The Final Hunt (Conquest AT)

Saiba-Ban could see it, this attack was meant to end the fight? To put him in the ground! He would raise his arms grinning. He seemed ready to take the attack head on! “I hope you won’t run away. Because, I am gonna end this!” Saiba-Ban waited for the attack to come. Was he insane!? He was going to wait and take Dark’s best shot head on! At his current state this attack would tear him to bits. But it was his only shot. His plan required this. He needed Dark to exhaust himself. To think he was going to win! Then to turn it all around! He was putting all the marbles down! No running away! If he was going to die then so be! He knew in a battle of skill he could not win so why even try! In a battle of attack for attack he’d lose. He only had one edge. Something that no one else could do. No one else would even try to do!

Saiba-Ban heard Zuqetta words and that seemed to bring Dark to his apex’s. To finally attack with all his muster! Saiba-Ban stared in awe as the blasts flew towards him. ‘I really am I a fool huh? Saying I’d stand here and take this?’ Saiba-Ban was nailed by the blast as the explosion sent him rocking through the air. Saiba-Ban body spun the smoke and charred remains of the Saiba-King. That be what most would think. Those who could sense ki could sense, Saiba-Ban was alive. In fact his power began to rise as he crashed to the ground. He had braced himself with a surge of ki to protect himself. But that was not at all. He had prepared for the attack, he meant to take it for a reason. He had done almost everything in power expect clash with his own ki attack? Why? Well it was very simple. He needed all that ki for what was going to happen next.

Saiba-Ban laid on the ground motionless for a few moments before slowly getting up charred flesh smoldering from the blast. He staggered up breathing hard. “What’s wrong…that was supposed to finish me off? You holding back on me.” He couldn’t tell if Dark had done that. Maybe he had a stronger attack or this was the apex of his power. But Saiba-Ban didn’t care. Nor did he have a choice. All of sudden Saiba-Ban power surged to life his muscles bulking up and infusing with his own power. He grounded himself once more looking towards Dark. though he was speaking to Zuqetta as his power kept rising. “Besmirching Saiyan Pride. I have not besmirched shit. Even if I have, you all besmirched Saiba-Pride. For a long time. No more. Not anymore! I am Saiba-Ban the coward! I ran away from Plant a long time ago! But Now i’m here. Your Saiba-King has arrived!” Saiba-Ban power surged to its max as ki surged on both of Saiba-Ban’s arm. His power was rising far more then its max as he pulled everything he had into it. This was clearly an all or nothing ploy! He had planned for this moment! To take Dark’s attack then fire back with one single attack to spell the Saiyan's defeat.


"Callous Cumber Cannon!"

A massive Green beam of Ki was unleashed from Saiba-Ban’s hands. The Beam sailed forth right towards Dark! It was focused to blast only him away! Precise control of ki, though he knew any clash from Dark would prob ruin that attempts to stop unneeded damage. As the beam left his hands though Saiba-Ban collapsed onto the ground! He lay there breathing hard. He may have been able to stand before but that was all he could have done. He had no energy left. He was spent. This was his Trump Card Play. He needed this to defeat Dark in one shot! If not, then he was done for. And he’d have to pull out Plan B.

Dark finally saw the fruits of his labor slam and fry into the suited Saibaman's arrogant stance. Tossing him away in a massive explosion of sparks and light dusting that would lick some of the onlookers in a light haze of red vegetean soil. An exhausted Dark felt his hands and lower arms spasm and twitch from the sudden overflow of energy carried out by them. He'd keep that launched stance for a moment as he caught his breath, reveling in his victory in a way only those overconfident did.

"Hah... Hahah..."
If it wasn't apparent earlier though, Ban would seem to have the last laugh. That sting of power rose into his nose as the Saibaman started picking himself up and showing his charred form in a still-violent passion. His tired laughs turned into a low chuckle as even Zuq seemed surprised by this. Why should he expect any of his challenges to be easy like that? Ban thought he was cutting deep by simply walking forth and dismissing his attack.

"Of course... of course, he'd survive that! My trial isn't over yet!"
This last quarter had become less of a contest of fates and more of an obstacle to overcome as any other. He knew the universe had been giving him these the last year and a half. He knew the rush it'd bring once he overcame it. He would NOT be stopped by this wall! Suddenly, as if pulling energy from nowhere, the rambunctious hybrids bounded from his place on the earth to run straight at Ban as he tried launching an attack.

"Every broken bone is healed back stronger, every fall is a reason to get back up! This wall does not phase me!"
A sudden beam of green seemed to pour out from Ban and over his form. His latent instinct to brace against the attack was overridden by his hulking drive to push through it. Yet, only a second after becoming enveloped, he would be blown away by an explosion of green and red. A smoke of debris covers his position as he's stopped dead in his tracks. Blasted to what may seem like smithereens. There was little fooling the Scouters and senses though.

Much like Ban, his power only rose with the landed attack. As Ban fell on his back, the dust settled quickly to reveal a cat standing strong. Arms are crossed over his face as this green blast stripped much from the warrior. All of his armor had been disintegrated, and many holes peppered his skin-tight undershirt to reveal ki burns of varying degrees. Parts of his hair had burnt with small signs of dying embers resting on individual strands. This included his hair, which had been frazzled at this point but still mostly intact behind him.

"I... am something more than a KING, Ban! Witness the beginning of a Legend!"
His yellow aura flared in one final push. The saiyan let out a roar with his arms bent out at his sides. Without giving the exhausted Saibaman a moment's rest he'd give him something else to think about. He'd lift off into the air and jump a great deal, only to land firmly into Saibaban. Stomping him out a few times. That yellow glow would coat his boots as he kicked until he could sense Ban's resistance slip away.

With bated breath, the climax of the battle would finally arrive; the crowds would fall silent once more as Ban's attack streaked across the field towards Dark, landing true against its target and enveloping him in an explosion of dust and debris. Unlike with Ban however, Dark would remain standing; his energy would flare up almost immediately to push away the cloud the shrouded him, revealing his worn down state, yet still determined attitude. A wash of relief would come over Zuqetta as she looked upon him; needing no further encouragement, Dark would be quick to retaliate through any pain he felt as he blasted forth once more towards Ban, pushing beyond his limits to bring the fight to an end once and for all. Through final words, Ban would take Dark's strike; but with the familiar glow, it seemed that the truest trick of all had finally come into play.

"Damned coward!" Zuqetta would exclaim as she rushed down from the sky; charging in directly behind Dark.

In a fraction of a second, Ban's energy would erupt and grow as he set upon Dark with the intent to self destruct. Dark had clearly been the victor, yet finally, now coupled with his current actions, Ban's deceptive words made sense. Just as Zuqetta would reach Dark, her arm extended in an attempt to take the man by the shoulder to throw him to safety, Ban would erupt. Her actions had been too slow, this final moment would have surely taken its toll against the exhausted Dark, with the potential of even killing him at such close range. Yet, just at the point that Ban's explosion would go off... his energy would decrease, and fade in an instant-

In a gory display, Ban would erupt with bit's of his being flying in all directions; the explosions was massive, though lacked the power to cause irreparable harm. Yet another feint perhaps, another trick just to mess with those around, though had it been a genuine attempt, then it was sheer luck that Ban's power had faded when it did. As the smoke cleared, and Dark stood tall above his opponent in victory, the cheers from the crowds would explode. The sheer spectacle of what the local groups and residents had just witnessed had been far more than many were likely to see through the course of their lives, and it had been achieved by the already locally known warrior, Dark.

The barriers that had been put in place would fall as drones retreated into the sky to return to Zuqetta's ship; guards that had been stationed around the town to prevent Saiba escape would do much the same, while a small platoon took to taking the corralled saibamen to a large, force shielded enclosement. It had been Dark's victory, which meant there would be neither freedom for the creatures nor a change in the current business model. With all that in mind however, Zuqetta would remained focused on Dark as he tore away the strands of underlay that clung to his torso and said his final words.

"Yeah, thats-" Zuqetta would begin rather quietly, immediately cutting herself off as she looked upon the man before her.

His power was lower, his body was slender, and he was no taller than Zuqetta herself actually was; but in this moment, to Zuqetta, the bushy-tailed man seemed larger than anyone. She saw him neither for his power nor his build, but for his resolve and determination. Dark fought as a True Saiyan, and in the truest sense of the phrase; Zuqetta would feel her face fluster as her gaze refused to avert from Dark's form. The feelings of her old crush began to build within her chest in spades, feelings she'd tried to ignore, seeing it as no more than a teenage affection. She was no teen however, and neither was Dark; he proven to be a man amongst men, a Saiyan of unwavering pride, a budding legend to be the envy of his peers.

She wanted to respond to him, a simple response; "That's right", it's all she had to say. Dark had been victorious, the battle was concluded; in the same calm and collected manner that she always wore when she put on her acts, she merely needed to respond accordingly and get on with her day. Yet as she tried to force the words out, her mind refused to remain calm or collected; her heart pounded, her tail flicked about anxiously while her expression seemed to redden further. Feelings she could barely process overwhelmed her, feeling that went well beyond what she'd experienced during her teen crush; Dark was no longer just an attractive face; he was a rival, he was strong, he was a list of things that Zuqetta felt she could suddenly name off for an eternity, but most importantly of all, he was safe...

"That-" She'd repeat, holding her clenched fist close to her chest as the tightening within strengthened.

That's right, that settles it. In spite of the unfavorable odds, and his deceptive tactics, you've come out on top! Zuqetta thought to herself rapidly, You've encompassed my belief in what a True Saiyan is, not simply by your victory, but by how you claimed it! Her mind would race while her voice refused to work. A simple act, as simple as they came; be the stronger warrior, give a warriors praise, give him the promised reward, then go about her day. Act as a leader, strong and stoic, mix a bit of personal wild charm into the persona and none would be the wiser. She'd fooled all at the battle for the Crown, both in the debate and in the battle; this was a cake walk in comparison!

Yet, despite her internal reasoning, it seemed this act was the most difficult of al to pull off.

Had she ever even told Dark anything about how she felt? She badgered him, abandoned him at a tournament, berated him at the Crown debate; in spite it all, he stood before her on equal measure and showed no sign of disrespect or displeasure with her actions. The feeling in her chest reached its climax; rather than merely speak, Zuqetta would allow her immature actions to express how she felt. She couldn't win this battle with herself, and she would accept the consequences that may have come of it; while plenty others had abandoned her, Lilith had proven that there were some few who would accepted her, perhaps Dark would as well.

"Dark!" Zuqetta would suddenly exclaim; her voice piquing in a slightly higher pitch than usual as her energy momentarily flared around her, "You did it!" She would exclaim excitedly, before suddenly rushing at Dark with open arms; far from an attack in the traditional sense however, Zuqetta's previously higher energy would vanish as she returned her to base for and fell upon Dark in an attempt to embrace him, "You won, you won!!!" She'd cheer joyously, equal part happy and relieved that Ban's plan against Dark had failed, "You kicked his ass! You survived!! And you won!!!" She'd reiterate as she attempted to take firmer hold of Dark, "You're the best!!! The absolute best!!!"

In this moment, Zuqetta would drop the pretenses of her usual persona and acts, caring little for how those who watched perceived her. Spectators to the fight hardly seemed to care as they passed around celebratory drinks, finding any reason at al to get themselves drunk. Zuqetta's guards would also leave the girl to her sudden shift, averting their gaze as if they had something better to do. It wasn't as though any around besides Dark had the power to stop her antics anyways; for this moment at least, Zuqetta would allow herself to express the feelings that she'd had locked away. The smiling expression she wore was brighter and truer than any expression she'd worn in a long time; pushed away or not, she could simply no longer contain her excitement.

Being a mostly plant based entity, it was difficult to say whether or to Ban would have been okay as Dark had mused, but Ban was hardly of any concern to Zuqetta now. The Outpost was defended, and the status quo was now free to remain the same thanks to Dark's efforts against Ban; yet all Zuqetta could focus on her Dark's reciprocated actions as he took hold of her in his arms. She'd wholly expected to be pushed away, perhaps questioned or responded to with annoyance; to be embraced in return confused her just as much as it brought her joy. To be scooped up into Dark's arms however, much like something out of a fairy tale would make Zuqetta's mind go completely blank as her face reddened the brightest of reds. She'd give no measures to resist, enjoying every second of it as Dark flew the two of them off into the theoretical sunset; it'd certainly be an interesting sight for her crew once they returned to her ship, but for the moment Zuqetta had no care in the least to maintain appearances.

At a later time, orders would come in to clean up the area of the outpost that had been destroyed. Buildings would begin repairs, funded by Zuqetta, while the body of the unfortunate soul that had crossed Zuq's path would be collected and returned to her ship for examination. The previously collected Saibamen Ban had wanted to release would be assigned to Dark under Zuqetta's orders, with him free to do with the creatures what he wanted. With Ban's body in bits and pieces, there was hardly much that could be done for him; it would become a well known rumor however that the area was under the protection of the Saiyan Warrior, Dark.
