From the moment Megis decided to reach out to the tribal people of Korin's Forest he had a feeling that this was all a terrible idea. In his head it all seemed to make sense; they were the ones that had lived near the Lookout their whole lives, so who if not them would know how to unlock it's secrets? When he came to them with his demands they were initially uninterested, though they wouldn't elaborate why. Maybe they considered him unworthy?
Megis was persistent however, if nothing else, and refused to accept that answer. He temporarily moved away from the Lookout and down into the tribe, constantly pestering the locals until finally they decided to invite the Majin in on their secrets. When they did decide to speak to the Majin again they didn't provide a very satisfactory answer however.
They spoke of legends regarding a certain ritual which was said to unlock great power, but in order to actually obtain this great power it was required to gathered items which the tribe didn't have access to. They insisted that if Megis truly wanted to go through with this ritual then he would have to gather the items himself. The Majin didn't feel much like an errand boy, though given the circumstances he didn't exactly feel like he had much of a choice in the matter.
Reluctant as he was the Majin set out to gather the first of three items which would be required for this ritual: the tooth of a great black bear. The creature was said to roam the forests, growing upwards of one hundred and fifty kilograms. A fierce creation to the Humans, though Megis didn't expect to have much trouble. The biggest issue that Megis found was that he may have been a killer, but he was no hunter. Having lost any semblance of a trace the Majin feel to his knees and screamed.
"I've been walking around in circles for hours now; just where the bloody hell is this thing?"
