GENERAL INFORMATION
NAME: Vicori Papremelosum
ALIASES: Vic, Cori, Little Star
AGE: 19
GENDER: Female
COMPANION TYPE: Minion
SPECIES: Heryan (Alien)
> Alien Prowess - Full Sauce: You start with the Max Power technique for free during character creation. In addition, Max Power no longer drains momentum, and you can gain up to 1 MP per turn.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
APPEARANCE: Just cresting six feet in height, Vicori is a young woman whose hybrid heritage is plain to see. Taking more after her mother at a glance, she has bright cyan skin and a sharpness to her features that might seem intense if not for her doe-eyed look. Her hair is in an undercut, growing in an orange flame on her scalp while the sides are a decidedly Saiyan black. Most indicative of her descent is her simian tail, its fur striped orange and brown.
Adopting the blended styles of her parents, she wears a breastplate of Saiyan make with dark grey plates and brown straps overtop a black, sleeved bodysuit with cuffed wrists. From the waist down, Vicori prefers a dark red skirt of ankle length, striped with darker shades at the hem. Unlike those typical of battle armour, her travelling boots are dark, buttoned and add a couple of inches to her height. She has a single silver piercing in her left ear, depicting a star with seven points.
BACKGROUND: Looking back, Vicori could not say that she’d ever known danger in her life. In fairness, the strongest people in the whole world of Derisin were her family, the Papramelosum Saiyans. Though she was never one to be brought along and aid in protecting the people from pirates and the like, her childhood was filled with stories of the family’s exploits. Her grandaunt especially had many to tell of no matter how many times she asked.
Though enamoured by tell of the family’s legend and proud of her father, she always had a gnawing curiosity. What kind of woman was her mother before adopting this life? Father had told her many times that he was only her second strongest parent, that no harm would come to her so long as either were around. How could that be? Besides instructing her daughter in self defense — and being very hands off about it — Inga had never done a thing to prove her rumoured strength. Vicori would occasionally prod, and they’d even make a game of it, making increasingly elaborate explanations and tall tales of how powerful her mother was. Never did she get a straight answer, and it was one of few things she’d ever heard her parents argue about when they thought she couldn’t hear.
Regardless, Vicori led a life wanting for little. The mystery that was her mother’s past didn’t bother her, for she was loved exceptionally in the present. Even when her brave, kind father lied ill until he passed, her mother broke free of her icy attitude to offer warm words that kept her going.
Things slowed following Promur’s death. Vicori heard fewer stories as she worked the farm, as many other Papramelosums grew infirm or departed the world themselves. It was sad to watch them go, but she held out, growing into early adulthood. Little did she know that she was experiencing the calm before the storm. A stranger found them on their land, calling to Inga with familiarity and hatred. Confused and frightened, Vicori was paralyzed when the two Herans lunged for each other, watching her mother draw blood for the first time in all her life. The hours to follow were a blur. A forlorn Inga burned their house to the ground, led Vicori by the hand and insisted that they had to leave.
Vicori watched from a window as they departed their home, dimly absorbing the explanation of who her mother had been and what she’d come from. Inga apologized for misleading her daughter, who in turn had nothing to say for the longest time as they rocketed through space.
