Mount Puccino [CONQUEST]

There were many visitors to Mount Frappe on this day, beyond those who would eventually show themselves or ones whom where already here earlier, there happened to be another four. The strangest group one ever did see, Nervan, Prophos, Illuma and Budoshi. All here for different reasons, but united all the same.

The joys of training in harsher environments, Budoshi could easily think of other things besides that but he chose not to, he wanted to be doing this, and in this case, a place so utterly frosty-cold was perfect for him. He had an affinity for the cold, long since discovered by his training in youth, but as always he wanted to get better at it. “C’mon isn’t this great?” He happily grinned, doing martial arts maneuvers in the snow, wearing his most favored garb, his martial arts outfit of course.

Prophos, on the other hand, was neatly bundled up in warmer attire, generally resembling what he would usually wear, but much fluffier. “Hey, some of us are normal about temperatures, I’m here because of an interesting prophecy.” It wasn’t every day that a magic tome in one’s possession gives a blunt ‘there may be caffiene upon the mountain’ for a prediction. “Honestly, may? Far more interesting than will, I would say, means it could go either way.”

Illuma, being something of the ‘team mother’, like Prophos was responsibly dressed for the temperature, and wasn’t going to let the other three out in such a harsh environment without— “Grilled cheese is ready.” Food, glorious food. Illuma had been busy making grilled cheese in a special magic floating oven that Prophos had conjured, with Nervan as a cooking assistant.

Nervan, being the oddest of all four, just seemed to be wearing what they had always worn, some patchy mess without shoes, if they weren’t ambulatory, one might mistake them for a corpse... Actually, people did that anyway, and often.

Eventually, the four would consume their snacks. Budoshi would get straight back into training, and some light sparring with Illuma. All was well, until the mountain seemed to rumble, a strange magic swooshed through it, and just as Budoshi had lunged forward to send a punh in Illuma’s direction, everyone had suddenly sunk down about a quarter of a metre. Illuma fell backwards completely, and this threw off Budoshi’s aim, causing him to land in the— “... Low fat whipped cream?” Budoshi was baffled as he stood up, covered head to toe in what should have been snow!

As everyone got their bearings straightened out, they all looked around until Nervan pointed something out in the distance, a bizarre glow surrounding an obscured figure, where others seemed to be congregating. “There.”

The group looked between each other and nodded— all curious about what was going on for their own reasons— the prophecy told by Prophos’ tome now... Maybe made some sense? There had to be more to it. In any case, they all powering up collectively, just in case things happened to get dangerous; and they were all sure that it would indeed.

Gathering around Illuma who was now on top of a boulder, Nervan was carried on her back, Budoshi held one of her free hands and Prophos conjured mystic limbs from under his coat to tie himself around her waist— then she flew up into the air, just as the boulder bad become something vaguely resembling a thin mint.

What the group soon arrived to was... Strange, to say the least, and there was clear tension in the air among these other folk for one reason or another. “Hi.” Nervan spoke up to the strangers lazily, their blank expression unchanging, not even their mouth opened, but still they somehow spoke. “The snow on the mountain is turning into cream. That’s fun.” Budoshi pouted. “Wasn’t funny when I faceplanted into it...” Prophos snickered. “Pfft, of course it was.”

Before the two could argue however, the tell-tale sound of an amped up microphone could be heard, and Illuma gasped. “Oh my stars, is that Charlotl?” Nervan, Prophos and Budoshi all looked at Illuma, though only Prophos and Budoshi had a curiously confused expression on their faces, Nervan’s was neutral, eternally so.
