Gandigan's mission to recruit Mazoku was going off with mixed success. Treses's help had been greatly appreciated, but not every Mazoku was interested in change. He could only handle so much of their scorn, so he decided to take a break and move onto a different part of his vision. He wanted to construct a great road system, similar to what he had seen on Earth, which lead from Dend into the Outer Plait. Along that road he planned to build watch towers to make sure they were safe for all travelers.
From the ancient castle, Gandigan walked a thousand steps, placing down a small pillar to make the spot. He continued his march for all the morning, and every thousand steps he placed another pillar. The pillars would be where he placed his watch towers, which would be large enough to see above the trees, and wide enough to hold two Namekian warriors.
Upon nearing the edge of the Outer Plait, Gandigan decided he needed a break. Sitting down and leaning against one of his pillars, he took a short nap. He dreamt of grand things to come. Of his new city which would unite his people, and of the future they might achieve should his plans prove successful. Those pleasant dreams were interrupted when he felt a force moving through the skies. "Wha... who goes there?" Looking up, he spotted a smoky trail indented in the clouds.
An off-world traveler? Out here? He expected that anyone visiting Namek would want to land in the space port near Dend. Maybe their ship was malfunctioning? He recalled his own experience of trying to travel back to Namek, having crash landed on that horrid unnamed world. If he was right then they could be danger... if they weren't bringing the danger themselves. He didn't want to risk an innocent being harmed by any prejudice, so Gandigan trailed the vessel, waiting to see if it needed his help.
