Haupien had tasked Durian with trying to create his own scouter, so that's exactly what the boy had done. Fishing through garbage bins and sewers didn't provide him with much in the way of spare parts, but eventually he was able to scrounge together enough electronics to build a scouter of his own. It wasn't quite as pretty as Haupien's was, with rusted metal and a few exposed wires here and there, but in the end it got the job done.
The first thing he did with it was send a message out to the Konatsian, letting him know where he was. "Haupien? Hear me? Durian. Found lead. Need help. Can't do alone. Wait for you out... here? Large building. Industrial. Building. Spacecraft? Not sure. Can sense Durian. Wait for you, here."
The Tuffle boy was standing outside of an industrial looking building. From inside he could sense a good deal of power levels, and peaking through a window he spotted many different Saiyans wielding steel. Although he couldn't quite figure out what is was exactly that they were making, he had to assume it was something massive given the size of the warehouse.
His scouter beeped while he was in the marketplace, looking once again at the vanity sunglasses. Would the look be too much? He had never really cared for fashion or even looks but that didn’t mean he wanted to completely give up on it. He sighed, putting them back down as he listened to the message. He raised an eyebrow-for no one’s benefit but his own- surprised at the boys speed. They hadn’t been in the city long before Durian had handed him back his scouter, apparently content with the examination and ready to create his own. Haupien had decided to stay around the market, just in case any difficulties had come up and Durian couldn’t contact him remotely, but he had managed it without issue- or atleast with little enough issue to avoid noteworthy impact.
Although the market was constantly full of people, and plenty of them having a sizable wealth, Haupien hadn’t found anything yet. He sent back a quick message, taking a moment to construct the sentence in a form Durian would easily understand. ”Haupien be there soon,” he decided on. If anyone overhead him they avoided giving him an odd look, his sword displayed prominently at his side and his power level not hidden- not that he could hide it.
Instead of taking off into the sky with a dramatic leap, he began walking. His route was an odd, weaving and winding between dark alleys and side streets wreathed in shadow, as he repeatedly mysteriously vanished into the darkness, appearing closer to his destination.
Once he had gotten close enough, his scouter picked up Durian’s power and guided him the rest of the way. Soon he spotted Durian waiting for him, and finished his short trip. He nodded to him, glancing at the jurry rigged scouter. It didn’t look fancy, but the fact that he had built it himself was impressive. ”Good job on scouter,” he said as a greeting. He looked towards the building, a scattering of not insignificant power levels inside. ”Sword?” he asked Durian. He wasn’t sure exactly what type of lead this was, or the impression they got. Waltzing in with a sword gripped in both hands would prove a great help in one scenario, and could be… not so great if they would otherwise be friendly.
Durian plopped down on the pavement below, patiently waiting for Haupien to arrive. When he could feel the Konatsians power incoming he hopped back to his feet, twisting and turning as he tried to get a good view of where he was. Haupien came in with a compliment with his scouter, to which Durian nodded his head. "Yes. Not easy. Parts hard." The scouter was now strapped to his head, though he still preferred to sense with his mind.
The Tuffle looked over to Haupien's sword, and once again nodded his head. "Yes. Sword. Hunt." Durian smiled. What Haupien didn't know is that the two of them were actually in the middle of a chase. Durian had been walking the streets when a man very clearly recognized him. As the hybrid tried to approach this man he ran, giving Durian no choice but to follow after him.
Durian chased the man to this section, but wanted to wait for Haupien to arrive before going on. "Man here. We hunt." At that moment a scream rang through the air. Durian looked back into the building where he saw someone running; it looked as through the man burnt himself while not paying attention to where he was going. The boy hopped up and down when he saw his prey. "Hunt! Got him!" Without warning Durian broke through the window and gave chase.
He smiled at the scouter, a sense of pride beaming through him. Despite not having known for Durian very long, he already felt attached- probably too attached. He'd have to take a close eye on it- even if he was taking in the lost soul, that didn't mean he should hamper himself or risk himself in the process. Even as he thought it, he felt his heart rumble, fighting against the cold logic.
He readied his blade. Hunt indeed. From the levels of power he could detect with his scouter, the local power levels might be able to threaten Durian but would be easily beaten himself. It wouldn't be fair fight. The only options anyone they faced down had were to run or resort to other tricks. The desperation of prey. Of course, Mayze was able to supress the power he emitted, and Raiya was completely undetectable. If this were some sort of trap, it'd still be a hunt- but the reverse. The two of them would be put on the backfoot and forced to escape.
Suddenly a scream rang through the air and Durian exclaimed before rushing forward. Haupien smiled, waiting a moment, before leaping into the air. He soared after Durian, a quick swipe of his sword charged with ki powdering the jagged shards of glass left behind on the window by Durian's entrance, rolling as he landed. As he came out of the roll he let out a wide slash, cutting into a few guards who prepared to aim at the pair, and letting off a thin wave of energy that knocked others onto the ground.
Durian allowed Haupien to take care of anyone who would dare give chase. Considering the Konatsian's power level he was a bit surprised that anyone bothered, but the Saiyans were a hardy bunch. Durian's sole concern was the man he was hunting; the man who might have some answers for his questions. He pushed his way past the few who dared to step in his way, before making it out the other end of the building and back into the open.
Durian had been walking through the streets, accosting anyone he could in the hopes that they might have some information regarding his family. He held up his armor piece for them to see, which was pretty much the only thing he had left from his family, but still no one claimed to have any information.
He was on the verge of giving up when the same man he was chasing got sight of him. Right away Durian could tell that the man recognized him, though Durian never got the chance to ask. As they met eyes the man sprinted off, forcing the boy to follow after him. But Durian was an adept hunter, and he had by now caught onto the man's scent. Continuing the chase, Durian was able to force the man into a dead end, tackling him to the ground. "Answer now!"
