In Central City, it was starting to be another peaceful evening in the residential district. Lu was baking ooey-gooey bars with her father at home, resting after a long day at school. The young hero’s mother laid back in the living room, enjoying the evening news with her feet propped up on the coffee table. It was the first day Lu had taken off from hero business for a few days and the catch up on family stuff was always a joy. Little did she know, but her parents were glad she wasn’t out and about tonight, for her recent escapades landed her in quite the difficult place.
However, the peace could never be held for long. When that moment of prosperity wavered, it came time for the bunny hero to rise once more. Today, that uncertainty came from the news, where the anchor mentioned a sighting of the runaway convict who had recently broken from prison. The police were struggling to find any new clues, but it was evident that if a hero were to start looking, this criminal might turn up. Lu overheard the entire story, her parents know she did too. The young bunny’s eyes were lit up like Christmas lights, shining bright enough to blind someone. Despite their hesitancy, they knew this meant too much to the young girl, sending her off to the last known location with a puffy jacket and her sword.
At the scene, police officers already stood on guard in case this “Kong” bad guy came through again. As she knew how Police tried to stop her when she tried to investigate crimes, Lu simply jumped over the cops and ran off into the woods, warranting a few yells for her to come back, as well as a few officers to run in after, only never to find her. About five miles in, Lu came to a stop in a clearing. From here, the bunny figured she could use her keen senses to catch anything that moved. It also gave Lu a bit of time to become familiar with the location around her.
The forest was full of pines and spruce truces, mostly darker, more cold adept trees that made up this forest. The floor of the forest was patched with snow, as was familiar with the north. It must have been getting close to the edge of the mountains or a natural cave, because breaking in the snow was met with stone rather than dirt or grass. The animals in the area, though most had run away at the sight of the bunny, were small in nature. Birds, squirrels, bunnies, all of which were quite noisy and muffled a lot of the surrounding sound, but it wasn’t like the sounds of a person couldn’t be easily identified. If this area didn’t work, Lu would simply try again in another area about half mile out, trying again and again to put her ears to the test.
