King. What did it mean to be a King? It was a question Gandigan had asked himself over and over again on the passage to Konats. Not something he would share with Marimba, out of fear of showing too much weakness to the Mazoku, but sometimes he wished he had; asking himself over and over again didn't give him any answers. When he original came up with the idea to build a city, he didn't envision himself ruling. Leadership had been vague in his mind, and something to sort out later.
But now he was preparing to thrust himself into ruling, and not just over one city but all of the Mazoku kind. How many were there in total? Probably more than either the Dragons and Warriors, if you could unite them all. All under his leadership... what would he do with them? Rule. Unite. Strengthen. There were some ideas there, rolling around in his mind, but they needed more time to mature.
After landing, Gandigan secured himself some free time so that he could think on his future more. The Namekian flew down to the city of Vynh, where he made his way into the grand castle which once acted as the seat of the Konatsian monarchy which had been absent for as long as he had known Konats. Since then the planet had been governed by a number of petty lords, none of which have dared try to claim the throne for themselves.
He thought maybe the castle would provide some guidance to him; perhaps he could learn from the actions of past monarchs. Or maybe he just needed to... exist in this atmosphere. Maybe that could help make him feel more comfortable with this path. The throne room brought with it a chill down his spine, as though something was telling Gandigan he didn't belong. Now was the time to be brave; a King must be brave, for himself and his people.
He walked forward into the empty room, stopping only once reaching the throne itself. From afar it looked grand, yet up close it was like an abyss just waiting to suck him in. He gave each direction a quick glance, making sure he was alone before sitting down slowly, taking everything in.
