Once again - for possibly the fourth, or even fifth time - Lottus' attack was utterly, completely obliterated. The immense power of the Heran was every bit as great as the demon Lottus had only recently battled. He pushed hard, but his energy was dispersed by the Heran's attack like it had been nothing. Now, as the blade of pure energy stabs through the air, Lottus' crazed smile flickers but only briefly, and the Saiyan can only laugh at his coming demise.
Lottus opens his arms wide, knowing he didn't have the speed nor the power to stop what was coming his way. He laughs, accepting his fate with the vigor and pride of a true Saiyan. It was a good fight. And this, was a good death.
Only, death never came. The blade of crackling Ki stops mere inches from Lottus' midsection, the promise of a body splitting impalement suddenly coming to an abrupt halt, and suddenly dissolving like smoke in the wind. Lottus stands, frozen in place for a moment, trying to come to terms what just happened - or more properly, did not happen.
The Heran speaks, and Lottus lets his arms fall to his sides. The Heran then said the last thing Lottus would have expected - making an offer to battle other powerful enemies. Lottus' smile widens, and he laughs loudly, his rasping voice echoing through the air. The opportunity to battle more than just the pitiful Tuffles, and whatever refuse managed to show up on Plant was a thrilling idea.
"If your enemies are even half as strong as you are, then sure - I'll play the hammer." Lottus says, once his laughter died down. His body essentially shrinks, and his dark aura dissipates. "Anything could be better than waiting for the next thing to happen on this rock. But I retain my freedom to come and go as I please - no one gets to command me. Offer me the chance to splatter walls with blood, to shatter bone and crush skulls, and I'll come to play."
Lottus offers another hearty laugh, but this one is completely free from the earlier madness he had been showing. He had been beaten - yet again. But each defeat was at the hands of warriors so far above his own power, that the fact that he still lived meant that he could still rise to eventually meet, and surpass, those veritable fortresses.
"That was fun, for what it was." Lottus adds, grinning. "So then - you were looking for some old man?"
Lottus seems to consider it.
"I don't know of any old bags of bones out here in the wastes, but you know more about that than I do." Lottus continues. He walks up to the Heran, and smirks. "The name is Lottus, by the by. Killing is what I do - and not usually because I'm asked to."
