Gandigan was getting desperate now. He had told Usumidori that he wanted to stay behind at the village to clean up the mess, and that was true, but it wasn't the only reason. After the appearances were tidied up Gandigan made his way back to the elders hut where he rummaged through his stash of hidden relics. To Usumidori they may have meant nothing, but to Gandigan they could have held the key to salvation. He didn't really understand half of the things he was looking at, so he just carried as many as he could away with him.
Over the next few days whenever he had spare time he'd go back to that stash, trying to activate these trinkets in the hopes that something would actually work. Of course most didn't do anything and so he'd put them back; that was until he came across a candle of some kind. To the Namekian it looked quite ordinary; so ordinary that he thought it may have been placed with the others on accident.
That was until he decided to light the candle, at which he suddenly found himself being violently torn into a vacuum. He tried to fight against it's power, yet the whole thing was over in a near instant. When the Namekian opened his eyes he found himself in a place he could hardly describe. There were... flowers, and all sorts of wild critters he had never seen on Namek before. Things didn't really click into place until he heard the gasps coming from behind.
Gandigan spun around and saw... ghosts? Staring at him. A few in the back were even laughing. Was he dead? Had that bloody candle killed him? It didn't sound so bad if it meant his curse was gone, though unfortunately it didn't take long to realize just how far from the truth that could be. Suddenly there was a burning in his chest; the same spot that he had felt in pain while speaking to Zaffran. Gandigan fell to the ground, clutching his chest and trying to breath. Wherever he was, this thing inside of him wanted to leave.
