Tambo's PL: 5'000
A cool breeze whistled past the Namekian’s ears, its cold touch a sensation he had not felt in a while. Far from the dampness of his cave, from the dryness of the raging inferno in which he smelted the precious metal ores and its scorching heat, Tambo took a moment to appreciate the sensation, closing his eyes as he felt the wind on his skin. The harshness of the sun blinded him momentarily and he needed some time to grow accustomed to that level of light.
Today, he had no finished piece to deliver, no measurements to make. On this day, he would not show his faith to Lord Porunga through sweat and heat. Instead, he would go on a pilgrimage to the Guru’s home village and pay his respects.
Though their spiritual leader had gone on to the otherworld, his magic could be sensed all around. Though his physical body had passed on, his soul -or at least, part of it- remained ingrained within Namek herself. This power would help nature flourish, it would see the children grow, it would be part of their life. Thus, the hindsight, Guru was still among them, only in a different form. Therefore, Tambo did not grieve. Instead, he would go pay his respects and wish him the best in the world beyond.
Following him was a chubby little red dragon, flapping its wings behind him, marveled by the world around him. Sometimes distracted by the likes of bugs and frogs, but never enough to grow too distanced to Tambo. It took several days to reach the village, as Tambo insisted on traveling strictly on foot, taking breaks only to drink or converse with other Namekians. He could feel some anxiety among his peers, his skin color being mistaken for a member of the Mazoku clan. It was true that tensions had been present for the longest of time and the passing of their former leader did give birth to some real concerns. Still, he believed their faith would herald the next leader and, if anything, these darkened times could be a catalyst for a brighter future.
As he entered the village of the Grand Elder, fellow Namekians were quick to get out of their houses to gather around him. A known face among his clan, they didn’t harbor any prejudice or hatred to him by virtue of his physical differences. As he placed his hammer on the ground, Tambo got to his knees, right before the place where the elder lived. Though he would not enter the building, he could still feel the strong magical energy residing within the place. He took a few minutes to pray, wishing his soul a good rest and hoping that free of his mortal coil, the elder could do as in his younger years.
Nearby, Sihai was playing with Namekian children, the red dragon flying around them as they tried to catch him. Letting them to their games, Tambo addressed the people present.
“Fellow brothers, I have come to pay my respects to our leader. Although his departure is a big loss for all of us, I firmly believe that our faith in Lord Porunga will keep us safe until a new leader is chosen. These are tumultuous times, but we must stay strong…and above all, we must stay united. Some of you may think me a fool for proposing such a thing, but I believe it would be in our best interest to hear out members of the Mazoku clan…Try to find some common ground, a place for compromise. Without giving up our ways, find a place for them as well…for they are our brothers still, despite the differences.”
Awaiting reactions to his sudden proposal, the Namekian stood silent. It was a rather strange proposal and even Tambo who was a devout follower of Porunga did not exactly know how to go about it. For all he knew, the Mazoku clan had forsaken their leader and god to pursue dark powers. What could have made them choose this path? This was what he wanted to know.
OOC: Open to everyone, I don't know yet if I'll place a limit on entry. Fellow Namekians and strangers are welcome!
