Gandigan's visit to Plant had been illuminating in more ways than one. The Saiyan monarch had it's ups and it's downs; he wasn't sure if it was really the best model to learn from, but there weren't really a whole lot of options either. He had wanted to check out Arcose as well, but time wouldn't permit another detour. Gandigan needed to head back to Namek and put the rest of his plans in motion as they were now closing in on just two weeks until he made his claim to the Mazoku throne.
A check in with Marimba would have good, but other things took priority. The first thing Gandigan did after getting out of his ship was travelling to the old castle ruins, ignoring the urges to check in with his Mazoku allies. There were other, more powerful allies than he was thinking about now; their wills needed to be tested.
Gandigan had made a lot of changes to his plans, which was evident but the many markings across the courtyard grounds. Gandigan had drawn, then erased, then re-drawn several times over in the dirt, trying to come up with something that satisfied him. The most recent plans created with Apexle were probably the final iteration, taking the region from a bustling city he had envisioned with Nero to a impregnable fortress which would stand tall and formidable for centuries to come.
It wasn't what he had agreed upon with Nero, or Mollusc, or Treses or even Jango which is what he was afraid of. What if they decided to abandon him? What if they decided to fight against him? None of that was even to mention his idea of crowning himself King; it would make all of his plans appear self interested, as though he was attempting to play them for his own personal gain. But after all that they had gone through together Gandigan didn't want to believe that they would turn their backs on him so soon.
He believed in his ideals, and he believed that if they were to hear him out they might still believe in him too. Really from his own perspective what he wanted wasn't all that different to what he had preached before: unity, just in a different way. A way which respected the old customs while also taking aspects of new ones. It was more of a compromise that he had initially intended, but after spending more time among his brothers he had come to realize that a compromise may be best, else he risked losing them all.
Nero was the most powerful of his allies, not just in fighting ability but also in terms of his influence. As the Guru of Namek, Nero was vital in making his plans come to fruition. Without his support would it still be possible to become King? Probably. But if he choose to oppose Gandigan's leadership? It would be over before it even began. Nero would probably have the aid of Zhalla as well as Mollusc; Gandigan and Marimba alone couldn't hope to stand against them. Nero needed to support him in this.
As long as he had Nero on his side, the others would most likely fall in line; he couldn't imagine Zhalla or Mollusc fighting against the both of them. And Jango? She was a wildcard. She claimed to fight for money, but without knowing her very well Gandigan couldn't really say for sure. She seemed like the type to bounce in the face of a real struggle, and he was more than capable of giving her that on his own.
But the time to re-evaluate things with the others would come after he spoke to Nero again. He hadn't spoken to the Guru in about a month, when he first came back to Namek. He was one of the first people he had spoken to then, and he wanted to keep that trend going. They had met far from the Outer Plait the last time, but Gandigan figured something closer to the project was more suitable this time around. He reached out to Nero telepathically from the open courtyard.
"Nero. This is Gandigan speaking. I told you that I would reach you with an update the last time we spoke. I'm sorry that took so long. As it turns out... a lot has changed since we last spoke. Many important developments have been made in that time and It's imperative that we speak as soon as possible. I'll feel more comfortable telling you these things in person, where it'll be harder for people to intercept our speech. Please come as quickly as you can."
