So it had come to this.
While the young Saiyan didn’t harbour the deep seated hatred for the Tuffles many of her kind did, a lifetime of war against the same enemy still didn’t make it easy to trust them. She saw angry eyes and quick gestures wherever she went in Hatachi and more than once she’d skirted an alleyway to avoid traveling down it just in case. While she figured she could handle herself in most situations she didn’t want to invite the trouble to find her and by staying in the public eye, the hope was at least that people would think twice about doing anything radical. She’d forgone wearing anything too flashy from her trip to Earth and avoided her Saiyan armour, instead opting to wear some simple pants and a loose fitting shirt under a dusty brown traveling cloak. The fabric of the old cloak helped to hide the tail wrapped round her waist but there was little she could do about the mass of hair that refused to be restrained and proudly cascaded down her shoulders to her waist line.
Jagaimo was struggling. No matter what she did she couldn’t seem to grow in strength while those around her continued to climb ever higher and the young warrior refused to believe she had reached limits already when so many around her had surpassed theirs. To make matters worse, what little strength she had continued to fluctuate seemingly at random and quite variedly. She already experienced what this could do to her in the middle of training or combat and it was becoming harder and harder to not see it as a sign that body was already straining at its limit…that the pressure she was putting it under was making it fight against her and break down. The Saiyan had spoken to others offhandedly back in Salada, trying to glean information where she could about whether anyone knew of this happening before. And while certainly not unique it didn’t appear to be that common. Most stories seemed to be about someone, who knew someone who'd heard of someone…but never a direct witness or anyone with insight into how it was overcome if at all.
The young warrior had started asking around as soon as she got to Hatachi City, nothing to forward just vague questions about custom equipment…power regulators…even scientists that might study living creatures…but never more than one or two questions in the same place lest people get too suspicious. She’d never quite gotten the hang of working through a lie so it helped to break up the truth into smaller chunks to give only a glimpse of the picture behind it. Slowly from what she learned Jagaimo had pieced together that there might be someone here worth talking to, some people called him a scientist, some called him an engineer, but all fingers began to point her in his direction and towards a workshop type place he might still be working from within the city. With no idea what to expect she banged on the door with her fist, listening for anything that might indicate someone was home.
“Dr Korado?! I need to speak with you!”
