Day Off

It wasn't long before Lilith would answer the call, appearing upon the beach in her usual grandiose fashion using her strange teleportation. Beneath her sunglasses, Zuqetta would open an eye to take notice but would refrain from drawing attention, finding it amusing to see Lilith search for her in such a confused manner. With how lax her guise was however, it didn't take long for the little goddess to notice her, but as she questioned the validity of whom Zuqetta was, Zuqetta could help but to laugh.

"Wooooow, I don't think you've EVER spoken ta me so politely!" Zuqetta would remark with a sharp grin as she leaned up from her lounge chair and removed her glasses, "I thought I told ya, it's Zulie while we're on Earth, remember?" She'd continue, giving Lilith a wink before snapping her fingers and materializing a second lounge chair for Lilith to relax on, "Long time no see Lil, heh, sorry for takin' so long ta come back. As ya can guess, things mostly went ta plan with that whole throne fiasco, though with a bit of complication. A new leader sits on the throne and Sadala is none the wiser to the bigger picture at large." She'd explain slyly as she crossed her arms, puffing out her chest in a proud manner.

While she had expected sass and a bit of chewing out for leaving her friend behind, what she hadn't expected was a sudden embrace. Zuqetta would tense up slightly from the hug, her face reddening as her eyes awkwardly panned the lay of the beach. It didn't seem that any really cared, but Zuqetta couldn't help but to suffer a feeling as though all eyes were on the two of them.

"W-what's with this?" Zuqetta would question as she tried to maintain her usual proud attitude through her embarrassment, "C'mon, I'm like... barely wearing anything right now, this-" She'd state in mild discomfort; understanding the sentiment that was behind Lilith's action however, she'd refrain from pushing the girl away, "F-fine, I... missed ya too." She'd say, surrendering to the embrace and returning the hug to Lilith.

Being garbed in merely a bikini make the exchange a bit more embarrassing, though Zuqetta wasn't entirely sure as to why; she never usually cared about her outward appearance unless it served to further her act, and had even been seen in nothing but a towel by her own sister, so to feel any strain of embarrassment now confused her. Regardless, she'd allow Lilith the momentary affection, before quickly pulling away of her own accord once she felt that plenty of time of the embrace had passed; which may not have been that long at all considering each second was beginning to feel like an eternity.

"Okayokayokay! Now sit! If ya don't wanna talk about whats gone on in Sadala, that's fine, but I'd still rather enjoy our time with some fun and conversation while I'm here!" Zuqetta would exclaim as she tossed her legs back up onto her lounge chair and quickly leaned back to relax, crossing her arms aggressively as she donned her sunglasses once more in an attempt to hide her embarrassed expression, "I ain't gonna be stickin' around long, and NO, you can't come with me this time either." She'd explain firmly, "Things are only gonna get more dangerous, and I ain't about ta expose ya ta all that." She'd finished, thinking back to her conversation with Lottus.

It seemed that her words had struck a cord with her friend after all, Zuqetta could hear the disappointed tone in Lilith's voice and withdrew slightly. While it was well within her right to be upset, Zuqetta was far more concerned for Lilith's safety than the adventures she had originally promised to share with the girl. They'd already experienced plenty of adventure across Plant, Namek, and Konats; while it wasn't ALL the adventure that Zuqetta had hoped to have with Lilith, it simply had to be enough for the time being. Zuqetta knew she couldn't control al the aspects of the universe, and there was no way for her to stop the events that were to come; if there was any hope for the two to continue their fun as they had up till now, then she knew she had to participate in what was to come.

"I'm sorry-" Zuqetta would begin lowly, "I don't mean ta leave ya behind like this, but... it's just, I..." She continued, averting her gaze as she struggled to force out the words she wanted to say, "Look, I... I don't think I can protect you." She'd say low, but firmly, "I want you ta stay safe, and the people I've fought? If something happened, then-"

Zuqetta could feel her heart racing as imagery of negative outcomes played quickly in her head; she refused to allow such consequences to become reality, and she knew the only way to keep those she cared about truly safe, was by keeping them as far away from the actions as possible. It was bad enough that the future that was to come to Earth was inevitable, being not a matter of if, but when. There was little she could do to protect the planet she'd grown so fond of, but while protecting a planet might have been difficult, protecting a person was much easier.

"Look just, stay away... please?" Zuqetta would plead, turning her gaze towards the ocean horizon before them as she spoke in a serious tone.

A wash of relief would come over Zuqetta as Lilith gave her response; as always, the girl was amicable and tolerant. It killed Zuqetta a little inside to once again be distancing herself from someone her trusted her, but at the very least she was no longer withholding the truth as she'd done in the past. Lilith knew very well what it was that she'd been doing back on Sadala, and had expressed her thoughts and opinions on the matter well; that fact that she continued to remain in spite of it all was a testament to their friendship, and Zuqetta could only hope to one day be able to repay Lilith in kind for remaining by her side.

With the more serious finally pushed aside, Lilith was willing to indulge in Zuqetta's request to enjoy the day together. They were at the beach, so of course the fun Zuqetta had in mind involved swimming if she could convince the little goddess to adorn an outfit besides that same getup she always wore. Before Zuqetta could make the suggestion however, seemingly out of no where, Lilith would have a remark of her own to add in regards to Zuqetta's appearance.

"Heh, I don't gotta worry about rivaling somethin' like beauty!" Zuqetta would remark as she sat up from her chair, slamming her fist into her palm before holding out her right arm for a powerful flex, "The only thing I gotta worry about rivalin' is strength, and their ain't no one who can rival MY strength!" She state proudly, completely oblivious to the nuance of Lilith's remark.

Lilith remarked on the odds of someone out in the universe being better than she was, but Zuqetta found it difficult to believe. While such a detail may have been true in the past, Zuqetta had already proven how much more powerful she was than those around her through many of her most recent encounters. Her encounter with Lottus especially had given her cause to truly understand her strength; the Saiyan man had to have been at the pinnacle of Saiyan strength, but she'd managed to best him. The man had said it himself, and Zuqetta understood perfectly; she was powerful because she was no mere Saiyan, she was a Super Saiyan! A comical title to be sure, but there was no better title than that which suited her strength!

"I've fought plenty out there, hmph, but if you insist, I'll take your words under consideration." Zuqetta would respond as she cracked the knuckles on her fists together, "Hehehe, and I'll prepare for the fun battles ta come IF there's actually anyone out there capable of offerin' me a challenge!" She'd say with a sharp grin as she leapt up from her seat while her currently hidden tail slapped the lounge chair away.

She looked down upon Lilith who had begun to make herself comfortable, expecting a sarcastic retort as the little goddess was always willing to give. Rather than any such rebuttal however, Lilith attempted to correct Zuqetta on the understanding of her previous statement. She hadn't been speaking of any form of rivalry, but instead was genuinely speaking about her appearance; Lilith had even taken the remark a step further, giving more specific details and mentioning Dark's possible attraction to her current self.

"Wh- I-" Zuqetta would stumble over her words as her face reddened, "I-I just exercise and train is all! Bodies naturally grow, the hell are you goin' on about!?" She'd exclaim, her face now an incredibly bright red, "What about you, huh!? Your chest has always been fat! Not that anyone cares, it's just- I mean, they're-" Once again finding herself stumbling over her words, Zuqetta realized she lost track of what it was she was even trying to say; with that said, she would resort to plan B, ending the conversation, "Know what!? Let's swim!!" She'd exclaim quickly, before reaching down to lift up Lilith's chair with the girl still upon it and tossing it at full force towards the water in an attempt to throw Lilith as well!
