"No. No! You will be the one begging for mercy! You will be the one left broken!"

In response to Marimba's taunt, the Demon drops down to the ground and rebounds directly at the Mazoku-Namekian. Lengthening its claws as it leaps, it aims to take a nasty swipe at its adversary's face. Marimba tries to counter with a claw swipe of his own, but his body was acting too sluggish after exerting itself.

Amon's claw would land first, tearing the flesh off the side of the mutant's cheek. He'd continue his assault by landing an uppercut to the chin, but Marimba would backflip using the momentum, landing back on his feet, and regaining his combat stance before the Oni-Namekian could follow through with anything else.

Marimba then attempts a spin kick to force some distance between himself and his foe and follows it up by sending forth a punch that would stretch and extend until his opponent was struck into a wall. Afterwards, he'd retract his arm and charge at the Demon, shouting.

"You think this papercut is enough to scare me? My mentor used to slice me clean in half as part of their training! Your lucky shot isn't even worth healing!"

Marimba lets loose a claw jab once he reaches striking distance, followed by several more in rapid succession if he can get the chance.

Amon's claw struck across the check of Marimba; the demon finally drew blood for the first time. His follow up uppercut also landed, though Marimba used the momentum to carry himself into a backflip, successfully creating distance between the two. The Mazoku would attempt to land with a spin kick, though Amon quickly pulled his body back, going onto his heels. Now off balanced he had little chance of evading Marimba's follow up attack, as the Namekian would take advantage of his stretchy limbs to slam into Amon's chest, throwing the demon further backwards.

Marimba mentioned far worse punishment at the hands of his mentor, and Amon wondered whether or not it knew this mentor he spoke of, as the demon had been watching over Namek for quite some time. This mentor must have been somehow powerful if they had instructed this Mazoku on how to fight. "This mentor of yours; I'll be sure to test myself against them next!"

In any case, Marimba wasn't done yet. With Amon still pinned against the surface the Namekian would pull his arm back in before charging. He came in first with a claw, striking Amon across the face, before following it up with a series of rapid strikes. Amon pulled it's arms up and tried to form a protective wall around himself, successfully protecting it's body from some of the damage, but not all. Marimba was able to find the gaps in it's defense, so Amon needed to be proactive.

Keeping it's right arm close to stay on defense, Amon would extend the left arm, hoping to grab hold of the shredded flesh across Marimba's face. From there it'd pull, trying to get the Mazoku closer so that it could throw it's own head forward in a headbutt. Regardless of the success of this Amon once again attempted to wrap it's arms around Marimba, though this time it had something else in mind. The parasitic worm living with Gandigan would begin to heat up now, burning the Namekian from the inside.

In a matter of moments Gandigan's chest would shift from a dull greyish tone to a bright red. Carrying the flames from hell itself through it's body, Amon attempted to burn Marimba through using Gandigan's own body.

Amon grabs Marimba's open cheek, pulling him closer to deliver a headbutt. The two hardened heads collide, bruising one another, and drawing out a little bit of blood. This maneuver would also serve to stun Marimba long enough for the demon to wrap his arms around the mutant and unleash his real attack. Hellfire starts to burn violently out of Gandigan's chest, painfully searing the mutant's hide.

The Mazoku had endured volcanic heat in the past, but this was more intense than even that. He needed to think of a way to escape from this grab fast, or he would quickly lose the lead in this fight. Marimba shrinks down to a quarter of his size in an instant, slipping out of Amon's Firey hold. Then he rapidly grows back to his giant size, as he unleashes an uppercut meant to smash directly into the Oni's chin.

The mutated namekian unfurls his wings, swinging them into the demon's sides and stabbing them with their spiked tips. With his right hand, he generates a ki-blast, and drags Amon closer with his spiked wings as he slams the ki-blast into the chest of his foe. Marimba then releases the blast from his palm, sending the demon flying away along with it as the spikes in his sides are simultaneously ripped out. Afterwards, The ki-blast explodes on the possessed Namekian in mid-air, leaving a cloud of dust and smoke in its wake.

Amon took great pleasure upon feeling the burning flesh of Marimba. The demon had found himself with the upper hand, but it would only last momentarily. Marimba showed off another trick, shrinking down to just a quarter of his size, causing him to fall out of Amon's grasp. Before the demon could readjust Marimba came roaring back up to size, throwing a massive uppercut into it's jaw. Spikes from the Namekian's wings would soon dig themselves into each side of Amon, causing him to cry out in pain.

Being rapidly pulled in, Amon would be met by a ki blast fired from Marimba, which struck the demon directly in it's chest, sending it into the sky. The ki blast would dig into the chest of Amon, carrying him up into the clouds, though the demon would fling it away before detonation, protecting itself from any further damage. At this point Gandigan's chest was still burning, which Amon had to due away with. As loathe as it was to fight with this weakling's body it was the only option right now, and if Marimba was going to cause this much damage then it couldn't afford to weaken it any more.

The idea to try and shift bodies into Marimba did occur to Amon, though the Namekian would have to be significantly weakened for that to have any chance to work. Speaking of damage, Gandigan's body wasn't holding up all that well. Gandigan would have had some sort of natural regeneration, though Amon was still getting used to controlling this body, and it wasn't quite sure how to best put that to use. It would have to buy time against Marimba while searching through the bodies functions.

Hovering back down to be level with Marimba, the demon wasted no time getting back on the offensive. Rushing forward, Amon would throw out two weaker ki blasts at the Namekian in an effort to shield it's entry. Form there it would bring it's hands together, and once in range it would leap into the air, attempting to deliver a double axe handle down upon Marimba's head. Still in the air after this attack, Amon would follow up by pulling it's legs in and driving them back out and down upon the Namekians back, trying to drill him into the ground.

Amon The Ancient rushes in, firing two Ki-blasts at Marimba as he approaches. Marimba swings with both claws, shredding both Ki-blasts into sparkles with a single stroke. But at the exact moment that the Mazoku had his hands occupied with destroying the energy blasts, the Oni jumped in from above, landing a double-axe hand blow on Marimba's head, driving the Mutated Namekian's feet into the ground.

The Demon Namekian, still in the air, attempts to follow through with a double-legged stomp that seeks to drive his competitor further into the ground. But before it lands, a second pair of arms sprouts above the first pair, catching the legs by the ankles before its stomp connects. The Auxiliary arms twist the legs and slam Amon face-first into the ground in front of Marimba while the first pair lift the fat mutant out of the earth to begin floating hardly an inch above it.

The Mazoku Warrior, with both of the Demon's legs already grabbed, begins to spin around with Amon, rapidly gaining momentum until the two appear to be a green twister. Then, at the height of his speed, Marimba released his grip on the Posessed Namekian, sending him barreling at hyper-speed towards a distant volcano partially submerged in a murky lake. A feature recently formed directly from the terraforming ritual Nero performed on the Scar.

"SO LONG, SUCKER! I'LL SEE YOU REAL SOON!"

With a sadistic grin, Marimba's wings open, and he soars off to the lake where he has launched Amon, keeping his senses trained on Oni's unhallowed energy.

Amon's double axe handle finds the mark, slamming the fat Mazoku partially into the ground. Before it can finish off the job however Marimba reveals yet another trick, sprouting another pair of arms to grab ahold of Amon's legs before it can land the incoming stomp attack. Within a matter of seconds the two are now spinning rapidly around, gaining speed with each rotation. "Unhand me!" Amon can feel itself growing sicker with each spin, until finally Marimba releases his grasp, throwing the demon through the air.

Amon would soar across the Namekian landscape, it's speed slowly dwindling until finally landing in a nearby lake. For a moment Amon would rest within the lake, allowing the water to wash over it's wounds. The burn across it's chest could especially do with a little water, but it knows it can't stay down there forever. Beneath the water it can sense Marimba moving towards it. The Mazoku was on the hunt once more.

Amon would stay beneath the water for a little while longer, waiting for Marimba to draw nearer. It waited and waited until finally bursting out from beneath the lake, turning to face the incoming Mazoku while matching his speed. Amon hoped to catch Marimba off guard, charging in towards him at an equal pace. Once it had closed the distance between the two of them, the demon would extend out it's right arm, aiming to slash Marimba across his throat with another claw strike.

If it was able to get the Mazoku then Amon would follow up by launching itself into the air, raining a storm of ki blasts down onto Marimba, with the intent of buying itself time for more recovery.

As he draws near, The Winged Mazoku senses the Demon Namekian lurking under the water's surface. Marimba looks around in an unrelated direction, pretending not to have noticed him, and musing to himself how pointless hiding is without suppressing your energy. He remembers when he was Naïve enough to make the same mistake when trying to ambush Crotona and Maxsuz shortly after his birth, taking pride in how far he has come since that time.

As expected, Amon shoots out of the water, swiping his right claw at the Mutant's neck while he is looking away. But in an instant, Marimba swings around, contesting the sharped clawed swipe with one of his own. He follows it up by delivering a kick to his with such raw power that it stretches out the back of the Oni. The Assault continues by unleashing a flurry of quick claw swipes, each aiming to overwhelm Amon's defenses and inflict numerous cuts on his body.

The Mazoku finishes by opening his mouth and performing a dash that moves him backwards horizontally and upwards vertically. Afterwards, firing a mouth energy wave to push Amon back into the lake, forcing a torrent of water to be blasted skyward as the destructive wave bursts. Then, filling his lungs with air, Marimba dives into the rippling waters, seeking to pursue and thrash the wannabe Demon King even further.

Amon swipes at Marimba's throat as planned, but the Mazoku is ready to match the effort, slamming his own claw against the demon. This is followed up by a vicious kick which slams straight into Amon, before a barrage of weaker strikes quickly overwhelm it. The demon looks around, hoping to find some sort of quick escape, but Marimba refused to let up his assault. Very quickly the damage begins to show, with numerous scratches across it's body, adding to the damage that Marimba had already done.

Finally the Mazoku relents, backing up into air, though this is only to prepare his next attack. Amon can see clear as day what's coming, but doesn't have the speed to avoid it. A powerful energy wave from the mouth, similar to Gandigan's Shugeki blast, erupts from the depths of the Mazoku. The energy wave slams into the chest of Amon, forcing the demon back under the water. Marimba would be quick to follow, taking in a large gulp of air before diving in. That deep breath gave Amon an idea.

As soon as the Mazoku entered the water, Amon would be on him. Swimming upwards, the demon would attempt to clamp down on one of Marimba's legs, hoping to drag him further into the water in the process. Both would need to breath eventually, but for Marimba he was fighting for his one and only life. If Gandigan drowned... then so what? It would stifle it's plans, but Amon would live on. It could always grow another parasite and come back to Namek, and this time it'd find someone more suitable for the job.

Amon would send a message into the Mazoku's mind. "I am immortal, fool. This body means nothing to me; it is just a tool for which I shall use to end you and your pathetic kind!"

At the precise moment that the Mazoku submerged into the lake, Amon was already on him, sinking his teeth into his left leg. This time he had actually succeeded in catching Marimba off guard. Despite already knowing he was there, the Namekian didn't anticipate the Demon to recover from his energy wave this swiftly. The Mutant flexes and toughens his leg to prevent it from being torn off. But despite his best effort, the damage to his leg was still significant, and the pain immense.

Marimba grimaces as he draws out his max power once more, with his veins and muscles bulging and flexing in turn. He had toyed around with this Demon too long and got punished. So now was the time to pay him back twofold! First, Marimba bashes the right side of Amon's head with a brutal full-strength left hook, then smashes his right cheek with an equally savage right hook.

It was then that Marimba got an idea. Taking a page out of the Oni's own playbook, the Mazoku swings his caught leg as he lunges down, biting into the neck of the Demonic Namekian, attempting to crush his throat. Afterwards, his lower pair of arms extend, wrapping around Amon's chest and waist. The rope-like appendages squeeze, constricting him and tightening to force the air out of his lungs.

Amon never wanted to take the leg off; in fact it'd prefer it remains. That way it can drag the Mazoku down even further with it, or at least it would have, had Marimba not acted. A swift shot from above came roaring down upon the side of Amon's head, instantly causing the demon to daze. Temporarily stunned, the shot from the Mazoku came into unprotected, slamming across the check of Amon.

Before the demon can even think of a retort it finds itself the victim of Marimba's own bite, with the Mazoku digging deep into it's throat. "Aghhghhghg!" Instantly Amon cries out, though it's scream is quickly stifled as a torrent of water flows down and into the demon's throat. The Namekian followed this by wrapping his arms around Amon, squeezing whatever air remained out of it.

Marimba seemed all too content to let Gandigan drown, so long as Amon is defeated. That left the demon with one more trick it could pull out. Digging deep into the frontal lobe, Amon would attempt to mimic Gandigan, hoping to pull some sort of sympathetic response from the Mazoku. Amon would stop fighting against Marimba's grasp, letting it's body go loose as to act defeated. Then it would once again speak, though this time mimicking the voice of Gandigan.

"Marimba... what's... happening..." Hopefully the Mazoku would drop his guard, which would allow Amon an opportunity to attack. If not that then maybe just a single moment of hesitation, allowing Amon the time to recover a bit of energy. As much as it pained the demon it admit it was currently losing this fight, and would have to resort to any tricks it had.

The body of Gandigan suddenly goes limp, with the Namekian using the last of its breath to speak to Marimba.

"Marimba... What's... Happening...?"

Marimba responds telepathically, refusing to release his vice-grip on Gandigan's body.

"If that really is you, Then you've picked a bad time to wake up, brother. The Oni inside you calls himself Amon the Ancient. He's been taking your body for a joyride for a while now. Unfortunately for you, it's clear he can dominate you at will, meaning that your life is no longer in your hands. I'm afraid that if it keeps being stubborn, I will need to kill you along with it. If you end up in the afterlife after this, make sure to tell them all about his meddling."

Marimba could sense that he did not yet extinguish the life force within the vessel of Gandigan. The Mutant's efforts had somewhat diminished it, but the body was still not as near to death as the Mazoku wanted. Judging from the power he was sensing, Amon should still have plenty of fight, whether drowning or not. The fact that he had gone limp with that much power left could only mean one of a few things. Either the Demon got cut off from its bond to the symbiote, he decided to give up, or he was trying to trick him.

Either way, he would need to push further to confirm Scenario 1, receive a verbal admission to accept Scenario 2, and refuse to fall for Scenario 3. So instead, the Mutant continues drowning the body of Gandigan and wailing on its head. If he managed to damage the Demon Namekian's head badly enough, it would prevent him from being able to regenerate, making it the optimal target to pound away on.

With Marimba no longer concerned about his leg, his max-strength attacks on Gandigan's head only become increasingly numerous and fearsome, without regarding any objection Gandigan might spout. Marimba would expect Amon to drop the act any moment now and unleash an omnidirectional explosive wave or attempt some other means of escape before it's too late.

So it was true. Marimba was ready to let Gandigan die in order to stop Amon. Not only did he not relinquish his grip, but he added more strikes to the head, pounding away in the hopes that the demon would submit. Submit? Did Marimba not know who he was speaking to? It was Amon the Ancient, conqueror of worlds and tormentor of the after life. To kill his vessel would be one thing, but submission? It was an insult to hear such words spoken.

Amon stayed within Marimba's arms, absorbing each strike without defense in the hopes of finding an opportunity. It's host had now taken a severe amount of punishment, with several new gashes appearing along the face of Gandigan, as well as heavy bruising where Marimba was squeezing away. Gandigan had held up well, for a mortal, but only had a few more moments of this assault before expiration.

Finally, throughout the punishment, Amon felt it's opportunity to strike. "You will never hear those words from me, fool. Amon does not submit to the likes of mortals or anyone else!" Amon would dig it's head into the chest of Marimba. From there it would open it's mouth and fire another Shugeki wave point black into the Mazoku's body. Amon's goal here was twofold, as it was hoping not only to damage Marimba, and push him further into the depths of the water, but also to propel it's own body out of the water.

Though Marimba's grip was mighty, it surely could not hold up against Shugeki wave from this range. Eventually the hold would give out, throwing Amon's body upwards through the lake and finally back out into the surface. The first thing Amon would do is drop down to the shore and take in several deep breaths, thankful to be out of water. It replenished whatever energy it could in those few precious seconds before leaping into the air and hovering over the lake.

From there Amon would rain down a barrage of ki blasts over the lake, trying to cover as much territory as it could. The blasts weren't designed to destroy the lake, but rather to try and keep Marimba within the water in the hopes that he would drown.

Before Marimba could say a word in response, Amon opened his mouth wide, blasting the Mutant with a point-blank Shugeki wave while simultaneously expelling the water from his lungs. The wave sends the Mazoku to the lake's floor while pushing the Oni out of the water to breathe fresh air. As Marimba's body strikes the bottom, the energy wave explodes, knocking out some of his held breath. The appearance of his body and Ki returns to normal, with his muscles shrinking and returning to a fat-like appearance, unable to sustain the Max Power state with such little oxygen.

Flapping his wings and swinging his arms, the tubby Mazoku tries to swim to the surface with great strides. Though the moment he starts, a series of ki-blasts rains down through the waters from above. Marimba crosses his four arms and folds his wings over his body, attempting to endure it. But the series of explosions are so intense that it sends himself and the water around him into a violent swirling torrent, throwing off his sense of direction and whirling him a great distance away from his original location.

Unable to tell up from down or where he is now, Marimba senses the direction of Amon's Ki and flies towards it but slams through some kind of rock face, knocking the last of his breath out of him. Wherever he was now, he was still unfortunately submerged. As water fills the Mutant's lungs, his body gradually begins to shrink, and his battle power slowly plummets.

However, he was not out of the fight just yet. Though in pain and panic, Marimba's eyes get a chance to refocus, and he tries to feel around. Wherever he was, it was so dim he could not see. Walls of sediment surrounded him both above and below, and he had precious few moments to act. But Marimba, as someone who had lived his life as an underground dweller and tunneler, had his own special technique that could be applied here. Placing his palm on the ceiling, he gently pours a small amount of ki through the wall, sensing its vibrations, soon finding a nearby cavity.

The moment the Mazoku notices it, he shifts his position further up the tunnel he was in and smashes through the ceiling, accessing a large pocket of air. As he enters, he coughs out the water in his lungs and breathes in the thin air. His ki energy climbs back up, returning to normal, with his body giving off a glow of energy, allowing him to see better inside the cavity. Since he had already sensed the structure of the surrounding area with his earlier technique, he knew exactly where he was now and how to escape.

With his claws, Marimba tears through the walls with practiced expertise, forming his own tunnel. Almost immediately, he finds light at the end, with his new tunnel leading into the central opening of the partially submerged volcano he was in previously. He flies out the spout and raises his ki once more, letting loose a war cry as he grows fully back to his titanic battle-ready size. Then, sensing Amon's energy, the giant Mazoku spreads his wings to their entire span before flying towards the demon's signature with great fury, ready to bring an end to this battle.

Amon knew it's furious assault couldn't last forever. Eventually the speed and power of it's energy blasts were reduced until finally they stopped all together. Amon would slowly lower itself to the ground just outside of the lake, taking whatever precious moments it could to recover it's energy. For the first time in this battle the demon felt like it truly had the advantage, though it expected that Marimba wasn't done yet. Even though it couldn't see or hear the Mazoku it could still sense it's presence somewhere.

And so it waited... and waited... yet Marimba refused to resurface. "What's going on here? Where are you?!" Could it be that it's senses were wrong? Trying to feel the outside world through this vessel wasn't perfect; it didn't fully understand how to use Gandigan's body yet. It believed it could sense Marimba, but it couldn't pin point where exactly the Namekian was.

Amon went back over to the lake, which had somewhat calmed since it's attack ended, and tried to look into the water in the hopes of spotting it's foe. Nothing in the water gave away any sort of position, leaving Amon to think that perhaps it truly had won this battle. That was until the monstrous war cry came from behind, revealing finally where the Mazoku had gone. "Still alive then? Good. I want to see the anguish on your face when I extinguish your pathetic existence."

Amon stood it's ground against the incoming Namekian, waiting for Marimba to get into range before striking. It hadn't recovered as much as it would have liked, but it couldn't afford to let Marimba regain the advantage it had fought so hard for. Once the Namekian got within range Amon would strike at him with another claw strike aimed at the temple, hoping to split his head in two. He knew that Namekian regeneration was thwarted by destroying the head, and as far as Amon could tell Marimba had yet to utilize this technique.

Although Marimba rapidly approaches, Amon stands still in his combat stance, methodically trying to find an opening in the unhinged Mazoku's defenses. Just as the obese warrior reaches the Oni's striking distance, it would see its chance and capitalize without hesitation, jabbing his claws straight into the Namekian's temple. The opportune strike leaves a gash on Marimba's forehead but fails to cleave it in half as intended due to the Mutants immensely thick skull.

Marimba gives a twisted, masochistic grin in response as if he viewed his wound as the opponent playing into his hand somehow. The Mazoku's oncoming assault would go as follows. His first set of arms attempts to swing several punches & hooks at Amon's arms to batter them or hands if he tries to continue to attack with them during his combo. His secondary set of arms goes slack, swinging downwards simultaneously to forcefully lash the shoulders and sides, aiming to inflict as much pain as possible. Then, Marimba would let loose a kick to the gut with his undamaged right leg.

After that, the namekian finally uses his regeneration, closing every wound on his cheek, head, and left leg and reducing a small amount of the burn scarring on his flesh. Following his regeneration, Marimba opens his arms wide towards Amon, with the same twisted smile still painting his ugly face, as he makes a declaration of his imminent victory.

"I'LL GIVE YOU ONE SHOT! ONE FINAL CHANCE TO TURN THINGS AROUND BEFORE I END THIS!"
