Well, so much for Tarbel Village being the last refuge of peaceful, yet social contemplation.
Dion hoped that the out-of-the-ways Saiyan settlement would prove to be a perfect place for him to muse on his life events and all that he had been forced to go through these past few months. And initially, it was proving him right. That was until the appearance of a certain short, sailor-mouthed Saiyan in the midst of his business anyways. While he wouldn't say his meeting with Parii was completely unwanted, it definitely detracted from what he wanted his trip to Tarbel to accomplish in the first place.
Which was a more level-headed Dion than who he was before he went in. It was safe to say this was not at all the case with how he and Parii ended up interacting.
Still desperate to find some sense of balance and order to meditate within, however, Dion sought out what he believed to be his last resort in regards to environments he knew he couldn't possibly be bothered in, and that just so happened to be the beloved (at least to him) Berri Forest. It wasn't that far off of a shot from Tarbel Village, and so the flight was mere minutes before he saw the treeline of the forest proper below him appear.
Landing in one of the more open areas that still was surrounded by ample forest for a nice little backdrop, Dion breathed in the cool woodland air with a much-relieved energy. This was exactly what he was looking for, a nice, serene little place where he could try and calm the maelstrom of emotion that lay deep within.
And yet, as he searched through the trees for some place to sit, he found himself becoming only more and more disconcerted- as memories of past experiences began to bubble to the surface once again. Visions of his first meeting with Pankaa blinking in and out of his mind, and raising his feelings of guilt to an even greater level than before.
He wondered how the Avali boy felt, having inadvertantly caused some of the greatest strife the two will ever encounter in either one of their lives. Dion hoped he knew he didn't blame him for any of it- if anything, it was Dion who ought to take most, if not all of the blame and consequence for what he's put everyone through. It was he that forced Zhalla's hand and brought out the beast inside of her, it was he that allowed Celeste's magical manipulation amplify something that he knew threatened to consume him entirely, it was he that ended up hurting not only Kabe but Kay-Bee in his blind lust to prove his power to all who laid witness, it was-
Stopping himself, Dion found his heart pounding nearly out of his chest. Breathing heavily, he fell to his knees in a sweaty heap, unable to stop the quickening pace of the world around him. It was like his reality was spinning, and he wasn't sure what to do.
Falling backward, a few weakened gasps left him, eyes wide and frightened as he clutched at his chest with his left hand- knuckles whitening at the tightness of his grip.
He laid there for what seemed like hours, looking quite pathetic, but more importantly- in dire need of help.
But from where could it come from, in the midst of this practically deserted forest?
