Work was work. Raiya never intended to get bogged down on Plant for long, and as soon as he heard about what that insane Saiyan was trying to do he had every intention of leaving, but an offer to irresistible had come up. As he was about to leave a figure approached him, and spoke of a simple job: kill a lone Konatsian. Assassinations were a mercenaries bread and butter, though he had mostly worked in open combat for the past few years, it wasn't a skill easily forgotten.
The target? Haupien they called him, though why they wanted him dead they wouldn't give away. That wasn't uncommon with this sort of work, though usually there were hints you could pick up on, if you knew where to look. A vile tongue meant it was personal, a greedy smile meant business. But this time? Nothing. Not a single drop of emotion lay anywhere on the man's face as he handed Raiya the image of this Konatsian. That immediately peaked his interested, though he knew better than to ask. These were the sorts of people with many friends in many places.
Konatsians were rare targets. Powerful for sure, but Raiya had little experience with them. They didn't often leave their home of Konats, which only made it more curious as to why he was here, and why so much money was being offered to take him out. He took the care package; an image, a brief description, a few known locations, before watching the man skulk off into the shadows. That one wouldn't ever talk, no matter what sort of beating Raiya put on him, but Haupien? Maybe he could shed some light on things.
Something had been bugging Raiya for a long time now. Verglas had been an old Arcosian, but even then Raiya expected decades more from him. The one doctor who actually agreed to speak with him mentioned a natural death, but something seemed off about the conversation, and he was never able to get in touch with him again. Verglas had his share of enemies, and if someone had taken him out, it was as professional a job he had ever seen. Which was why he was happy to take the job, despite the risk of staying on Plant. This organization; it was a lead. Maybe he was way off, but a lead was better than nothing.
An hour later and he was in the capital, showing off the image he had been given to the locals. A risky strategy, but Raiya was short on time and he needed to get his hands on this Konatsian quickly. "Haupien. Yes, he's a Konatsian. I doubt you've seen their kind before so he'd probably stick out. You seen him or not?" Raiya said the same thing to each Saiyan he passed, waiting for a hit.
