Lottus stood atop a crumbled skyscraper, gazing out across the ruined metropolis. It was no longer remembered whose city this had belonged to before the Tuffles set upon it with Destron machines that pumped so much of the foul gas that it had led to this level of degradation.
Lottus had once privately theorized that it was built by the Tuffles, and conquered in the early days of the war by the Saiyans. Not wishing to yield a valuable tactical location, the Tuffles devastated it. The Tuffles had even devastated a region very close to their own capital city or Hatchi. The Saiyans settled on the far end of the planet just to have a viable living space. And it was possible that runoff from the Destron clouds are what caused the noxious state of the Saiba Pits.
The Tuffles had used Destron with reckless abandon in their bid to rid the planet of the Saiyan invaders, and succeeded only in killing much of their own planet. And now, as Lottus glared at the ruins, their cowardly weapons would soon be eradicated.
Lottus had sent a message to Fukushu, requesting the Heran to meet him at these coordinates. Fukushu had planned to aid Lottus, and Lottus had shown little gratitude. He still likely wouldn't, but their combined efforts meant proper communication. Once Hatchi is destroyed and the Destron capabilities of the Tuffles is eliminated, Fukushu had gained Lottus' word that he would aid the Heran in his bid to take personal revenge on the Earth's leader, Derry, and his allies.
Lottus had chosen this hour of the day carefully - it was a time when the winds blew much of the Destron away from the ruins. Within hours, more would spill from beneath the ground, once more flooding the ruins with the dark clouds of deadly gas. But for now, the ruins were largely safe.
