On the Road Again (Mayze)

So the alien was holding back power? Just how much the saiyan wondered. He hadn't been able to get a glimpse on Raiya's ki at all. There was a complete absence of energy from Raiya. The saiyan knew that he was strong, clearly. One attack had nearly done him in. It puzzled Mayze though, the alien was clearly a living being, and from the sounds of it was somehow hiding his ki.

The saiyan stood straight, gingerly nursing an arm as he relaxed for a moment. He let the anger and frustration he felt towards Raiya leave him as he calmly spoke, "I'm interested to know how you're hiding your energy. I've seen others do it, but this is different. There's a complete absence of it from you," he shook his head, "I can pick up on someone's energy even if it's the same level as your measly average human."

"You're right though," Mayze shifted, a look of concentration appearing on his face as he tapped into the latent potential with him, "I have been holding back," A blue aura flared into place around the warrior as his energy climbed. Small bits of rubble from the tavern began to levitate from the ki radiating off the man as wind patterns subtly shifted from the energy. A red tinge highlighted his aura, becoming more intense, and eventually displacing the blue as his energy reached its apex.

The levitating rubble fell to the ground with a small patter as Mayze straightened, red aura still flaming around him. His breaths were heavy, and a bead of sweat dripped down his forehead. Still, he felt rejuvenated even as the frustration he felt from earlier came roaring back to the surface.

Mayze's tone held an edge to it as he piped up, "Alright, let's see what you've got!"
