“Let’s just say that an old friend of mine was quite the collector of artifacts! Made them himself and everything but he doesn’t live on his home planet anymore. He said he never felt quite at peace after the conflict with the Mazoku. So he left to start anew… that was so long ago, however. I was quite young myself at the time when I met him briefly on Earth.”
“He lives on Earth?”
“No, dear. He was there for a short time. We protected that planet once upon a time!”
“WHAT? No way! Why?! When was this?!”
“I have to keep some secrets, dear.”
A conversation that had taken place back on Konats after her run-in with that pirate lady, Zerori and Zriracha’s topics had ranged from what they were going to do about Zriracha’s condition to somehow talking about other magical beings. When her mother had brought up Namekians, of course, Zerori was curious. And that curiosity, naturally, led to Zerori asking where these mysterious people were.
In mere hours, straining herself to open a portal, Zerori and Zriracha were soon stepping upon the blue grassland of what could only be described as a bustling bazaar or activity. It wasn’t the technological marvel of Hachi City or the calm aristocratic vibe of Kuriza City but there was a soft, lively energy behind the Namekians as they went about their day. And, apparently, she’d come during SOME kind of event if the talk of a ‘Trial of Peace’ was anything to go by.
Zerori whistled loudly, “Is it tournament season across the galaxy?! Too bad I lost my match,” Zerori teased with a laugh toward her mother who - in a rare show of strength - was in her transformed state even if she still looked more aged than she would have liked due to her loss of power.
The elderly satyr woman just gave Zerori a soft WAP on the shoulder as they walked the streets leisurely, “You held back. Had you used your actual strength you would have given Jinx a better fight.” To that, Zerori just scoffed and looked away with a sour expression.
“It wasn’t the time for that and you know it. What if I hurt her really badly? ‘Sides, did you see the look on her face after healing me? Worth the loss.” Zerori resolved, earning an out of sight wry grin from her mother. As they walked along, Zerori noticed that they were getting some curious glances from the natives and she blinked her one visible eye at the realization that their entrance might have drawn some attention. It didn’t help that she had a massive great sword visible behind her back and looked so out of place she might as well have been a chair in a desert.
The staring had started to get to her, however, and Zerori narrowed her eye at one Namekian that outright seemed to glare at her. Her shoulders tensed, calling out to him firmly and nearly silencing the entire area around them with how confrontation she sounded. “You got a staring problem, buddy? Don’t think I can’t see you staring with only one eye, mother fucker.” She didn’t know why but something about the way she was looked at had the hair of tail frizzle up with anxiety and - naturally, of course - that translated into anger.
