An Unexpected Discovery

The Kaiju Wyrm detected Sentry and glanced at him as he spoke toward him. Ah so this android was sent to monitor Earth, likely by cousin Ticoga, but ended up getting sidetracked by him, no matter, might as well have the little guy follow him in case something dangerous pops up. "Assistance doesn't appear to be needed at the moment, but be on standby and follow, I'm following a signal the Star picked up while I had been intending to do a similar scouting operation." He paused to let that set in the android's mind, Terium also wondered how smart the AI in the android is, and if it could be considered a true sapient being like himself.

As they got closer to the Signal's source, the Wyrm continued speaking. "It's odd though, this signal is one I hadn't expected to pick up in this system of all places. I wonder what my creator had been up to here..." Terium muttered that last part, and right after they came across a rectangular-shaped bunker entrance. Unfortunately, Terium is too large to fit in, much like how the base on Arcose had been before he had it changed. "Hmm...not surprising, too for me to fit in, but that won't stop me," the kaiju noted, "you go on and use the main entrance, I don't want this place damaged. I would rather not trigger any potential alarms, and knowing who made this place, said alarms are likely to result in something...rather unpleasant that I'd rather we not have to deal with right now." He ordered, giving an explanation so as to further test the machine's intelligence. Unlike Ticoga, Terium as a Bio-android tends to think of androids as people unless deliberately made to be animalistic, or just that robotic.

Terium began to use ground phasing, "I'll go in and meet you inside." He finished as he sunk further into the icy grounds, and began to delve into the facility.

At the deepest part of the base, a massive robotic head was currently on sleep mode, and in another chamber, in cryostasis, a leviathan slept, the cryostasis hiding its power signature and level entirely.

the facility has been reached, wonder what may happen upon Sentry entering through the front door....


A schematic eh, that has potential. Terium had just heard that bit before he fully sunk in and decided to see if Senty may go for a terminal port of its own accord. He wants to see just strong its AI is, so decided not to just outright order it to go for a terminal, and instead let it come to that conclusion on its own. As he entered the facility, he took a look around and noticed chambers large enough to fit himself...normally this wouldn't be of any concern considering it's just the Doctor's style. Still, he was worried there might be something big enough to warrant having such big chambers outside of the aesthetic. Then the lights turned on soon after Sentry opened the doors, making Terium's eyes narrow, and hoped Wintera only had the lights linked to the doors.


Unbeknownst to them, far deeper in the facility, in another large chamber, a particularly large robotic head, shaped like that of an arcosion, turned on. It's optics looked around the room, and then narrowed as it proceeded to link up with the rest of the facility. It looked through the various security cameras to see what had entered its...or rather his, facility and spotted Terium.


Terium meanwhile noticed movement in the corner of his eye and looked right at the security camera. "So much for being discreet" He muttered before wondering why nothing hostile has come at him yet before a robotic, yet so very familiar voice spoke from the audio.

"Hmm...curious, are you by chance the result of Project DRACONIS?" The voice spoke, sounding much, much more coherent, sane, and most of all, much younger then he remembered. Terium's eyes widened when he heard that voice.

Terium stared at the camera, Draconis, which was the original name for the project he'd been made from. "It was changed to Terium in the end, which is now my name, how are you here Doctor?" He asked, tense, worried he was going to be treated like some damn lab animal again.

The voice, now known to be Wintera himself, didn't seem to be surprised. "Judging by your tone and expression, I suppose I'm right to presume that my other self's genetic parasite finally got to him." The doctor sighed at that, seeming rather disappointed, yet the lack of surprise is still very much evident.

Terium looked confused at this, "a Genetic Parasite?" He asked, was that the true reason behind all the bio-research? The reason why he went nuts?

"My ever so impressive creation I do not recall making, back during one of the wars on Plant, I had been researching the native species there, studying Saiyan DNA while being on assignment to observe the war when a missile containing a capsule hit my ship. The damn thing released a parasite that ended up infecting me. It was only thanks to self modifications I had made years before that I was able to stave off the effects long enough to create this backup mind in various bases. Sorry to say that I don't really recall much after." The robotic version of a younger Doctor Wintera explained, there was some humor at the start though, very different from the parasite ridden version.

"That explains things, so it was a parasite from the Wars on Plant..." Terium noted, wondering how he was going to explain Wintera's current status to this younger robotic version. But first...he activated his comm, better to make sure no miscommunication goes on here. "Sentry, it seems we have rather intriguing development that Cousin Ticoga's going to want to hear, the situation just got a substantially more complicated." Terium had a feeling that the old Doctor was going to be very angry when he learns of what the parasite crazed version of him did.

Wintera, having Uploaded his mind into a mostly robotic form, has revealed himself! A Minon sheet shall be made of him once this topic is over.

Terium waited for Sentry to respond, Wintera meanwhile noted the presence of the android. "Well well, an android, this shall be Most interesting to observe." Terium raised an eyebrow at the odd tone Wintera made when he said 'most interesting'...it almost sounded like...he was just hearing things right? Then Sentry finally responded, to which Terium gained a more serious expression.

"It seems that before he went traitorously insane, Doctor Winter had been on assignment to observe the War on plant that was going on at the time. From what I'm hearing, it appears a Tuffle bioweapon hit his ship and infected the doctor with a brain parasite which resulted in him being psychologically changed in a fundamental way, resulting in him turncoating against the Empire." He paused to let that sink in, "If the Tuffles have that sort of bioweapon, we're going to need to keep a closer eye on Plant. As things are, the Uploaded Mind here should be of great help." He then looked to the Camera, "I presume you have a console where Sentry can download the relevant information?" Terium asked the currently robotic Doctor.

"Indeed I do!" Wintera started, then looked through the camera at Sentry's location. Terium was still moving deeper into the facility when some screens turned on revealing a map, and decided to let Sentry know what he suspected Wintera was going to do.

"Be advised, Wintera's going to direct you to a console," the Wyrm warned the android, deciding to make sure Sentry knew not to freak out if its capable of such.

And with that, Wintera spoke through the speakers near Sentry. "Indeed I am!~" There was a dramatic pause before the currently robotic scientist continued. "Head to the door ahead of you on your left, there will be a console there where I will transfer all relevant information of my situation here to you which you can then use in a report. Oh, and compliments to whoever worked on you, you look to be re~markably well built." Wintera sent said information to the console in question for Sentry to pick up.

Wintera informs Sentry of the console, and Terium informs said android of the situation at hand.

Terium thought about what Sentry stated, and he had to admit it did seem rather odd how easy this was, so he decided to listen to Sentry and check around, afterall, there is a chance that Wintera may be lying and may attempt what Sentry is stating. "I never said to link up with it, while I'm sure you are very much capable of countering whatever cyber attacks may happen, I'd rather not risk having time wasted like that." Like he'd ever turn against the Empire, not when he's already invested so much into it. Besides, he needed to keep Wintera talking so he figure out where his core is.

But before he could say more Wintera spoke up, sounding offended. "Re-reprogram? Really? Damn that parasite to the pits of hell!" The Doctor sounded genuinely pissed about his current situation, and then he audio'd a sigh and proceeded to wonder how he was supposed to show he was sincere and being honest.

Terium meanwhile heeded Sentry's words, scanned about with his senses, managed to detect several lifeforms nearby, and growled. "Wintera...Why am I detecting multiple lifeforms nearby?" Terium's tone had turned aggressive, now hoping he hadn't just led himself and Sentry into a trap. "Sentry, keep on guard."

"Back up bodies, I had them made just in case my original body got contaminated or maliciously altered, which as noted, has happened," Wintera replied, his earlier friendliness had toned down, turning into a more pleading one. Terium continued onward deeper into the facility, following powerlines.

"I'm going to heed your advice Sentry, let's find out if this voice in the machine is being truthful in what he has stated." Terium told Sentry as he headed toward the lifeforms using ground phasing to quickly reach the room. He then poked his head into said room and found the in-stasis bodies, all having Wintera's face. "Ah, I see, so you were being truthful on this at least" Terium noted for both Wintera and Sentry to hear, then he decided to find out where the core of Wintera's mind was being stored, and got moving again, deciding to leave the back up bodies alone for now. "But were you being truthful on the rest?"

Wintera felt resigned, was he really going to die here, executed because the goddamn parasite turned his original self into a traitor? No, no, there had to be a way to convince Terium and Sentry, if he couldn't get Sentry to download the information, he'll simply show unedited footage of the event. "Fine, if you won't download the information, could you please at least look at the footage along with the date on it?" He asked the android with a somewhat desperate tone, he's not a traitor dammit!

Wintera had various screens show Sentry the footage in question, with one such being on the Terminal, it showed the inside of Wintera's ship, and through the window was planet plant, along with various video screens showing live footage of the war, things going well until a crash is heard, and first person perspective of Wintera turned to see a large capsule had burst into his vessel, and opened revealing the parasite which proceeded to lunge at Wintera who had dodged, placed a device on his head as the parasite finally managed to get onto him. The Video ended soon after.

Meanwhile, Terium continued to search for Wintera's mind chamber, afterall, he doubted that the old arcosion could transfer into organic backups at a fast pace, and if Wintera did prove to be a traitor, then why waste perfectly good samples when all he'd have to do is destroy wherever the main mind is kept?

Terium leaves the organic back up bodies of Wintera intact, thinking that if Wintera does indeed prove to be a traitor, then he'll simply finish Wintera off, and take the bodies for experimentation, that way nothing of value is lost. The Video has no signs of being doctored, and blatantly shows Wintera's point of view of the event where the parasite got on him.
