Lessons II (Gira)

The young Saiyan would not have much time to put up her guard, let alone build enough energy to defend herself. In mere moments, Gandigan had set upon her again with a flurry of brutal strikes with his claws, shredding her arms and making them bleed as she put them up to defend her more vulnerable areas. Gira grit her teeth before lashing out with her foot, aiming to catch her sensei in the chin and interrupt his assault, if only briefly. Regardless, the Saiyan's next move would be decisive. As fast as she could, the Saiyan teen leaped into the air and fired a ki blast directly in front of him before gracefully arcing through the air and landing on the opposite side, sticking the landing and posing with her arms directly up in the air. She wasn't done yet, however. Straightening her posture and placing her arms at her side, Gira kicked off of the ground. The young warrior shot herself in Gandigan's direction like a bullet, aiming to slam her head directly into the center of his back. It wasn't much, but it would be enough to buy her some time to gather her power if she was lucky. She was bleeding heavily from her arms and chest, and while she knew Gan-sensei's power eclipsed hers by several times, it wasn't in Gira's nature to lose easily.

Gira took the brief opportunity she had to catch her breath. At her sensei's advice, she nodded and smiled. "Yes, sensei. I understand." The young warrior readied herself. She was ready. It was time to launch an assault of her own. She had to be careful though. Taking that last attack had left her in a compromised position. She was still bleeding and fatigue had begun to take its toll. If she was going to win this, now was the time to really take a step towards victory. Tensing her muscles, they swelled with power as a green aura enveloped the young Saiyan's body. As her sensei charged in her direction, Gira let out a roar in direct challenge to him, raising her energy to its maximum and cupping her hands at her side. "Ka... me..."  When Gandigan slashed his claws across her shoulder, Gira smirked and made a grab for his arm before attempting to pull him in and headbutt him, following up by attempting to kick him away again. If successful, she would fly up into the air, cupping her hands at her side once again and preparing to unleash her newest and most powerful technique. "Ha... me..." She had used a weaker version before to give her sensei an idea of what it can do, but this was her technique taken to its most powerful. Throwing her hands out in Gandigan's direction, The young warrior fired her move. "HA!!!" The beam that came forth from her palms was far larger than before, and packed a ton more power behind it.

Gira remained still as a shadow, her eyes locked on the cloud of dust and debris that presumably contained her sensei. As the dust cleared, she finally saw the extent of the damage she did. Her sensei was on the ground, looking like someone soaked him in a tub of hot oil until he was fried crispy. She even thought she could smell his flesh from up here and it made her nauseous. Still, she couldn't help but be happy about showing off her strength to the Mazoku King. Gira had gotten this strong to prove herself to herself, but she also really wanted to prove to her sensei that she was a worthy student. That the lessons he taught her didn't just go in one ear and out the other. She laughed breathlessly when her sensei mentioned how that one hurt. "Sorry, sensei. Got a little carried away. I was just looking forward to showing you what I can really do. I call that one a "Serious Kamehameha." Fitting name, right?" She grinned, proud of herself. Unfortunately, it was in that moment when she had her guard down when Gandigan decided to strike. Expending so much energy at once also made her briefly sluggish, making this attack all the more easy. Flying up towards her, Gandigan grabbed a hold of the Saiyan. Taken aback, Gira struggled against his grip. However, her attempt would come too late, and both she and Gandigan were sent flying into the rocks below them.

The stones shattered against Gira's body as she let out a pained roar, quickly attempting to lash out with a kick to get a tiny bit of space between her and Gan before holding her palms out towards his chest and charging a huge ball of ki between the two of them, firing it off in his direction.

"Don't worry too much, Gira. You should know what I'm capable of at this point."

Boy, did she. Just thinking about the time she experienced his full power still makes her sore. "I know, sensei. I couldn't actually hurt you. That's why I feel comfortable throwing that much power at ya. Still, that looked pretty gnarly." As expected, her sensei began to regenerate a good amount of the damage she had dealt to him. Being Namekian and having the ability to regenerate had to be pretty sweet. With a smile, Gira readied herself for the bout to continue. Instead of rushing her again, however, he decided to make his next play from a distance, forming a disc of ki in his hand and launching it directly at her. Gira would recognize this technique, or at least a technique that was similar. She had recently developed an understanding of the Kienzan, an energy disc that could slice through nearly anything. While this technique appeared slightly different, she knew that it was definitely dangerous regardless. Flying down in an attempt to avoid it. However, she cursed under her breath as she noticed it begin chasing her. Gira knew there was no hope trying to avoid it through conventional means. She had two options; tank it, or fight back. Vanishing from her spot, she reappeared a fair distance away. Just far enough to give her the time she needed. Cupping her hands at her side, she charged a Kamehameha to respond to her sensei's technique. "HAAA!!!" Throwing out her hands, she attempted to overcome Gan's attack with a technique of her own.

Gira swelled with pride at her most respected mentor's praise. "Sensei...!" Her eyes filled with tears. Had she really been underestimating herself this entire time? It was true that she was practically a completely different person since experiencing what she did on Planet Namek. Her power had nearly doubled in this short time and all she did was throw herself headlong into training and battle with the purpose of using it to get as strong as possible. Her growth was especially evident if she compared herself now to how she was during the attempted demonic invasion of West City. She may have actually managed to defeat Chervii if she had this power back then! During that battle, her power appeared unsurmountable. Gira learned an important lesson then; that she was capable of overcoming any limit. Whether this was due to her DNA as a Saiyan or her own tenacity, she had no idea. It could even be a mix of both. Looking at her sensei with renewed vigor, she let out a roar as a verdant green aura erupted around her. "I'm gonna keep making you proud, sensei! I promise!" When the Mazoku King dug his hands into the ground, Gira recognized the maneuver immediately. Last time they trained, this tactic messed her up good. She was ready this time, though. The young warrior grinned, moving quickly backwards in midair and avoiding the Namekian’s grasp just in time. She didn’t move too far away though, because she had an idea for a counterattack. Making a grab for his wrists with both of her hands. "Yoink!" She would then attempt to fly upwards, trying to pull him through the ground and in her direction before spinning around towards him and aiming a left hook at Gandigan’s jaw.

Gira aims a non-KP attack at Gandigan!

The moment of celebration that Gira would have to appreciate her growth wouldn't last long. Gandigan was nothing if not persistent, firing an attack of epic proportions in her direction. Firing ki blast after ki blast in her direction, the young warrior was quite taken aback at the sudden ferocity of it all. At the same time, however, she was excited that her sensei was using such a powerful technique against her. It was almost like a more subtle way of acknowledging her ability. There was only one course of action open to her now. Forming a pyramid with her fingers in front of her chest, she called on her ol' reliable. "Banzai Bubble!" The translucent bubble of ki formed around her as usual, holding out strong against the heavy bombardment. It wasn't going to hold out forever, though. Eventually, it would shatter under the force of the technique. Indeed, after a few moments of holding out, the orb shattered and Gira was subjected to the downpour of energy. Covering her vitals as best she could, the young Saiyan was subjected to the ravages of her sensei's attack. That was when she saw an opportunity. Using her Antisense to conceal her power, Gira attempted to quickly move behind Gandigan, spinning around into a powerful kick aimed for the back of his head with the intent of sending him downward toward the ground.
