The Final Hunt (Conquest AT)

Saiba-Ban launched forward but he didn't meet Dark's flesh. Instead, he meets the man's fists clashing with his blow. Strike for Strike was traded but it was a fully even balance. He couldn't land a strike against Dark, but Dark could not land a blow on him They really were dead even. Saiba-Ban had been hoping he could have the edge on Dark but being even meant he'd have to pull every trick he had to hope to defeat the Saiyan. He did sense one thing, even if they were about even though he was a tiny bit stronger. And maybe, he could use that tiny difference in their powers to gain some sort of edge.

As he was thinking of the ways he could take advantage of his ever-so-slight power advantage he got tripped up by a low kick. "Wahhh" He crashed down face-first into the ground before he got lifted up by Dark. He really had the moves. Saiba-Ban just had raw power but even then, it was just a slight edge in raw power. "Yeah, it's been a while I bet. Most of my people are not really that strong. But you really thought to grab me." Saiba-Ban began to glow. Was he going to explode? That is what he wanted Dark to think. But no it was just him using his ki to feint an explosion! He would unleash said ki to try to force Dark to let go of him. Using that explosion he'd hope to break free and then rush in to smash an elbow into Dark's chest. Then he'd spin his fist over to uppercut Dark in the jaw to set up a massive combo of strikes after hopefully stunning Dark! This was backed up by him increasing his power to the limit!

"Tch."
Those wild eyes stared at the saibaman in his grasp. Fully aware of what they could do, given the chance. But it wasn't like he didn't know that danger. Noone was that suicidal, especially around a saiyan. He'd take the man as being smarter than his is though, because right up to the moment of staring him down it seemed he would threaten it right there. To the praise of their spectator and many others surrounding them having fun now with the spectacle.

"Dumbass!"
Rather than simply let him go, the cat saiyan rears his arms back and tries slamming him to the ground in the same motion. Basically throwing him to the floor with force. But it seemed the saibaman wasn't focusing his energy on that. No, rather, the little minx just used some light show to throw off his judgment and come at him again with blows. This close, Dark couldn't settle for just counterattacking each slash and jab. Taking the first uppercut to his chin, the saiyan quickly rebounded and aimed his own empowered blows between Ban's tempo.

"Nice try!"
At that point, unless Ban had a way to pull out comfortably, the two assailants would be slugging at each other. Dark intentionally tries to use this tide to push him away from the center of the field and toward one of the forcefield houses. With any luck, he had some ideas.

Dark continued his literally electric display against Saiba-Ban, fighting with full force even as Ban attempted to deceive the cat with his explosive feint. With the momentum building, it seemed Ban was getting thrown around to and fro, and Dark showed no signs of letting up; using the terrain to his advantage, Ban was thrown through the barriers of one of the house but was quick to leap back to his feet as he readied for a counter attack. Zuqetta found herself on the edge of her seat, not simply due to the exciting display, but due to the risk of the Outpost suffering further damage; a few houses wouldn't have been an issue, a drop in the bucket in terms of repairs. If the two sought to take their fight further into the Outpost however, then it seemed intervention would be necessary.

For now however, with the cheers of the gathering spectators of mercenaries and non-combatants both, it seemed the display Ban and Dark was putting on might be something to capitalize on. Zuqetta would laugh to herself a bit at the enjoyment her people were having at the display, once all had been concluded it might be a bit worthwhile to pay Amara a visit in regards to reopening the underground Arena for similar events.

So Dark came right to his doorstep fine with him! It was going to give him one hell of a shot on Dark as he rushed in to attack! “You wanna come in close fine then!” He let the blast fire off as it slammed into Dark full force. Or at least he assumed so. Dark just kept going though as he nailed him. With the smoke clearing, Dark was not sent flying he was instead still standing right in front of him. Like nothing had happened! Well, not exactly. His bracers were gone and he looked pretty well hit. But he was hoping to have knocked the bastard down. And his ki still seemed strong, even if he could not sense it all that well. Saiba-Ban felt really worried now, how was he supposed to beat this guy? He really wanted to run away now. He took a few steps back his back touching the back of the building.

But, Dark was not gonna let him run away! Dark darted forward with a powerful set of claw attacks. It was like time slowed down for him. Saiba-Ban thought he could defeat this guy? He was crazy! He was not gonna stop for anything!? What was Saiba-Ban supposed to do to put this guy down? He didn’t have the skill, he didn’t have the grit. What did he have that this guy couldn’t fight against? That was it! Saiba-Ban would take something from his bag as Dark came in. He’d drink it down as his felt his ki resurge to life! The Slashes came down cutting into Saiba-Ban but they were met by a hardy skin as Saiba-Ban stared up at Dark. Blood ran down his mouth from the damage, not of Dark attack but from his Drink. The Soda can rolls away showing off the symbol of Hetap. But this can be not something they sold. It was illegal, but Saiba-Ban had something that bypassed those barriers. What was legal and illegal

Saiba-Ban was super fucking rich.

Saiba-Ban muscles bulked up under the stone skin he had formed. “Adapt…overcome….and kick Saiyan ass.” Saiba-Ban skin was not purple for the moment instead it was a bright green. He had just drank some radioactive Hetap after all. “That trick you did getting stronger with your muscles.” Saiba-Ban body now was defined by muscles. “I can do that too!” He would go to try to kick Dark into the air and through the roof of the building. Saiba-Ban raised his right arm towards Dark wherever they had gone. Green energy surged up his arm sparking to life as he looked up toward Dark. He knew using the Radioactive Hetap meant he was on a cloak. This stuff was pretty dangerous. And he felt awful drinking it. Like his whole body was on fire. And it prob was gonna have some long-term side effects. “Luxurious Leek Laser!” He would fire the one-arm green blast Toward Dark to try to deck the Saiyan with one hell of a blast. And hopefully this time he couldn’t try to block the attack. At least he hoped that would be the case. Saiba-Ban muscles deflated from exhaustion, it was a price to pay, but

"Huh."
Seems like this battle was getting to the saibaman, as he pulled out something to drink. Incredibly quick, considering his situation with saiyan fury right in front of him. Sharp eyes only give the can a moment's glance as he didn't recognize it entirely. He didn't realize it was an actual stimulating drug. A few of the soldiers obviously

"Sure, why not!"
Fatigue would settle in any other warrior, but not he. Even as claw and kick were met with hardened skin it didn't stop Dark from trying to beat the everliving snot out of the guy. Not that he could seem to find good purchase against this sudden hard carapace. Whatever it was he was got from that drink sure as hell gave him some defense. Or the energy to throw up one. It didn't stop there, as the little guy bulked up and threatened him with a good time. Point-blank and overextending himself, he would take this kick with a blocked arm and get shoved into the air. He Hovered there for a second, giving the guy a short laugh.

"That all that drink give you?!"
No. No it was not. Dark would get his answer with another telegraphed beam. Same thing, different angle. Up in the air, the cat could sense its approach coming. Again! He would pull his arms down to brace and coat himself with that obvious yellow ki once again. This time, it was particularly visible to the Saibaman that he was going to take it again.

"Hyaaaah!"
The blast hits against arms, already a bit battered by the last blast, as he uses the armor around him to disperse the blow. The laser knocks him a bit further in the air before the saiyan can manage to push out his arms and deflect the rest of the beam away. More ki burns and a light smoke appears above where the laser hit on his forearms. The hiss of burns slowly dies to reveal now some reddening from this one.

"Try again!"
With his light shell dissipating, he'd pull some of the last remaining energy from his defense and clutch it in an orb of ki above his palm. Holding it above his shoulder for a moment to build it up right before hurling it back down at the saibaman, right center mass. This curveball much quicker and dense than a normal ki blast. The crowd's going wild again, and the boy was certain Zuq was enjoying the display from him. Wouldn't be the first.

Zuqetta had literally held her breath as Ban's attack shot out towards Dark, her desire to rush out to aid him had been strong, but her determination to see their fight through to the end had been stronger. Neither requested her help or interference, and to the surprise all who watched, Dark would tank through yet another of Ban's blasts before rushing in to continue his assault. With a released breath, the girl couldn't help but to drop her previous stoic expression as she gave a relieved smile, and the fanfare that erupted from the further gathered crowds showed how exciting the moment had been to all that watched. However once Ban found himself stumbling away and lacking in energy, the momentum of the fight would change for a moment as he began to question the situation, prompting questions towards Zuqetta herself in particular.

"My word, huh?" Zuqetta would remark lowly as she thought of what her word might have been good for.

As a Mercenary, she hadn't failed a single contract, so when it came to the job she was a trustworthy with her word as they came. As a person however, she could only think about all her failings; She was meant to go with Vennel on a Planet busting mission, but abandoned her. She'd abandoned Zerori after claiming they would adventure together the following morning. Even now, she'd betrayed her word against Lottus by claiming she'd meet him in the battle in Hatchi City, instead, she was here enjoying a brawl between Ban and Dark. While her purpose was to prevent the destruction of the Mercenary Outpost, it wouldn't be wrong to say that she was simply enjoying herself.

"You seem to already have a negative outlook on Saiyans; I offered you a chance to walk away in the beginning, so that we could negotiate immediately." Zuqetta would explain in an amplified tone, with her spy drone hovering in to relay the message in case Ban couldn't hear it from afar, "I understand your willingness to protect your people; I as well would do anything for my people, even if it meant betraying those who placed their trust in me." She'd continue, giving a light sigh as she finished off her smoothie and tossed the glass, de-materializing it, "Against insurmountable odds however, you sought violence over negotiation; truly, there's a Saiyan within you!" She'd shout as she stood from her seat and looked down upon the Saibaman, "So know this, I have betrayed the trust of many I cared about and would continue to do so for the betterment of my people! My word, is only as good as you decide to make it; if you are a Saiyan at heart, then I shall protect you and yours as I have done so with all my people."

The implication was clear, Zuqetta no longer offered the chance to surrender; Saiyan's fought till the end, and Zuqetta her self did so for her people. If Ban held any true loyalty for the ones he sought to protect, then no matter the outcome, he wouldn't flee. While for the moment Zuqetta gave no guarantee to the fate of the Saibamen should Ban had fallen, she found herself more and more impressed by Ban's display; now only the question of who we be victorious between the two remained.
