Lottus or whatever is happening on Plant. Whatever it is that Jackie has going on over there, it's her business, not mine. I'm only concerned about the well being of... of..." She falls silent.
