Back in South City, Megis was trying to tie up some loose ends. For some reason, Megis had been afraid of Ramen and Bing coming after him... but why? They were so much weaker than he was, as proven by their battle at the old Lookout ruins, so why run? There was the chance that they would try and tell others what had happened, but he had destroyed all possible evidence of that; it was their word against his, and who would choose those two bozos other Megis?
No. It was time to be proactive. It was time to get on the hunt. He was going to find Ramen and Bing, no matter where the two tried to hide. Sensing their power levels would likely prove fruitless as the two were smart enough to know how to suppress their energy. If he was going to locate them, he was going to require a little aid.
Megis stood within one of a few Dojo's he had constructed around South City; not the largest, which he had given to that Majin oaf, but it'd do fine enough. Using his telepathy he would reach out to the citizens of South City and begin his search. "Greetings, citizens of the South. Do not worry; this is only Megis: your lovable presidential candidate! The reason why I am speaking to you today is to address the rumors you may have heard recently."
Ramen had made her announcement, so he was making his. "You may have heard of battle took place in the ruins of the old Lookout involving myself... which is true! But not in the way that you have heard it said." There were two ways he could try and play this: aggressive, or kind. Megis first tried kind, as he expected that the people of Earth would be more receptive of what he had to say.
"The woman who you heard in your heads, or have heard about from friends who did hear her was a warrior named Ramen, who fought alongside another named Bing. On that day they fought against a Majin, but this was not Megis. Now, I know that many of my kind may look a like, but this is no excuse for the confusion. As it happens, I showed up to save Ramen and Bing from this other, terrible Majin warrior. With Ramen and Bing so badly beaten by this foul being they were in a state of shock and confusion, and mistook me for the enemy."
Megis let out a few fake tears, loud enough to be heard through his telepathy. "In my good heart I have found some degree of forgiveness of this mistake, and I wish to thank Ramen and Bing for their heroics. Having suffered such substation injuries, I would expect to find them in hospitals or the like. Please, if you have seen them then come to one of my Dojos with their precise location and let me know, so that they can receive the reward that they deserve."
Clearing his throat, he continued. "Now that we have that out of the way, there is some more business to take care of. While you know of the terrible accords that Derry has put into place in an effort to stop alien invaders, what you may not know is that they have failed again in the west. We need something new, which is why I wish to found an Earth Defense Force. Now, until I actually become president I won't have the funds or legislative ability to put anything into place yet. However If you wish to express interest then again come to my Dojos and you can sign right on up as an early member!"
