BACKGROUND:
Science and magic are but two sides of the same coin. What lesser beings consider to be magical, those with a greater depth of knowledge can understand as science. Still... that does not stop some old superstitions from holding people back. During the early days of the invasion and war against the Saiyans, a scientist by the name of Doctor Crao noticed the particular energy signals being emitted by the invaders strange energy orbs. If the enemy was harnessing light in order to empower themselves, then it seemed only fitting that their greatest weapon should be turned against them.
And so began the initial stages of "Project Uilbheist", named after a mythical multi-headed guardian beast of the sea. The problem of course was in harnessing those same energy signals meant having to be exposed to them to gather more data... As well as capturing a Saiyan in order to determine the exact nature in how this energy manifested their monstrous transformations. Of course when Saiyans started increasing their power in other ways outside of their Great Ape forms, the project became a little more difficult to manage.
Especially for the span of one life time during a war.
So Doctor Crao developed a side-bar to Project Uilbheist, wherein using a modified version of the Tuffleisation Virus he could encode his memory into another so that he could continue his work through them... Without taking them over or overriding their will of course like the current state of the Virus would. There was of course still the ethical issues... and so to get around those, he injected the new Echonites as he dubbed them into his own family without them knowing about it, before he died in the war.
And so Project Uilbheist continued on, with Doctor Crao directing and working on it through the generations of his family in the form of subtle whispers and suggestions that seemed like intuition, until his great granddaughter Iondu managed to crack part of the problem! By utilising a crystalline material found in a passing asteroid that she dubbed Permet, and embedding them into a set of devices linked to her mind through previous iterations of the families own version of the nanite research, she was able to artificially absorb the same energy waves that triggered the Great Ape transformations! This absorbed energy would then be able to projected in a solid form, thereby turning their greatest tool and power into a weapon against them!
Of course before Iondu could properly test the devices, Hatchi came under attack by the mad Saiyan Lottus and his cohorts. She managed to survive, enough energy having been used to create a basic humanoid mech for a short time... Although the strain of such a construct on her body was highly taxing at the moment, it did serve as a proof of concept... Now Iondu, and by extension Doctor Crao, has to simply refine the Uilbheist Project into such a form that they can remove the threat of the Saiyans from their planet.
Once and for all.
COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots and One Sparking Slot that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with additional slots, or access to certain slot-based abilities for free. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots.

Description: By triggering her Hard Light devices, she can induce her body to become far denser and recover from some injuries.

Description: Iondu calls on several bits or drones which drain the energy of an attack before using that energy to try and fire back at the enemy!

Variants: Reflective (Strategist cost down) (if PL remains, fire back +20%)
Medium Defensive Technique Type || Resonant Field
Description: By unleashing a burst of energy particles, the Hard Light bit drone system can try to defend against an attack, and then store that energy to increase the systems power.

Variants: Taunt (Strategist cost down) (if 40% of the PL remains, next non-sparking has +20% boost)
Medium Defensive Technique Type || Autonomous Barrier
Description: The Hard Light drones can carry out actions independently of Iondu's commands, and their primary directive is to defend.

Variants: Sustained (Strategist cost down) (use post included, 3 post duration)
Medium Defensive Technique || Cluster Shell (10,000 PL)
Description: Occasionally an attack will prove too much for the system to handle, and so several drone bits will group up in order to try and reduce as much incoming damage as they can!

Variants: Shield (Strategist cost down) (reduce any bleed-through from a failed defense by 30%, if your PL is within 60% of the attack's remaining PL)
Support Technique || Sensory Overload (Solar Flare) (20,000 PL)
Description: You release a blinding flash of light, replicating the sun's rays. This allows you to attempt to escape any thread or travel between splits in an Action Thread more safely. This technique valued at 60% of your total power and requires 2 KP to use. In order to stop you, a player must use an attack that is superior in power to your Sensory Overload. You cannot undo your escape via Sensory Overload if you are successful, but you can use KP to defend if it is overcome

Utility Technique || Thrusters
Description: By some means, usually through a skillful application of your ki, you are able to fly through the air.
Utility Technique || Energy Dampener
Description: Skilled control over your ki allows you to suppress your Power Level to a minimum of 1 PL to either hide or use this lower PL to fight characters weaker than your full strength on even footing. This technique is passive and does not require KP use.
