This was it.
This was what he had been preparing for.
... So why was he still so scared?
Logically, it didn't make a lot of sense. Dion's been in much worse situations before, and he approached those instances with at least thrice as much gall as he did his current circumstances. Hell, he's been in places where his own life was at stake and he faced such dangers with the same belligerence as he did throughout his entire life.
And yet, the mere thought of seeing Zhalla and Nero after so long still rattled him to his very core. His greatest failures laid in direct correspondence to the duo- what with driving Pankaa to a panicked state after attempting to meddle in the affairs of the supernatural out of a (admittedly selfless) need to always insert himself in a situation gone south, and before that forcing Zhalla's hand in his own (admittedly selfish) need to continuously ensure the safety of those he cared about. And even in spite of Amara's forgiveness emboldening him initially, now that he was planet-side, Dion's will began to buckle slightly as the time came nearer and nearer for the three to be reunited.
Yes, part of him was also ecstatic- to hear that the two had been doing well in his absence from Pankaa was comforting to say the least. But such a fact also made Dion simultaneously more nervous. Would his presence cause greater discourse in light of all the time he's spent in self-imposed exile? Would Amara's beliefs end up fizzling out, and the two would indeed turn him away at the attempt of making amends for his self-perceieved wrongdoings?
Well, Dion would only know if he tried.
And try he was willing to do.
After being directed by Pankaa as to where exactly to go (considering the sameness of Namek's environment made it very difficult to locate their place without set directions), Dion wasted no time in speeding off into the great green skies, deadset on at least trying to make things up to the two people he thought he wronged the most with his absence. Nero deserved better than to have to worry about not one, not two, but three corrupted innocents, and Zhalla deserved a better older brother- one that didn't blame her for doing what she believed was right in a time of great need.
Much of what Dion's comeback has culminated into has been trying to do better, and so Dion hoped that this mending of broken bridges would help to make him into an elder sibling Zhalla could be proud of- and not just one that she has to beat some sense into every other week. He wanted to be there for her, not stand in her way.
It all needed a base to build off of though, and as Dion's eyes scanned the landscape below with a critically calculative gaze, the Saiyan immediately dropped back down to the ground as he saw something that looked exactly like the building Pankaa told Dion to look for. Seeing as it was the only building that didn't look like it had too much Namekian influence, the Saiyan supposed he had finally reached his destination.
Stopping just before the front door, Dion kneaded his hands into each others' nervous embrace. It was quite hard to continue building on his confident persona when faced with something that could potentially be soul-shattering for the unnerved Saiyan to face. Even so, at the very least he could go on knowing he tried to fix what had been done, if things defaulted to the worst case scenario.
Taking a deep breath, the young man knocked gingerly on the front door, waiting for someone to answer.
Waiting...
... And waiting...
... And waiting...
... Was there no one home?
Taking a moment to reach out mentally, Dion realized he sensed no power signatures emanating from inside of the home. Sighing somewhat out of relief, the bartender leaned his back against the door, allowing his person to sink all the way down onto the seat of his pants.
Funny how he was the one kept waiting now.
Twas' only fair, Dion supposed.
