Chomeis face scrunched, looking at Alva with bemused eyes. He really didnt know what to think of the metallic warrior... Just like a demon, she went around doing whatever she pleased!
Turning back to Vale, he listened intently. Thankfully, not a single word of 'fun' escaped the man's lips. In fact, much to Chomei's surprise... He found that the man was actually rather reasonable. He spoke of some red-head guardian—Who he was talking about, Chomei had not the faintest clue—But this mysterious figure had apparently trusted Vale with his task. That wasn't worth much on its own—He'd met one too many liars in his life—Yet as Vale went on... Chomei found himself pitying the man. He'd gone one by one, addressing the shrinking group. He thanked the bug man... Robot? whatever he was... And then turned his attentions on him.
Chomei crossed his arms as Vale spoke. He hadn't been there when the fighting started, had barely paid this man any attention, his full focus having been on the duo whom he'd assumed was at fault for the portal. Vale denied he was a demon, and spoke of how he tended to the universe in the background as a shinjin. He said it so casually, as though it were the most obvious thing... That were it not for the grandness of his statements, Chomei might've believed him. As he finished, he muttered— "If I ever meet them... sure,"
He became vaguely aware of Kim's presence at his side; She had wearily limped up to him. She then questioned the Shinjin about the sheer demonic energies they'd all felt, and Chomei felt himself nod with approval. He hadn't even thought about it... But promptly, Vale began to answer her. He spoke of big grand concepts, in line with what he'd said previously... and try as he might, Chomei couldn't really punch any holes in what he said. As far as he knew, Vale spoke the truth. It made a vague amount of sense to him... Magic was fully real, after all. Yet... Something seemed off.
These revelations brought up other issues, however. Assuming they were true... This place was dangerous. Very dangerous. He started to think on it... and while he did so, Kim decided that the whole place should be blown to kingdom come. The bug robot quickly confronted her, trying to advocate caution. He brought up that such matters were not theirs to make, and Chomei agreed. She looked to him, and he shook his head, "The bug dude's right, With magic... Anything can happen. Anything. We might accidentally open this portal permanently, or maybe it'll expand and consume the universe," It was a bit outlandish, but he felt that it got his point across. "We should just leave it be..."
"I don't know how one would go about calling the president... Or this guardian fellow... But I know a gal who might be even more helpful" He said, unknowingly referring to the very guardian herself. "She's like a magic person, very powerful also. Im sure she'd know what to do... Or at least, she'd have a better idea than us. Y'know... assuming he's telling the truth" Chomei explained... Though it occurred to him that he also had no clue how to contact her. Best I keep that to myself, He decided quietly.
"... Look, the point is... let's not do anything rash until we—" He was cut off by Alva, who had become fed up. Having been left sorely unconvinced. She pointed him out specifically, worried that he would gullibly eat up the Shinjins every word. Her tirade ending, she launched herself at the sitting shinjin. Frowning, Chomei's visage dissolved, his sheer speed carrying him into Alva's path. His arms shimmered with a translucent red flow as he braced for her charge, and met it head-on. His arms buckled, ached under the weight of her assault, but he held firm. The tremor from the clash shook the area, and he felt his boots sink into the stony ground, cracking it. Looking at her visor, he growled— "Calm down!" Before roughly pushing her away, rubbing at his forearms. "There's no need for that!" He scowled. Leering at her briefly, his distaste for her plain on his face, he turned his head and spoke to Vale.
"... Look man... Just leave. Bring back the guardian if it's that serious," Chomei said simply. "Like you said, that's the easiest way to resolve this. I'll stay and keep an eye on it while you're gone..." Patting his chest, he huffed gruffly. It wouldn't hurt to spend a few days hanging around, especially if Vale spoke the truth. And if he wasn't? Then, he'd personally make sure Vale didnt try anything again. Seemed like an easy solution to him. Crossing his arms, he looked at Vale once more, more harshly.
"... Scram! I won't bother blocking anything else that gets thrown your way,"
